Ok, so I understand why they implemented the current modifier system for Siege, and it is good to encourage teamplay above all else.
However, the annoying factor in siege is that even if you do well (and I mean a good KD and helping the objective) in a number of rounds of siege, you can still end up with x1 for the entirety because of two sometimes overriding factors:
- team mates who refuse to play objective based
- map imbalances that basically guarantee one side winning (for instance the new spiral staircase map :) )
Would it be game breaking to have a SLIGHT modifier reward for good performance?
Maybe just a nominal amount of gold/exp?
Thoughts?

+1 gold and +5 xp for a kill.
Then, add multiplier.

maybe its like this ::
if your team wins and have a positive or even score, you gain nothing extra
if your team LOSSES and you have a positive or even score, you gain a performance modifier (which is minimal) on top of your x1 the next round.

There are many things someone could do to reward good teamplay but all are very hard to code i guess.
If you want to be rewarded for your game and make a difference join a clan and make teamplay.
You dont decide a game alone but you can decide it if you are in a clan and work as a team.

Well, i am in a clan, and you are right...
Playing in a coordinated clan should augment this system by working together and hopefully winning more, not be the only way to avoid the luck of the dice.

Nej, if i guard a secondary entrance or a gate controll and no enemy shows up, then i get nothing although i have done my job.
Or as ladder carrier, because of the slots i can not wear all of my ussual equipment. So i am less effective but with the ladder i can create new possibilities for a successful attack.

More gold for being near the flag. This is the greatest idea I have heard all week!

The last thing siege needs is gold or experience for kills. Siege is about taking or defending a castle, and kills are only instrumental if not incidental to these objectives. Extra gold or experience for being near the flag in the last minute(s) seems like a great idea. Also 100(?) gold for closing a gate that was opened by the enemy.

I agree, something like that would motivate people to focus on the objectives- add +gold for kills in Battle mode and add +gold for raising or lowering the flag in siege mode (maybe also for killing people near the flag). Right now there's not much motivation, since the way we're playing games now is "C-RPG communism mode" everyone gets the same amount of rewards as one another no matter if some guy is running around in circles not doing anything while someone else is trying his best to complete the objective for the team.

Mmh... and what if the enemy and myself keep on closing and opening the door ? :lol:

Perhaps a winch gate, rather than a simple wooden door. That seems more difficult to abuse. Also, of course, all of these effects would only trigger when there are more than 50 players active on a server.

That sounds reasonable, although there are some maps where one or two portcullis are completly useless so two people might still abuse them for a little while.

No.. the door breaking idea is stupid. You'll have people breaking doors down when it's not always necassary. However, giving people gold / exp for kills 'around the flag' or raising / lowering the flag would prove alot more useful.
