This game is perfect the way it is, stop messing with it.

If they didn't missed with it, we will continue to earn xp/gold per kill, everybody will be in plate, you will still see plated charger HA, pike of tears will pwn you, and char will be omni-tools weapons, etc...
Somewhat, i agree the game is balanced now.
-
And the problem was, what exactly?
-
NO
Nerf archers because they can shoot arrows
-
Yes, I must have been blind throwing is clearly working as intended.
-
What was wrong : lvl 40, 200 wpf, plate armor, danish sword, sniper xbow guy.
What was wrong is simple, the mutliplayer game mechanics were maid for specific class (native one), there was not maid for higher stats with uber gear and uber attributes, skills and wpf.
-
He liked it like this. I guess if you were one of those 200WPF oobertanks, it wasn't so bad.

I often get kills with my thrower.
But I think the real issue here is that any time there is a cRPG patch, it typically fixes 0-1 things and completely screws up tons of things. So if things cant be done in small sensible amounts that don't turn "OP" builds into useless ones, then they shouldn't bother fixing things at all, just leave em alone.

If this would be the case.. why do people, like the OP, consider the game balanced now? When apparently lots of things should be screwed right now.

Throwing was really only the thing that got properly screwed. I think everything is relatively balanced.

This, sorta.
I still think 0 wpf crossbows are bullshit and 3x loomed horses could use a slight maneuverability nerf.
-
nobody wants a crossbow with 0 wpf because of the upkeep.
-
nobody wants plate armor with minimal str requirements because of the upkeep

+ weight and wpf penalties

Yes I agree with it, there might be some little thing to be balanced, and maybe something could be added, but all in all I think that this mod is far more stable than the first version I played (which was like half a year ago)
-
I for one am happy with the most part for this mod, which is nice considering last I checked it is still an open beta.
Throwing needs a massive tweak. Horses could use a small one, crossbows a small one too just for wpf minimums, and a select few weapons do need a small tweak to smooth out the wrinkles (very small buff for warbow, very small nerf for Bec', fix a few weird things with shields costing more simply due to being green etc).
I am pretty happy with the item balance all things considered.
I mainly am more interested in this there straty thingy...

Fuck your crossbow tweak, that will make my arbalest near impossible to aim, as it already can't rival an archers reticle at 160 wpf, and the damage was already nerfed with removing the sniper xbow for an arbalest. I think horses are fine, they were already nerfed in the last patch.

How will it make it impossible to aim?
All I want is there to be a minimum of wpf for ever crossbow. if you have 160 wpf then you should be able to use every crossbow available. I am not asking for a change in accuracy as a blanket penalty to every crossbow, I am merely asking for there to be some kind of "requirement" for crossbows that force an investment in wpf, so that if you only have 1 wpf then you can only take the worst crossbow.
EDIT: And I am rather confused, what do you mean "damage was already nerfed with removing the sniper xbow for an arbalest.?"
Sniper Crossbow
weight 3.75
requirement 15
spd rtng 18
shoot speed 60
thrust damage 75 pierce
max ammo 1
accuracy 93
Can't reload on horseback
Gen1= 19spd 61shspd 79pierce 94acc
Gen2= 20spd 63shspd 83pierce 95acc
Gen3= 21spd 64shspd 87pierce 96acc
The damage ends even with the same number at the masterwork level...
Steel bolts use to be 8 to 10 damage, and now are 8 to 13... You received more damage actually....

Thought you meant making accuracy worse for crossbows, and in turn making 0 wpf hard to shoot with and higher levels have worse accuracy. I would agree with the wpf requirement to use xbows, though, I was just thinking you meant something else.

Arbalest is already more accurate than bows at 160 wpf. I don't think accuracy needs to be changed. As I suggested in another thread, if wpf requirements for crossbows can't be done, then 0 wpf crossbows need to be insanely inaccurate and take forever to reload, but high wpf users shouldn't be changed.

Sounds about right.

If this would be the case.. why do people, like the OP, consider the game balanced now? When apparently lots of things should be screwed right now.
Because over time people change their builds to adapt for the changes. However when patches come out I've often found that I have to change my build all around and by the time its reworked, I get similar results that I got before the patch. At least when these big changes are made it would be nice to have point and heirloom resets so that I don't have to take time changing things around for the same result as before. There are lots of things that are screwed up right now. To know how many you'd have to count all the throwers out there, because it is a class that maybe needed a couple adjustments, and instead it now has far less killing potential than any other pure class no matter how you build it. I don't quite agree that the game is perfect right now (Strategus is a part of the game that can use some additions), but I think changes should be put in in smaller amounts and allow people to change when their build no longer works the way it use too without starting over from lvl 1.
