Hello,
For some reason I lost my veteran status while I retired at level 31.79.
At first I thought levels were re-evaluated, but then I saw people at the bottom of the list who got the veteran status at a retirement before 31.79.
It is possible to get it back ? Thanks.

That's strange though.
Now it is much easier to get to level 32. Back then, you had to grind for days to be able to uplevel.
In the end there was just some levels added, but the grinding time looks to be the same.
Yesterday there were two more players who became veterans.
-
I lost the Veteran Title on one of my Veterans chars too, and the char is still level 33. The other one (level 30) still has it. It's obviously a bug caused my the latest updates/changes.

lvl 32 before the pod gave veteran, lvl 36 after pod gave veteran. If they were getting veteran status at lvl 31 it was long before my time and I have played for 6+ years. I got master on 9/24/2014 which was lvl 33 before POD.
but I see why the confusion.... Asheram is lvl 34 and when I click on the retirement tab it gives grandmaster title option not legendary. Skillless is lvl 33 which is offering Master title and Gunanrun is lvl 32 which is offering veteran not the following variables.
Additionally, the titles gained by playing the game are now obtained at different levels
Veteran: 36 -> 31
Master: 37 -> 32
Grandmaster: 38 -> 33
Legendary: 39 -> 34

Hmm... does that mean there is no way to get it back ?
As back then getting to level 31 was much harder than it is today. It wasn't long, ago, in 2014.

30-31 took as long to get to as 1-30. 31 was the first chance at retiring and didnt give a title, you had to go past 31 to 32 or above to get a title. Like I said I retired my main at lvl 33 which gave master title, the title after veteran in 9/24/2014 before the patch of destiny. I actually retired my main 3 times at lvl 33 before pod hit.
Was you ever at lvl 32 before pod or 36 after it? And in order to get the title you have to retire at the level not just get to the level.
The only reason leveling is easier now is because there have been several xp gain changes that happened since those earlier times

As I posted above, lost titles still must be a bug. I have had two Veterans and one of them lost the title while one kept it. It doesn't make sense.

I dont trust that list though look at the dates it says they retired on and the date I got master was 1 month after gaylords which was at lvl 33 and gave master title. Plug Asheram into the search of that list.

So it is way more easier now to get to level 31 and you also get veteran in bonus while it was way harder before and you didn't get veteran ?

lvls are wrong in the quote from Professor in my previous post says you get veteran at lvl 31 but it is lvl 32. So like I said to Warlord if lvl 31 you got a title it was before april of 2011 becuase it has always been lvl 32 for veteran title since I have played which has been 7 years.
The only reason it is easier now is the several xp/gold gain changes that happened in the past few years.
-
If I look at the hall of fame, all the people on that list that retired before level 32 lost their Veteran title, while I think the levels displayed now are wrong. I got the Veteran title ont hat char and now it's gone (like dozens of other chars) because all the xp/levels were rescaled again.

Strange though as I clearly remember being veteran... :rolleyes:

Yup, sounds like it.
-
All the chars in the hall of fame showing up with no title at all wouldn't be there in the first place if this wasn't for a bug. All the people displayed in the hall of fame with no title are actually Veterans.

If thats the case they retired at lvl 32 at some point before patch of destiny or 36 after pod
Dead_Wight is my newest char and I only retired on him so far at lvl 35 before this rollback and he didnt have a title none of those time and still has none.

I think the retirement was made at level 36 which got me the Veteran title, and after the rework, it got downgraded to level 31.79 (as shown by the screenshot) but without having the title carried on.
The displayed level must have been scaled to the new XP system.

I did retire that char long before that patch and last time I checked it still had the Veteran title, like a few months ago or something.

Ahh thats it then. What level are you now did you try retiring since to see if that fixes it?

Wait, what patch are we talking about? I'm seriously losing overview here :D

patch of destiny is when retirement went to lvl 35 from lvl 31 neither gave me a title. So something in this rollback seems to have borked some peoples titles then if you retired at lvl 32 way back or at lvl 36 in the patch that this rollback changed.

Ok, according to the Hall of Fame I retired one Veteran at 32 in 2014 and the other one at 31.79 in 2015. the last one lost the title. I am pretty sure I didn't actually retired that char at level 31,XX.
Seriously, I just want that title back -.-

yea 2015 was probably at 36 after pod

I'm going to do a SQL query to give everyone who retired in old system at 32 their veteran titles back. Soon. (dec 2010)

Here allow me to explain what happened here.
With the level revert patch that we released; the conversion of XP threshold for titles were imperfect.
Levels where scaled slightly higher than they were in 2014 when titles were implemented.
So you have discrepancies between previous retire values that previously allowed for veteran status that no longer meet the threshold for veteran status.
The title chart displays the level you would have retired at given if the XP was the same then as it is now.
Edit: had no idea this was resolved.

The wording in my first reply could have been better xD

-
Yeah it's fixed now.
