It would be good to know how many new players actually do start playing every day/month.

While a Wiki is a good idea, I think the amount of new players is disproportionate to the work flowing into said Wiki.

So, while making crpg great again by organizing amazing events and making pics to post on this forum I've got an idea of making a cRPG wiki to help new players learn the mod and oldmy old friends to increase their e peens by sharing their wisdom.

Since it will be a wiki for all of us I want to ask what YOU want to see there. Of course on wiki you're able to edit whatever you want but I'll need to organize all categories first some there won't be 3 pages about registering in game written by different people.

Some of my own ideas with explanation about why it would be a good idea to add something like this:

  • Beginner's Guide - guide for new  players with all major stuff explained. There's a bunch of random guides on this forum. Some are outdated, some are way too complicated with formulas and stuff and completely new players don't really need that. Guide will cover everything that new players need from installation to picking right equip for your 2h hero and random tips.
  • Builds - 2 dead threads in noob section here on forum, would be useful for old players too to check some other classes or silly builds.
  • Players and Staff database - full list of admins, event managers and other staff with contact info and database of players both active and not. For players you could tell your own stories or stories of those who quit but are famous for any reason.
  • Rocket science for pros - all those formulas to find how many seconds it takes to fall from that roof on that battle map so you kill cav moving on full speed with 6 riding and 56kg of equip.
  • Strat - all stuff related to strat. Updated strat guide, current diplomacy and maybe history
  • Items - all items from shop. Ye, it's kinda pointless but with wiki tables you'll be able to sort all items by any criteria, see screens of players wearing it, read if it suits your build and most important imo to see stats of secondary modes of weapons that can be seen only in game.

You could cannibalize the better threads from the guides subforum, although some of it would have to be updated for current rules. Maybe have a list of all the maps on rotation, with a picture? I agree that it's a bit late for crpg though. Better save it up for games likely to survive the coming year.

Tho I see no point of wasting your time making a viki for this.
I would rather try to work together with Donkey team and make a Wiki of  oKaM as they develop and release dev-blogs.
So people can check it out to see whats implemented and what is not. That kind of stuff.
It is just a waste of time and effort imo

I just wanted to say that you can sort items on the website too (checkboxes for "only show items I can use," limit by weight or length, and etc. Secondary mode stats would be helpful, but I don't think you need to retread anything that's shown on the crpg website.

I think strat should be the biggest section on the wiki, since it's the unique part of crpg that other M&B mods don't have. It's also very hard to get started if you have no idea what you are doing. Many of us have been there, however long ago.

Beginner's guide and nerd stats can often be found on taleworlds forum the real basics of the game are just M&B with some tweaks here and there. If you include a "getting started" page it should make clear what mechanics are different from vanilla M&B since 99.9% of the people that find crpg own and have played vanilla M&B.

I would add something about DTV. Description of every wave, best tactics etc. But is it worth bothering, if there are few new players coming in? We could always copy some guides from the forums.

I was going to say last night, but was at work and seem unable to log in on my phone now;

you should just make the whole thing a Staff/Players database and have chat functions, it can be called SpergsOnly.

Id like to think honesty would win the day. I think you should have pics about the current state of the game. Like a tombstone with "rip" on it.  A fork inserted into a roast to indicate its done. A fat lady singing...etc. etc.
