Hi,
With the increased levels and higher builds we have these days, I have seen a LOT of agi builds. Like, VERY agi builds. Borderline-troll agi builds.
That is fine, we want diversity in the game!
The issue is we have these players wearing peasant clothes, with rocks, or daggers, or whatever, running all over the map. Like, all over. When they see a player that may actually give them trouble, the kite and kite and kite. They S key backwards and dart in and out at inhuman speeds. They run away, S key and dart, and try to stab. Then they run away again. They are chased all over the map. It delays the rounds, and it is not fun. It's kind of like the archers used to be, until weight of ammo was nerfed.
I do perceive this as being a real problem for the mod. Yes, the builds are annoying to fight, but they are also ridiculous. When there are 3, 4, or 5 players in the round with builds like this, it starts to wreck the fights and flow of battle.
I think we should nerf the S key (backwards movement) to help balance these characters and keep things "normal". Backwards movement should be slower than it currently is.
If you have a different suggestion, please put here.

Well, it is only a matter of playstyle, Some people prefer to be speedy and take the risk of being 1 or 2 hit by an archer, while others rely on hp and armor to score.

Yes, this is how is used to be.
I agree, we want diversity and different play styles. I mention this in my post.
However, with lv 35, now the trolling and excessive melee kiting is rampant. Not only that, but players run and run to AVOID fighting, and delay the round.

Is this EU or NA we're talking about?

/ agree.

I am on NA. Maybe things are different across the pond.
-
Well, it's different but also has a lot of similarities I assume. I've played on NA on multiple occasions but people were always friendly and bro-coding and such (wich is happening on EU as well). I did notice the amount of agi spammers though, quite high. With strat it was the same.
In EU (as far as I can say) it's quite ''balanced'' , a lot of polearms, a lot of 2hers and some archer/xbowers/throwers, but not a surprising amount of spammers on steroids. I'd say the average agi in EU is around 18 to 27 (and not that much 27 though, most melee players get the balanced build of 21/24 or 24/21/)
-
It's not agi spammers, those are ok. It's people fleeing...running to corners of the map. There is always one or two of them at the end of the round (or middle of the round), leading a pack of 3 or 4 players chasing them delaying the round.
What is the point?

no clue high af

Noticing the exact same thing on NA here. It's just obnoxious and makes me not want to play the game.
-
You gave away their secret how could you.
If they nerf s key then they should buff a/w/d keys.
-
I love when some chump thinks they will play me by s keying me in a team fight and I just turn around, switch targets and demolish the rest of their team until they realize what a mistake it was to let me live.
Don't play their game if it really bothers you, counter their running by running yourself. Most of the time I will still chase them even if it's a bad idea, and if I die I know it was my fault for giving them the advantage.
-
So what you're saying: is everyone should have the same stats.
-
I rarely have issues with S-keyers (regardless of my current build), as chester said it's usually best to let them be and fight someone else or wait for them to start to close the gap. The real issue is all the 10+ athletics xbowers/throwers who kite around for days (using their W key, mind you).
-
Fuck your s key suggestions, I have no desire to be playing this shitty mod until the servers are reset, the lag is unbearable even with 20 ping.
-
Buff W
-
If they are annoying, then theres no reason to nerf. If they are overpowered then yes nerfs might be needed. Just dont follow them, its not that hard. And if they follow you just stick to corners and bait, or get flags. I have never ever had an issue with troll builds.
-
This is an interesting suggestion, and it might resolve the issue if we're not willing to revert to the old leveling system. The game right now feels less like it's about tripping up other players and more about who gets a lucky hit while s-keying. As for the servers feeling laggy, I have absolutely no idea if that's true because I have been playing on a Macbook for the last three weeks, and I attribute most of the nonsense I deal with on a daily basis to that.

meh still (A)key>(S)key maybe im used to play more low ath so A for the win or W

scrubs

revert to old level cap, the only way to fight these troll builds is to camp flags
sorry if i think that nerds who play 3/69 who just run away from all fights are stupid
these are not legit agi builds, these are troll builds that are made possible from the level cap
schoi sucks 1v1 ft1 3mil ez win

Let's ft7, one duel is nothing. Seven duels shows who can adapt and is the overall better player.
But it'll have to be a different time if you want it on cRPG. The servers are not in a very good state at the moment, which is why nobody plays.

People cant run backwards fast swinging their arms without falling over. Either nerf the silly backward speed or give it a chance per distance unit to fall over.
-
The only people I have a problem with is backpeddlers. The ones who constantly go backwards in every fight. At least agi users actually attack you most of the time.
You want a solution to the people who use S key? Stop following them blindly like an idiot and go fight somewhere else, if they follow, turn on them and attack, they run away again. It's a game of who follows who. If you constantly follow them, you will be the one who loses. Don't follow them, and you win (most of the time, at least from my experience)
