Title: Notice to Squids
Post by: Balikar on November 20, 2014, 12:19:47 am
Yet again, an Astralis army marches out to meet one of yours.  This time, it's Arms.  Devestator was marching to fight you in a field battle Legs.  Then you run and hide behind Dhirim's walls.

I'll say this.  Squids, you don't get the strat crown.  You have no spine.  You are afraid to fight.  You would rather paint the map green by taking out Crime ridden fiefs with a shitload of SnD, and no army, than to fight a real battle.

Crown goes to Kesh's crew, Bryggan's Crew, Acre, or hell, to Astralis.  I'd even rank the Yoshi's higher than you.  We're looking for a fight, and you guys are no where to be seen.  Pathetic.

Devestator will march halfway to Dhirim.  If you want the community to think differently, meet him there.  We want a prime time battle so people can enjoy the fruits of our labors...  it's impossible to coordinate things with you because all you ever do is run with your tentacles tucked between your legs.

There has been 4 armies within range of you for three days. Just stop squakin already for fucks sake. Anyway attacks are disabled you little turd strudel.

edit: I tried attacking Nova Curaw 4 times and it wouldn't Q, then James had Viceroy_Axeman_of_Acre delay so I couldn't raid.

Within range?  Last time I had enemies within range, they were quick marching away from me.  Go go 10k and Deserter.

They never used quick marches. They just moved north. Kesk was sitting on top of New Tadsamesh afk'd that whole time; go spew your bullshit elsewhere.

Yep, they marched away AFTER the gauntlet was put down.  Still constitutes as running.

No, we don't.  Considering how fearful you guys have been for so long of a real fight...  And how you keep trying to pad your scores with undefended, crime ridden fiefs...

I think the community would agree that it's just not you guys.  Sorry.

The only time I pad my score is when I engage you on NA1.

This is a strategic war game; we do not coordinate battles but since you seem a little slow with strategy let me help you out.

Quit with the cry baby attitude and go attack narra, I triple dog dare you. no balls. Why would we fight devestator in the field he can come retake his shit city.

Describes you pretty much.

My endgame seeing the timer was to take a pass at Dhirim and retake Knudarr castle if possible. I accomplished both of those then idly returned to Dhirim. You were passing by, the timer was nearly done, so I was open to letting you attack me. Stuff happened in Senuzgda castle. It turned blue and big dots appeared. Strat didn't end. I have money, troops, equipment, and a hard-won city so I guess I'll hang out here for a while. Talking about a fair fight... we attacked the city, so you can do it too. Even then you should be able to win pretty easily considering the difference in the number of troops.

Dude you guys are truly try hards.  This strat is over, and no one really cares about who has what fief.  Those who still have armies simply want to use their troops, and gear.  No more, no less.

Original plan was to take over Senuzgda early last week.  You guys hit Tilbaut, and that changed my course.  No more, no less.  Again, just trying to help people out  and provide some actual fights.

Fair fights in the field give squids nightmares.

I know, right?  It's sad.  :-(  I was told they actually wanted a field fight.

Then come throw your army at a castle wall if you want to use it bundle of sticks. As for goretooth, once you guys started losing you all quit.

In short, no.  I for one find field battles more fun.  I think the community does too.  That's why NA1 is more populated than NA2 at all hours of the day.  Also, I sucked it up and attacked a castle.  It was Caraf.  Sadly, you had abandoned it.  Hell, I even put up a post asking for a target, asking if you'd prefer a field battle or siege.  Remember this:

http://forum.melee.org/mercenary-recruitment/prime-time-na-battle-for-monday-11-10-14/ (http://forum.melee.org/mercenary-recruitment/prime-time-na-battle-for-monday-11-10-14/)

At this point I may just go park the Astralis armies in a castle and say screw it.

chadz in a basket, Moonshine.  Haven't you ever played single player?  If you want to get them to fight you, you go to their lands and attack their villages.  Villages are essentially field battles with a few archer perches for the defenders.  When we were hunting Goretooth's army we took most of the villages looking for him.  We eventually found him hiding in New Tosdhar, his 1500 demoralized men apparently had fallen to drink and eventually were murdered by the peasants in their sleep.

True, we never did get our big field battle, but we tried.  So use a little strategy.  XP battles are gay.  Hit them where it hurts.

Tried that.  Took a fief, then a castle, and didn't get a word out of them.  They bitched and moaned all strat that people were sitting in fiefs, and my oh my, look at that,  they're doing it too.

Can't you and Holiday just have this argument in person at Allday's place?  This is getting ridiculous.  Maybe settle it over a game of Smash?

No.  If I do it there, then you won't have anything at all to read.  Again, this is for the community.  ;-)

You're right allday would probably rip your head off for being a dick bag. You wouldn't even make through the door since you disowned him over a mod of a game.

If you're bored, take all their villages.  For E-peen's sake they must defend them.  And if they don't, your E-peen will engorge and become immensely large.  The sad thing is that this depends on roster support.  You could potentially lose a 2100 army to a peasant village if no one shows up.  But rather than quit Strat like a pussy (like three quarters of this game did), I'd say, 'Man up and RP!"

I'd say lay waste to villages, hunt caravans, and devestate the country side of the Squids.  in medieval times the weaker army never wanted a field battle, but hid in castles.  So the enemy forces attacked their source of income- villages.

So while we may all bitch at the devs for being so stupid to make towns castles and villages pretty much the same, we must realize they were mere children at the time.

So I say leave a fiery path of destruction in your wake.  Take the villages and move on. If they recapture them, take em again.  If you lose your army cuz of supid dumbass rotten homoerotic roster suport, then give up.  But, until you're army is defeated, never give up.

BTW, 13 Knights are going to have a war of extermination.  We intend to wipe!!!!  And whatever gentleman's agreement you guys made, I was never a part of it.  Nobody ain't never done no talkin to me.

I guess my point is that all people here are real people, and while I love you all, I am tempted to fuck y'al (ok, that came out gay

Fuk y'al

I'm not going to allow you to bait me into saying something bad about All Day on the forums.  The breakdown in relations is personal, and goes further than a stupid game.  He's gotten me into other games, and left them shortly thereafter.  Trust me, it's not the game.

Edit:  Removed the personal parts about Holiday as well.  Shouldn't get personal in forums.

To be exact, Half brothers, if I remember correctly. And, there's other, more personal family stuff in the background. Balikar is a Family man, while Allday is a player(or was).
