Title: Make crpg mechanics into single player mod!
Post by: CrazyCracka420 on October 01, 2014, 04:10:24 pm
Wouldn't it be great if the crpg mechanics were ported over to a native single player?  Wouldn't need to be anything fancy (like some mods try to do), just overwrite the native single player mechanics with crpg.  I'm guessing you'd have a lot of people playing it.

That's the one thing that bugs me when I go play Native MP, is that they have native mechanics, which I think are vastly inferior compared to crpg.

The mechanics really don't matter if you can just abuse bad AI.

The bots in commander mode could 1v1 you. I always had bots on my server and they were 100x better than native bots.

The best thing about your server was setting it to "team" deathmatch with roughly 100 bots. It turned into a FFA survival fest where each bot could easily 1v1 you with their 1000 wpf and super chambering skills. I had a pretty good event going once where the map was set to a tiny siege castle, and there was maybe 10-15 humans trying to survive with 100 bots crawling around everywhere, killing anyone and everyone. We were hiding on rooftops, in watchtowers... everywhere. BUT. NOTHING. WORKED. You can't hide from the horde (or their ranged). It minds well have been a zombie apocalypse type of game like Dayz since we were all "against" each other since it was a FFA, but you could form fragile alliances with other players to fight against the bots, waiting for the opportune moment to stab em in the back.

In fact, I think you might have showed up near the end of that, Jack. RIP Jack's server.

SP is just nord to win. Hire nords make them stand still, make them bunch together, hide behind mass of nords, watch everything get obliterated.

nords and vaegirs (archers) for me.   nords only are vulnerable to khergits on open field.  archers can help kill the horsemen who ride around in circles, and also are useful when besieging to lighten up enemy defenses (have my infantry holding next to the walls).

Everything is effective in SP war band, because on default your guys take like 1/2 damage, and you and your heroes take 1/4.
