In my opinion there are too much conquest maps and to less "Normal" siege maps. It would be a good idea to play 5 "normal" siege maps and then 1 conquest map. so it would be balanced.

Yep i agree with Aprassimov. Conquest maps are just a bunch of Players who want to capture 1 flag. After a while it really sucks because this shit happens at every god damn flag. The most Players do not even block because it is useless. In my opinion there should be a Balance.

If you ask me, one server should be regular siege, and the other one could be conquest.
Conquest is really nice, but the amount of time you have low multi is too large. Today I was lucky I had x5 for 3 rounds of conquest, made like shitload of xp.... but if your on x1 or x2 it just seems pointless xp wise..
Anyways, could it be possible to cut the total playtime per round down to 18 min? maybe remove some of the flags? I dunno... lol

The only thing I can make out from this post, is that he thinks conquest maps should come up less, his listed reasons I am unable to decipher. Someone care to explain what "Conquest maps are just a bunch of Players who want to capture 1 flag" and "The most Players do not even block because it is useless" mean?
Personally, I'd be fine replacing both siege and battle with conquest (although with a few minor tweaks.) 8-)

x2 then.... make it x3 if you want people to play deathmatch for 30 min :lol:

Fips said there are currently around 11 conquest maps if i remembered correctly. Conquest is awesome, do you know not all conquest maps have a time limit of 30, only those large maps like Helms Deep have 30 min for each round. There are conquest maps which have a 6 minute round time. Fips should make more conquest maps in my opinion (I hope he turn all siege maps into conquest), the interface of the siege system/ spawn very cool and definitely required proper teamwork to achieve victory

The average multi for battle (which is higher than siege) is probably around 2.3. That being the case, x3 minimum would have a huge impact on the marketplace and subsequently item balance. Can't really do that.

I feel the timer is still too long. If I lose the 1st round I play on a conquest map, I potentially have to wait 30 mins for a multi. Where as if I go to battle I can earn a x5 in 20 mins or less.
Can we just remove Helms Deep since it's a crappy map and we aren't 12 year olds who dress up like Legolas. LoTR maps make my eyes bleed.
Tydeus OP is talking about the fact that many players don't know how conquest works and just go for "main" flag. Also, people block less in siege...idk?

even I, the one who went only on eu 2 for 2 yrs straight, never on eu 1, go to eu 1 more often now because of the conquest game mode, everytime i join, or play there, conquest mode is on :|
i dont dislike it, but i prefer the normal siege, with 1 flag. 2hers and lvl whores rule the world there, and im ofc unable to get valor with the gear i have/build/time.
1 conquest map, 3 normal siege maps, then 1 conquest map again.

There will definitely never be a dedicated conquest server. Maybe someday EU/NA2 will turn into conquest only, but that most likely won't happen because i'm lazy. What definitely will happen are more battle-ish conquest maps where shieldwalls and cavcharges will play a much bigger role.
And the ratio of conquest:siege is already around 1:5

It finally seems to be quite balanced with both teams having a chance to win. Played with some clan mates yesterday on that harbor map and it was tons of fun trying pushing that first flag and after that just rolling to the last one with one continuous push. The next round we got our arses handed to us by the attackers with just two minutes or something on the clock and I really enjoyed it. It promotes teamwork and I'm all for that.
People are getting the hang of the game mode and I'm sure it'll only get better in the future. Can't wait for the maps you guys come up with with more space for ca-val-ree. Maybe we could even have some maps where building a siege tower would be worth it and not get me kicked out every time, for "spawning without a weapon" :lol:
I blame Fips for one of the best things to happen to this mod in the last few months. Great job mate!
