Title: Another -Heraldic Flag- Usable Item Thread

This has gotta be the third or fourth or even fifth of these threads, and I wasn't about to necro the other ones. This is a good idea. Other mods see this is a good idea. Even game developers think this is a good idea. One of the guys up there even made a heraldic horse, previously thought impossible and ignored like Heraldic flags. We got heraldic armor. We got heraldic helms. We got a standardized banner system. Believe it or not, we also have lederhosen.


So why has this been overlooked?

And here is an apparent thread on adding Heraldic value to items! Funny thing, that this existed.

You could always just put together 4 simple ones with colors [blue, red, white, green] to please the majority.

More like over 9000th time. Same issue as with capes, they don't flap around properly, look bad and I don't want a penis banner on a lance to be couching in my general direction. If you had read any of the other threads, it would have become clear...

I read many of the threads. There was no clear cut answer and no real developer input in those. Did you bother to read them? You haven't added a damn thing.

That said, no they aren't going to flap around. That's not even worth b!tching about. They don't look bad, I am sure many clans would love to have their symbol on a carry banner, but you didn't consider them, did you?

No, you didn't. As for the penis invariably couching in your direction, penis banners are not allowed. The fuzz even took away the tuxedo banner, if I understand correctly, and there was nothing wrong with that.

Napoleonic wars has them and they are damn cool. Full invasion 2 has them, and it just looks amazing charging into the enemy onslaught with your banner. It speaks to the human ideal of heroism.

Of course, you wouldn't know anything about that, now take your attitude and get the hell out of here.

They definitely look dumb.

Cool concept, doesn't work with warband without proper support from WSE (which can actually provide the swaying effect).

I'm always one for seeing more content added, so I like the idea, even though it's going to be shot down inevitably every time someone brings it up.

I personally like the heavy lance banners, and if I didn't have to re-install finalboss-warham all the time I would still be using it.

Flags though, they would be cool as maybe equipment that can only be used in strategus. In pub servers it would still be cool, it's just too abuse-able. People would spam flags all over, or leachers would use them as excuses to charge head first into a fight.

If this was introduced ever, troll and joke banners would have to be removed far earlier. Then there shouldn't be any unicorns or penis on a banner.. but real medieval banners

There's a unicorn as a default native banner, what's your point? Ban anyone who uses a native banner?
