"That peasant's a spy!"
Many games have worked in a backstab feature, where a player is instantly killed.
I'm not suggesting an instant-kill weapon, because it would fit the pacing of warband and c-rpg, but a high pierce damage 1h dagger that cannot be used with a shield could introduce a new style of play.
Here is something along the lines I am thinking of
Type: 1h
Length: 47
Speed: 96
Swing Damage: 22c
Thrust: 48p
Cannot be used with shield
Cannot block
Slots: 1
Requirements: Not important at the moment
A player who uses this would have to be an exceptional chamber blocker and would have to sneak up on an opponent to get it used properly. This weapon could introduce an entire new class to the game.
I know 48p is high, but here are some arguments on why it would be balanced
1: Other weapons do as high as 43b un-heirloomed. 48p would not carry the same desirable knock-down effects
2: No crush through. The weapon can be blocked
3: No shield, and no blocking, making this weapon undesirable for a primary weapon
4: Length is shorter than hammers in the game
5: It takes a weapon slot
Don't burn me alive if you don't agree, but I think it would be a very cool weapon.
P.s. My main character is a polearm character, so don't go screaming bias

I think not.
Currently people do exactly what you want, they just cock back their right swing and walk into a duel and end it quickly.
-
This would be a horrible dueling weapon though. Duelers want a weapon with speed and length, and 4 viable attack directions.
-
I think no one would enjoy dueling with unblockable,40cm dagger.
I support the idea but 48p is way too much imho.Imagine a guy with 10 ps uses it to a guy in black armour and 1 hits him with a shitty dagger . I would lol too much.
-
I am against this. It doesn't make much sense. If at all, increase damage from behind for ALL weapons.
-
I dunno, if u slash the guy's head form behind his dead in one shot anyway, if not hes dead in 2, max 3. Attacking form behind is lethal anyway with any weapon, I would only imagine more ways to exploit its 48 p + if there was a tincan I imagine everyone drawing out those dagger and trying to stab poor tincan (and would u thought that they used to be masters of the field!)

"That peasant's a spy!"
That sums it up.
No ty just not good.

i say yes for the altair weapon
-
i already have a thread for a dagger that follows this same concept.
However, backstab feature isn't possible yet and would probably be buggy because lolhitboxes.
except i put it for 33 pierce since it shouldn't be too ridiculous. damage is up for debate

I like this idea very much, 40p should be enough since you can't block and with a small dagger you can easily hit vital spots ^^'.
And increase the speed aswell to like 105 or something like the longdagger.

Well the idea is that we don't want the dagger to be an ideal fighting weapon. The more you increase the speed, the more it becomes appealing to spammers.
Don't get caught up on the exact damage of the dagger. The idea is that the damage should be high... much higher than other 1h and perhaps slightly higher than 2h and polearms. The only point of the weapon is to use it on an unsuspecting victim, but if they catch you, you're in a lot of trouble.
