Well, at least it was a bit adjusted. I used to love switching targets with overheads, but now most of the people can move around me faster than I turn around, wich is kinda stupid if you ask me. On the other hand, cRPG with its builds and some of the weapons exposed all the flaws of the Warband game mechanics. I kinda get used to it, but it doesn't mean that I woouldn't mind reverting it, but I am not sure if I want to watch jumping mokeys with longspear again. Game is broken, and that is it I guess. Move on.

It means that you can't cancel animation of your attack after some point. Nothing more, nothing less. I do see any connection with turn rate.

Best thing that could happen to the mod atm, would be.

1. Turn rate nerf reverted.

2. Right swing speed buff on all weapons.

Faster right swing? Why do you deem it necessary?

Faster right swing? Why do you deem it necessary?

Do you even play melee?

I find it necessary cause everyone and their mothers open attacks with stab stab stab stab.......

You see your opponent go for a right swing u stab, insta win.

Right swing is obsolete atm.

Hey I just asked for your reasoning. I was trying to understand the reasons behind it. Not that I was being sarcastic or something.

And if you really want to know, yes I play melee. I always fought in melee in my every character; whenever the situation demanded it, including 3 ps, 0 ath archer.

Instead of making 2 powerful attacks, why not make thrust weaker a bit again so we have 4 equally balanced attacking directions?

Not gonna happen.

Why?  Think about p. e.  of 2d polearms.

They were less of a problem before the turn-rate change because stabs didn't reach sweet-spot as fast, nor kept it as long. I know I preferred curved stabs over instant stabs. :P

Well, for immersion freaks like me, with the old turn rate was something so natural and easy, that it was at the same time extremely unfair to the rest. On battle you could see that sort of play style when chase used the awlpike.

I'm so used and adapted to this turn rate by now anyway, it doesn't feel that bad anymore, as it was the first days after the nerf.

The turn nerf came with a few other things too. It used to be easier to stab up close while looking at your target (dragging to the side is a bit easier than aiming up and down imo). Now you need a bit more distance to hit things next to you. 180 stabs were easier too

I dunno if I would change it back now. I liked how fluid it was before and responsive, but it is also a bit harder now which is also good. If possible I'd have stabbing from the side rather than aiming up and down but keep the turn speed nerf and distance needed from the target. I don't know why you have to aim up now rather than to the side

This, so much. Honestly the changed sweet spots are my biggest gripe with post-turn rate game. Stabs made sense and were predictable pre turn-rate. I get that stabs needed to be easier to hit as we went from 14 default turn rate to 7 with the first patch, but now 1h is back to like 10-12 and many weapons are at 8-9 ish, so perhaps the old sweetspots are even doable with the turn rate nerf.

My favoured thing would be to go to old sweetspots and give every weapon like a 25% turn rate increase. I just want the consistent old stabs back, where you can chamber purely based on timing because regardless of how you wiggle it, you won't do a way too early or a way too late hit.

I don't know why you have to aim up now rather than to the side
Simple, because only horizontal turn-rate got nerfed in the patch, vertical turning is completely untouched, which means that the old principle of missing your target and dragging back into him to get closer to the sweetspot at close reach still works as long as you use vertical turning.
