Is there any? Can you be smart asshole?
I don't consider myself an asshole but do feel incredibly stupid. Teach me how to become smart, calculated asshole.
Do you hate only stupid assholes or assholes of any kind?
Does being successful asshole makes you desirable among humans?
Please, feel free to discuss this topic.
-
I feel like most genuine assholes have a smart wit about them.
-
Anyone smarter than me is an asshole.
-
Hey, that's just uncalled for, Tydeus. I don't go around insulting you.
-
being a smart ass is like being a smart asshole. 8-)
-
I've decided. From this moment of my cRPG life I want to surpass kinngrimm. Is it possible? Will my effort bear a fruit?
-
If you want to be a smartass asshole, just follow Molly, best example at c-rpg.
-
And if you aim for the real challenge, try being as much of an dumb asshole as Panos is... Compared to Panos, aiming for Kinngrimm is pretty low. :)

oh, thats so sweet , thanks you.

Smart assholes are the worst.
-
first I like them when they are far away from me, the other I like them lubricated
-
I think I m asshole but smartest one in Crpg...
-
Or be an asshole like me. Try being nice but insult every now and then by saying the truth. You can still swear irl.
-
you can be dumb but still wise :)
-
Since getting actually smarter is going to be tough for you, I suggest you set your goal on only appearing smart. Learn to pretend by watching xant.
-
Being smart is when you stop doing stupid things, right?
Well, trolling I can't give up. It's too much fun. But the rest: rage quitting, giving away looms, retiring lvl 35 char, getting angry at developers, desperately trying to be friends with the likes of Panos and Zlisch... think I'll manage to avoid doing that from now on.
-
thanks leshma!
Merry xmas to you and your family!

No, you stop being stupid when you stop doing stupid things. To be smart you have to do smart things.
-
What an educative thread.
-
No, you stop being stupid when you stop doing stupid things. To be smart you have to do smart things.
You don't stop being stupid when you stop doing stupid things.
It in fact is very stupid to do nothing to avoid doing stupid things.
If you stop doing stupid things it only becomes harder for you invironment to tell whether you are stupid or not.

Not if your enviroment is crpg community, they'll tell you that you're a dumb asshole my old friend regardless.

That is a complete non sequitur. Nobody said you should "do nothing."

this can't be a non sequitur because it was not meant to be a conclusion but an example.
But nice how you always try to degrade any given statement by refering to its logical grammar instead of refering to the thought behind it.

How does it work as an example when it is a non sequitur of what I said? I said you stop being stupid when you stop doing stupid things. Not that you should do nothing, in fear of doing something stupid.

OK
I say: not being stupid =/=not doing stupid things.
premises: a) being stupid =not avoiding being hurt.
b) doing nothing = not doing stupid things.
case : A hammer falls towards somebodies head. he could easy avoid it.
in this case not doing stupid things(doing nothing (b)) = being stupid(not avoiding being hurt(a))
therefore you sentence 'you stop being stupid when you stop doing stupid things' is wrong.
-
That's retarded. Unless you think doing nothing when a hammer is falling on you is smart, it's stupid. Therefore, your whole chain of logic is invalid.

Whahahaha
read again
even one of my premisses says: not avoiding pain is stupid.
Just stop playing the smartass if you have no clue.
-
slow sigh
Yes, exactly, not avoiding pain is stupid. That is my whole point. Again, therefore, your chain of logic is invalid.

OK again for you very slow:
You are agree with me saying ' not avoiding pain is stupid. :arrow:A) being stupid= not avoiding pain
IN the case a hammer falls towards someones face you agree doing nothing is stupid(because of A not avoiduing pain). :arrow:B) doing nothing= being stupid
and if you do nothing you can't do stupid things. :arrow:C: doing nothing =not doing stupid things
if you agree with these three sentences I can conclude:
B: being stupid=doing nothing
C: doing nothing=not doing stupid things
being stupid=not doing stupid things.
this conclusion contradicts you sentence "you stop being stupid when you stop doing stupid things."
or the other way around.
Your sentence "you stop being stupid when you stop doing stupid things."
can be shortened to:A) not being stupid= not doing stupid things.
if you agree that you can't do stupid things when you do nothing I can say
B) doing nothing= not doing stupid things
If I combine A and B I get C) not being stupid = doing nothing.
If we use the case with the falling hammer we can build
D) doing nothing = not avoiding pain.
combine C and d we would get the conclusion
C not being stupid = doing nothing
D doing nothing= not avoiding pain
not being stupid= not avoiding pain.
And you already stated that this conclusion is not true. so your sentence which leads to this conclusion is not true.
-
Humans are never doing "nothing" in the abstract sense. If you're standing still when a hammer is falling on you, you are standing still, not "doing nothing." Standing still when a hammer is falling on you is stupid. Therefore, it's doing something stupid. Therefore, since you are doing something stupid, you have not "stopped doing stupid things."
So what I said is correct.
-
Sorry but doing nothing will never be the same than doing something.
You have to rethink your logic.
Is it really that hard to give in when you are proven wrong.
-
Yes, very good, that's exactly what I said. Humans are never doing nothing. They never exist in a void. They are always doing something. When we say somebody is doing nothing, we are speaking in a figurative sense.
And no, it isn't hard to give in when I am proven wrong. But I've not been proven wrong. Even this conversation is you going full retard over semantics, but that's fine with me, because I'll still out-logic you.

Utrakil, victim number _?

I allway try not to get trapped. but he always gets me with his pseudo logic.
And Xant...
when you claim that doing nothing = doing something
you indirect claim nothing = something.
I like that. that shows a great understanding of language anf logic.
I think I have to give in at that point.
-

You're actually a victim because my logic crushed you and stepped on the still breathing, dying corpse of your pseudo logic, raising its head in a triumphant roar of victory.
The scene looks something like this, the fresh corpses of my enemies still underneath me, while the androgynous Leshma clings onto my muscular leg.

Apparently you don't understand what "figurative" means. But I accept your surrender.

No you can't, Sniger.

Seriously leshma stop making this dumb threads you arsehole.
