Title: Ridiculous Ways to Die
Post by: Elmetiacos on July 22, 2013, 10:22:53 pm: So far I've had these, both in DTV games which I play a lot:
1. A vitez is standing beside me about to make an attack - before he can I swing and kill him... but then just a fraction before my animation completes, I get teamhit. This means my attack never happened, and the vitez has killed me instead.
2. Myself and an ally are attacking a Sexy, the ally goes slightly before me. I accidentally chamber block his attack and save the Sexy which then kills me.

Now that you mention it there are those very rare occasions when people detonate into the ground when walking down a steep hill. I crack up so hard every time I see it and people are always "WTF WAS THAT SHIT ????" afterwards. Truly the most ridiculous death possible.

- Getting lanced in the back while crossing an open field.
- Getting shot in the open.
- Being bumped to death because you have your bow drawn and can't jump
- Dying together with your seven infantry mates to a single horse crossbowman at the end of the round because MOTF doesn't show up.
- Dying upon spawning by spawnraping cav, because you happen to not have a fast machine
- Desperately charging up a hill full of archers in the try of having fun and hoping the best instead of hiding behind a rock and waiting for MOTF for ages
- Being outrun by a tincan although you have lighter armour and more ATH, because a few sticks slow you down
- Trying to take on several enemies at once and dying in that process.

or trying to jump somewhere for a suprise attack only to surf on the enemies heads. down a bunch of stairs, then fallinh to your death looking like a moron.

Always sucks when you are the last person alive on defense, your whole team is watching you... enemy on the flag... yeah, you get the picture.

I think I have experienced pretty much everything else so far, falling in differenty ways, being shot by all projectile weapons in every part of the body, being bumped, couched, whatever...

Being blasted off my horse only to have me horse stampede the guy that killed me to death straight after, nothing beats watching Nibles kill some shmo in vengeance "NAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Jump a gorge and the horse got poked which killed it and then I slid through the air and completed the stand up animation ala loony toons and then fell to my death.

Also I once got bumped to death by riderless horse at the end of strat battle when only 1 or 2 enemies were left alive, when I was looting some stuff from the ground.

Same with couching someone or thrusting lance into a thrower or archer (killing them) right before they kill me with the projectile that's in the air.

And Frank that's happened to me on the map where there's the "sacrifice" pit, I was attempting to jump into it, someone shot and killed my horse mid-air, my guy stops in mid-air for about 1 full second, does the stand up animation from being knocked down, and then starts falling down again. It's one of the best things to see in game.

I give him a nice straigth punch in his face with 1 ps and mail gauntlets and i killed him.

Death from unarmed archer rulez ^^

That shielder had no head armor

Post by: Vodner on July 24, 2013, 05:25:12 am: Fired a 1 wpf crossbow across the map at an enemy cav player around 15 seconds after the round started. Missed and ended up scoring a lethal headshot on some poor sap who wasn't even close to where I was aiming. It's the epitome of a random kill.

Flamberge is best for that, always a big lol

One of my funniest self owns, is fighting alone vs several enemy on a castle wall, and I do a super dodge to evade all their blows which sends me between two crenellations and to my death below. Sometimes ive survived and had to run all the way back round the walls and up a ladder/siege tower to get back to the fight...
