However, the newest items you have done (spath(s), paramerion) look pretty similar. One of the things I really loved about the heirloom pack is that not all weapons looked the same when loomed and I think this should be expanded on, even more so than finalboss did.

It seems I get an error when installing, I run the exe and it says CRPGSubModsInstaller has stopped working I went to the right directory, any ideas as to what the problem could be?

That didn't seem to work either, maybe I could just manually install it? I know would replace (or do I merge...?) the textures and resources folders with that in the "Copy" folder, but what do I do with the mod.xml?

If you ever do make it to armors, when you do the felt cap; could you have the Reinforced version have a feather in it. That way everyone would look like a pimp, and waste 3 looms just to have a Medieval pimp hat.
Well if you are using steam you have to redirect the download to steam - steamapps - common - mountblade warband - modules - crpg. If you aren't using steam i'm not sure what the problem is because I didn't buy the game from taleworlds.
After the latest patch and reinstall of the heirloom pack I got a missing arbalest texture.
Any way to fix this?

Would be pretty great to see a trimmed version of this - with some of the too extravagant weapon skins removed - included in the main cRPG file, as it fixes some of the more bland vanilla textures.

No I don't actually, that might be the problem if you guys do use it.
Excluding the crossbows is fairly easy though, just go into the notepad file that says "mod". Then just find the crossbow section and delete all the lines pertaining to crossbows. Once you have deleted all of them then just run the heirloom installer.
You will probably have to repair your game first then use the installer after you have changed the mod.txt. If you have trouble I can do it for you.

I stopped using this mod when the Shaska was switched out for the Paramerion. Is this mod updated for that now?

See the problem with trying to do armors is that you might ruin the look of some person's favorite armor.

I'm trying to add an heirloom helmet whilst knowing literally nothing about how openbrf works and how to do the heirloomed items thing

As you can see, something went horribly wrong. What happened, I know not, but it took me 3 days just to get this far and I refuse to give up because I am so close to being done. If anyone knows how to fix this, please help :(
The broken helmet is basically the mesh of the helmet, but completely untextured for some reason, with a copy of the textured, correctly modeled helmet floating over your head with no animation; i.e it's a helmet that just follows your head but doesn't bob, bounce, etc. as if it were connected to your hitbox

I also made a modification to the mod.xml file in the heirloom pack Mods folder (this was to separate the unloomed model of the hat with the loomed model of the hat). I added a single entry under replace_models that would replace itm_imodbits_lordly_chapel_de_fer_mail1 with chapel-de-fer_mail1_h4 (chapel-de-fer_mail1_h4 being the name of +3 hat in the resource brf i added).
I would try to fix it, but throughout this entire project I've relied on intuition and luck to get me through, and it seems for the last step I will not be able to use either of these so... I'm stumped :cry:
EDIT:Ok, I fixed the double helmet thing, the problem was that I had 2 copies of the helmet in 2 separate .brf folders, and one of them was not animated

ShiftKnife doesn't like the Heirloom Pack so he basically just wants the Heirloom Pack with no changed textures. Is it possible to do this without spending more blood sweat and tears replacing every single item mesh in the game with the original meshes, and then replacing all their textures with the original textures?? As in, with code? Because I don't know anything about coding

I'm working on a fix, but I can't figure it out still because I don't have the problem. Try deleting everything delete Mount and Blade Warband completely. Not from steam but your files then try to download it again. Sorry for right now that's all I got.

My module.ini file is fine. At the top is says module_name = cRPG with nothing in the way : (

It still gives you retextures for basic weaponry, but needs to be updated to cover new items.

Yeah I kinda don't have any motivation to do any texturing work anymore, it's been awhile and when I tried to it was hard because I forgot what my procedure was.... :(
But I could find time I guesssssss... things on my todo list so far are these weapons : 4 textures each for long voulge, crusader sword, estoc, and flambard.
If you have limited time, you could probably just skip +1, +2, and damaged stuff and just make a +3 version of each of those (90%+ of people with this texture pack are using +3 weapons).
Put up some "stones for 10k-50k" offers on marketplace, I'll help you out and I'm sure others will chip in too. My only request is that the +3 Crusader Sword's scabbard stays black/silver and that you include some cool crusader symbols :)

Looks awesome! The "crusader symbol" idea was probably bad anyway, since most of their historical iconography later got requisitioned by hate groups. Gold is a bit "flashy", but I suppose I could always edit the item_kinds.txt file to make my +3 show the +2 texture (if I knew how to do that). Gold is probably more historically accurate though.
I bought some stones to show my support, I hope others contribute as well.
I can easily make a special one for you when I release it. I'll PM you when I do.

I want to retexture Barbed Arrows +3 or Bodkin Arrows +3, because they are hardly distinguishable from each other. I think most of the heirloom pack users would agree that a new feather color for one of them would help to tell them apart and be useful overall. Do you agree, and would you support my idea and add my retextured version if it looks nice enough?

I get an access violation after clicking "Play cRPG" in the main menu. Coincidentally there is a "map data" screen with background artwork between the main menu screen and the server list screen that I never knew existed before this error.
If I update the last version (v2 4-28-14) of finalboss' mod.xml with your new lines as well as copying over the new 2H brf and install that way it works fine. Did you make changes to the install.exe?
I didn't change the install.exe. The way I updated the pack is the way you copied the files. I just overwrote the old 2h brf and added a few new lines of code into the xml file. I'm not sure what your problem is, then again i'm not that tech savvy.

Open the Heirloom models file, keep going until you get to a point where there is a "copy" file and a mod.xml
Open the mod.xml, I use notepad for this
Then delete all the lines that are not bows and arrows, e.g. <replace_model item_id="itm_dagger_swup" model_id="long_dagger_h1" model_id2="long_dagger_scabbard_h1"/>

It's not hard to figure out which ones have been done. Here is a list of weapons not modified as of August, 2015...Just know that every weapon except for these and any new ones added since then, are modified. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. It's quite an undertaking though, especially if you're like me who has no texturing, modelling, or coding experience at all and had to jury rig and improvise as I went lol (Don't even get me started on getting scabbard to work correctly in openBRF *shivers*). Sadly, my interest has died out in this mini mod for this amazing crpg mod. Maybe someday the fire might be relit..... maybe... :cry:(click to show/hide)
