BRD/FCC will be sponsoring a Karaoke Contest!

What: Karaoke!!!
When: Saturday, April 28th at 9:00 EST, 8:00 CST
Where: BRD/FCC TeamSpeak -- voice.freecompanies.net

We will be getting everyone together to hang out, listen to anyone sing whatever, with or without lyrics/music accompaniment and have a great time. You don’t have to sing but heavy LULZ are guaranteed. BYOB! There will be prizes in cRPG gold for Top and Crap Performers.

Guess you guys don't get to hear my sexy rendition of the Eagles 'Take It Easy'

And not saying that I agree with the "imperial" system for units of measurement (time/dates or distances) but I think I can explain the logic behind the US date format.

I believe everyone knows what year it is, so when we do dates, we typically just do the month and the day (4/28 = April 28th), it only starts to get tricky when you throw in the year at the end.  Shouldn't be too hard to decipher though I'd imagine.

The good keyboard is with another family member right now and probably won't be moved to my computer before karaoke starts.  If I'm able to attend I can still play on an old synthesizer that my brother keeps around, if that's okay.

Also, I'm flattered you remembered.  Normally, people don't care for listening to me play.  If I'm not able to make it with the good keyboard I might do a post-karaoke recording, if you'd like that.

You're way too hard on yourself.  You are likely singing into a headset in an untreated boxy room.  Your signal chain is probably under $10 (onboard sound from motherboard).  It's a public performance and the recording you have is post digital compression and transmitted streaming over the internet with voip.

It's like expecting to get a 5:1 KD at level 5 with peasant gear.  If you really want to pursue singing there are a shitload of things you need to consider before judging yourself.

Speaking of judging yourself, my Greenday is way better than my Gnarls Barkley.

I have written three new songs about cRPG (yes, one of them is a new song about how much of a my old friend Kesh is). If we don't have another one of these soon I am going to just have to start independently releasing my songs.

I might go record the next song in my series about how Kesh is gay on a grand piano at my college. I just like the idea of that. A multi-thousand dollar piano being used to sing a song about how gay Kesh is.

I think it's really just what he deserves. Any lesser piano would not be able to bring his bundle of sticksry to live vividly enough.
