I support this stab at the ridiculous America-centrism displayed by Miley.

I can already feel the sparks in the air, let me grab my popcorn

Geez, mentioning a tragic event in the US is america-centrism now ?

Poor Syria, Afghanisgtan, South-Corea, ......... the list of guys who are suffering in this fucking world is so long .
-
I blame North Korea.
Seriously though wtf is wrong with people. Fucked up. Congragulations you killed an 8 year old child.
-
isn't general discussion forum only related to "Nerf something" ?
anyway seriously stop this shit , some people died there and thousands of other people dying in this moment ; the reason why the Boston madness is because it's more spectacular and the "Killer/s" wants exactly this type of things , involving media , internet and other channels , that's why is called terrorism.
on top of that i just saw an "Harlem Shake Boston" youtube video , what's wrong with people today..

Making a thread about it in General Discussion without any content, implying it is a matter of world importance and we should all be sad and shocked, yes. Does Alphen aan den Rijn mean anything to you?
-
to google
-
We just need to take out that General Tso guy and move along.
-
Does Alphen aan den Rijn mean anything to you?
seems like Columbine massacre , with the difference it was in a shopping mall and i never heard of this.

Cool picture.
Point is, kindness and humanity should not be reserved for Americans exclusively, eh?
But you're not wrong, it has no place around here anyway. Think of the calibre of person you're dealing with. Video game addicted losers and cunty children. Not exactly a bastion of good vibes.

What we need is better bomb control laws, obviously.
-
Yeah, I'm not sure why hairspray and lighters haven't been outlawed yet.
-
two cars crashed near my flat yesterday, I watched as the ambulance came, they took the man out of the car, I THINK I SAW A FEW DROPS OF BLOOD FROM HIS NOSE
-
i find it disturbing that bombs happens every day other places in the world, but when US take one or two its all of a sudden a tragedy and we should all pray for the poor americans. wtf? yes i know it doesnt happen every day in the US. but still... think about it.

Exactly, and just because Boston is in America does not make that event any more tragic or shocking than what happened in Alphen aan de Rijn, the difference lies in America-centrism.
-
Yeah it's splashed all over the 'UK' section of BBC news website, mostly because they are concerned about the London marathon but still...
-
Oh, just noticed this whole Boston thing now.
Wasn't that hard, it's everywhere.
The thing is, why bomb a goddamn marathon? If you really want to bomb something, blow up some politicians, powermongers, etc.
I'd even pop a champagne for whoever does that.
Dumbasses and their bombing targets..
And I'm not gonna start talking about Americans and their double standard.. there is no point really. It's just there.

True, the thread clearly lacked susbstance or any kind of explanation. Does Saint-Lambert Square or Nordine Amrani mean anything to you (it doesn't really to me either) ? Yet if I had created the same thread about it in general discussion nobody would start whining about belgium-centrism or europe-centrism.

Look its a good chance to bash all of america...
(i personally blame the media, more importantly the people who own them)

If only we were able to put more bombs in law abiding citizen's hands, maybe someone would have been able to prevent this.
Or maybe if we take away some more freedoms, and spy on more American's, we can finally be safe in this country.
/sarcasm off mode: Seriously though, if our government wasn't run by and for corporations, we wouldn't have so many problems in this country. /sarcasm: But I can't be arsed to actually vote for a better politicians or stay informed of what's going on, American Idle (sic) is back on.
SixThumbs, you actually think comparing someone making a bomb, with someone making their own firearm, is an apt analogy? Criminals aren't out there making and building their own firearms, they have to get them from some source. Gun control laws would help cut the loopholes that are enabling felons to obtain weapons. I can (and do) go to many gun shows, and I can walk in and buy a firearm from a private citizen without any paperwork or background check. We have vehicle regulations and licenses to drive, but why not the same with firearms? Vehicles are deadly, but they are designed as transportation. Firearms are deadly, and that is their designated purpose. Asking people to become licensed to use a firearm isn't unreasonable, nor is keeping a record of who owns what firearms (so when one turns up in a crime, we know who it came from originally).
People will always go faster than the speed limit, does that mean that we should just remove them altogether? People will always commit assaults, should we just stop enforcing those laws, or trying to prevent them from happening?

how did they get 2 six liter pressure cookers filled with metal shrapnel into the area unnoticed?
-
Hero syndrome.

The only people to be blamed for America-centrism would be people like you. It's not like we're the little kid crying for attention, and even if we are, you're the one giving it to us. (Have battle, will edit post later.)
-
You would think by now the American government would stop giving Visas to Saudis.
-
whatever, we have a mass shooting like every other month these days.
this time it was a bomb, so people are looking to foreign terrorists.
could be another McVeigh or Kaczynski though.

Not really. I mean, whoever the terrorist was probably had it in his mind to just set an example. Personally I feel that if a true terrorist would make a move like this, then the scale of the catastrophe would be much larger. Not saying the Boston bombing was some small deal, but it could have been much larger. All kinds of shit have gone through on who it could be, white supremacy groups, foreign terrorist, somebody being a prick. Never know though.

maybe some fatty hates runners and wants to teach them a lesson.
