Title: 1 Slot Long Spiked Club and Plated Long Mace/Star? integration

As the title suggests; I propose the idea of making the Long Spiked Club 1 slot.
To be honest, in my opinion the Quarter Staff is better but I would very much like 1 slot weapon that I can roleplay with which doesn't hit with the force of a feather.
I don't see anyone use it and the slot change would not make it overpowered in any way whatsoever; it is still arguably inferior to the quarter staff; I wish it to be 1 slot only so I can roleplay with it.
I would like it to be 1 slot because I am a thrower and I cannot afford to only take 2 bags of Throwing Spears into battle.

Also, I believe there is room and perhaps a need for a high tier variant of this weapon.
I propose: Plated Long (Mace/Star?)
It would be a simple piece of dark wood with a plated end (or the entire thing could be plated with metal), similar to the hafted maces but with spikes coming off, similar to a morningstar and unlike the hafted spiked mace in that the spikes are uniform and less filthy. I will attempt to make a model for this in time, but it will look terrible if I do get around to making it (I have no experience whatsoever in making these things).
Not dissimilar to this, but perhaps with a thicker and more polearm befitting handle, obviously longer, smaller... nob which extends longer down the weapon with uniform spikes on it, like that of a morningstar.

I think a few of the polearms should become 1slotters, no weapon should be just outright crap in everyway. Some could have minor advantages as cheap slot fillers, and I see that in a lot of the polerarms.

Compared to the size of the weapon, it would be unrealistic.  I don't think it is a matter of balance in all honesty.

But Quarterstaff is perhaps bigger, all of the 1 slot 2h weapons (or 1h weapons which have a 2h mode) are hardly smaller. Noone uses the weapon, why not buff it? I for one would very much love to use it but cannot in it's current state; which is being inferior to a cheaper 1 slot item.

Long spiked club is quite big to be 1 slot, but it should be knockdown ( not only with the thrust )

I don't enjoy using 1h because I find the stab and overhead are weird to aim and 2h bores me, why must I be forced to do the same thing every gen? :(

I hope you mean that this is too weak; military sickle hurts more and is significantly faster, and being 2h the animations are quite a bit longer than that of polearm so it is inferior in almost every way.

Even with the unbalanced tag gone, its still inferior to the iron staff.  Iron staff is longer and can knockdown on any swing direction.  For a similar price, why would someone choose the club?

It doesn't really strike me as a 1 slot weapon though.

What you say is true, but how else to make such a cool looking weapon usable?

I'm always up for making more items 1 (or 0 if 1h) slots.

But also make more items 3 (or 2 if 1h) slots.

Keep it as 2 slots.

92 speed
125 length
28 pierce

No knockdown, no thrust.  looming gives speed, not weight.

Make it a lower tier version of the bec.

I don't know I can think of any uses for that.
I for one very much believe that there should be a high tier similar version, or at least this one should be plausible (1 slot could solve this).
But yes, looming should give speed not weight but I believe it should have knockdown on all swings in addition to the 1 slot change and obviously the integration of Plated Long Mace/Star. :)
