Title: Huscarl's Duel Tournament - Bracket is ready.

Info
-Tournament will start on 2nd April.
-Entrance fee will be 20k gold for each player.
-Prize for winner will be %50 , for 2nd %25, for 3rd %15 of collected gold.
-Taxes will not be paid by the organiser.Taxes will be taken from each prize.
-All of duels wont be in the same day.You will have 2 days to play duels.
-There will be referee for each match.They will watch the duels.They will reply the result to this topic, when the duel is finished.
-Alts allowed.
-STFs allowed.
-Maximum number of participants is 32.
-There will be no level limit.

Rules
-Except ranged weapons, theres no weapon restrictions.
-Horses are prohibited.
-Shields allowed.
-If someone doesnt play his duel in 2 days and his enemy will report him, he  will be disqualified.
-Body armor limits by 18 kg.Head, hand, leg armors no limits.
-Every players can be referee of every duels except duellers.
-Only referees can publish the result of the duel.
-All of duels must be played on the same server that we will set.
-Duels will be finished when one of dueller won 9 duels.
-You can not change your charecter that you will play with, after you applied.(you can respec)

WOW, way to be aggresive: I'm just trollin this troll thread: if you want, I will organise a tournament, its not like its taken him anything more than a few minutes to write a thread, and if I did it, I would not be doing it for personal gain: he is keeping 20% of the entrance fees for keeping a spreadsheet? You want to pay someone crpg gold to update a spreadsheet for you? FML, this community is FULL of people who would organise a tourney without keeping a large chunk of change...

EDIT: case in point, Osiris organises these all the time, except they are free to enter and often he gives away a +1 item to the winner. THATS how to organise a tournament, not a lame way to make free crpg gold.

While I understand the sentiment of taking a portion of the prize money, it just doesn't go really well with all the other voluntary stuff happening around here.

as some of you know, i also arranged a tournament and preparing atm the next one

i personaly:
- invested lots of hours for editing maps and testing
- invested gold for a promotion video
- did 2 awesome videos with Merc_Burrick
- poked chadz a lot of times to donate the tournament
- poked a lot of guys/clans to join
- oganised referees
- organied a server
- made promotion on the servers (char "Tuetens_Tournaments")
- thought about rules
- checked and posted and edited in an own thread
- made "QaA" 2times
- organised a banner slot for referees (sponsored by Torben)
- collected the money
- remembered the teams
- send a lot of pms
- and finally conducted the tournament
- postprocessing included afterwards


so its a lot of things to do if you want to make it properly and a lot of time is needed as well

in my opinion every organizer should decide for his own if he want to have money for doing that or not... i didnt ask for money for my first tournament, but i can also understand guys if they want to have a small amount (like around 2-3% of the whole money)...
well, in my opinion 125k is to much for oganisation and for sure its really to much if you not even pay the taxes anyway...dont get me wrong but tournaments should be done because you want to do it and you wanna see others smile and to gett a bit money out of it should be one of the last reasons...for sure you can deserve a bit gold for organisation but it should keep within reasonable bounds...

Assuming it's taken from native, there we play first to 9 and whoever gets first to 9 wins.

Ya i did the same for the internal templar dueling tournament. It leads to some intense dueling. From experience  id suggest no knockdown unless you want a ton of qstaff spam and/or barmace/goedendag

I think the no knockdown abuse rule works best, you can use knockdown weapons but if you hit on the ground you insta loose ^^

I think its a good idea to have single elimination system + high numbers of duels. I hope you have more than a dozen participants.


Dont hesitate to postpone more if it looks like you are lacking publicity and interest, I'm pretty sure with time we will hit at least 18 members.

as i said you have 3 days to your duel.Contact with your opponent, go to EU3 when bot of youre ready.Find a referee (maybe from server), post result here.If your enemy confirm the score, its okay, if he doesnt, we need to talk with your referee.Please post the referee with your score.
