Any word on what's going on? Should clans based out of Nditions be looking into other options?
-
I heard it was full of shit somewhere!
-
Nditions Teamspeak is down due to lack of payment :?
My apologies. And it is not quite clear yet what will happen.
Either it will be back in the next few days or a new TS Server will be set up, but most likely not as big as Nditions.
-
I would be up for a small monthly payment. Shouldn't it be possible for everyone nditions-related to chip in with an euro or so?
I was looking into options yesterday too. For a medium-sized server with about 60-80 slots the monthly payment would be around 14 euros for six months.
That was only a quick peek, mind you. I'm no TS-expert...
Maybe someone has any good insights?

Ah, thanks for the information. I'd be happy to donate a bit. Do you perhaps have a donation link I could share around?

Well since the owners might change it is not sure yet but we´ll inform everyone about who to give their money to in the future

Well, I'm not 100% confindent in saying this, but our Server Owner doesn't mind letting other clans use our TS. No Monthly fee, no fee period.(We get it for free because he uses a server that hosts stuff for his work so we got the space for TS).
He's Offered Hospitaller a spot if they wanted, So I'm fairly certain he wouldn't mind letting others come in. If you boys want I can get clear confirmation.
In case you were wondering, our ts address is: Memorialmark.com OR 173.254.41.101. Either one works. Come check it out if you want. We got 512 slots so not worried about the slots either :)

Now that's a shame, I liked having the Templars in our TS.
-
This is why I Like Free TS server. 12 bucks for 2 years for the domain name, and like 10 dollars a year for the server. All paid for because it's a business expense and the owner has extra room for a TS slot so people can hang and have fun.
(not sure of actual price as it's all paid for under company expense that HE owns)

Pfft, ditch the TS, get mumble instead.

Isn't Mumble shit?

Isn't Mumble shit?
If you mean "the shit", then yes.
It has the best quality, fastest transmit speed, cheapest servers, and best text-to-speech. The first two are the important ones for me and coincidentally, the ones that uninformed people generally say otherwise about. Mumble can be somewhat hard to set-up properly(you have to actually spend 2 minutes in setup), it's true, and if not configured properly you can get glitchy sound effects. There is a misconception where people believe their ping is the time it takes for them and their friends to hear what you say. That's the time it takes for their computers to receive the packets. Additional delays like encoding are done which cause others to hear what you say, significantly later than when their computer receives the packets. Ventrilo and TS consistently play sounds 300+ ms after you receive the packets, my mumble server is set up to only have a 10 ms delay. For gaming, the less delay you have, the better.

I have heard simular things, never used it though. Don't they also have the overlay or w/e ingame?
-
Yeah, mumble also has that feature, as well as other nifty things. If your game supports it, you can get positional sound based upon where people are located in game. So you can have mumble set up where you only hear the relevant things, based upon proximity in game.
-
As someone who's used mumble quite a bit for a different gaming community, it's easily the best VOIP out there.
That said it's just flat out easier to get everyone in teamspeak for a strat battle.

Yeah, I mean I have heard good things about it, but don't even have it installed on my computer because I don't know anyone that uses it.
-
Doesn't LL use it? dfc used mumble back in the day, originally hero party was also using my mumble server. I think there's one more group for na that use(d) it. But yeah, as Xol said, it's just easy to get everyone on the same voip and most people already have TS.

Donation incoming. God bless student loans UK.
-
Nditions down again, any news as of why and whats up with it?
-
Server is closed. It may come back in the future but for now it is gone.
-
GET THESE FUCKING TEMPLARS OUT OF OUR TEAMSPEAK.
I'm joking, I like the Templars.. besides most of them.
DOUBLE JOKE.
but seriously..
...get them out.
-
We're to sexy and it makes you upset, I understand.

Nordmen teamspeak has a lot of free slots. Everyone is welcome, we're a community. Just make sure to approach Cooties (Nessaj) regarding it first.

Inactive doesn't mean dead
-
How could Nordmen ever die, their gods protect them!
-
i thought nordmen died out?
Nordmen is a gaming community, not a cRPG clan.

i thought nordmen died out?
Like I said a week ago, we just distributed a small hunch of our active members across other clans in the community for spying, strategus wise we got something big coming up soon.
What Karasu said.

Excellent, now I will return to going AFK in the safety of my own channel rather than squatting with my fellow vagabonds in the halls of the FCC teamspeak.
You're safe FCC...
for now.
