Title: nerf kicks to native levels
Post by: Corsair831 on February 20, 2013, 12:54:22 pm
they're so ridiculous really, anyone here who's played some native knows how crazy crpg kicks are ...

they're about as difficult to hit as putting on a hat, can you plsx reduce them to native levels ... the only thing that needs reducing is the lingering kick, as in, in crpg the kick hitbox persists like 2x the length of the native kick, even with the same animation

 ... it's silly ...

Are you asking for a nerf or a buff?

NA will say nerf (havent been updated yet)

EU might say buff  (is a test server)

It should either you can block and not attack in time to catch the stunned opponent or you should not be able to block while kicking at all. Unfortunately they cant seem to do this and just find crude ways around it.

I'm fine with how it is, but the animation is deceiving. There were times where I was kicked when I swear that their leg was pulling back/in neutral position by then. From the kicker's perspective, sometimes kicks look as though they went through people sometimes (at least for a medium kicker like me).

I don't really like it, the kick has stupid reach atm.

I think as well the polearm animation should be changed considering it's hitting earlier than in the animation. Deceives your chambering.

I agree, pick one and make applicable to everyone. Even shielders.

Kick is somewhat jacked, most of time ill kick the air and hope a player lags into it. Either the ping or hitbox makes the timing near impossible to determine when kicking anything other than shielders.

Shielder kicks need more love as its an all risk no reward. Enemy players can block before the shielder can swing. Also, its their only defense against hilt slashers since the 1h will glance at such distances and angles.

Just jump over (or move away from) the fucking kicks and slash/stab the kicker now that kickblocking is removed, it's really not that fucking hard.

Kickblocking still exists in NA.

Yes, however the orginal poster is EU, and I think it's safe to say that the next patch won't be out before kickblocks and all the other shit are removed from NA as well anyway.

You can chamber-kick people who kick you, it's pretty easy tbh unless you are daydreaming or fighting on autopilot.

Yeah did it the other day in a duel, was pretty epic to see it happen

I think the extra long and turnable kicks is just compensation for not being able to block :D IMO reinstate blocking and lower the kicking window

Kicking range seems pretty ridiculously long now, it's perfectly fine in native, not too easy but still useful. I don't understand why they would get the idea to even consider buffing kicks out of all things?

What? I thought I was not a bad a player and I can chamber attacks pretty consistently but I find chamberkicks extremely difficult to pull off unless you are fighting a very predictable kickspammer. And I don't seem to be the only one as I never see it happen.

The kicks linger on a little too long in my opinion, you shouldn't get kicked when the leg is retracting, causes some very weird situations. As a kickspammer it happened to me loads of times that I wasn't able to do the free hit because the kick hit happened so late that I already thought it missed.

Uh, maybe it has something to do with you being unable to block whilst kicking with WSE2?

Now it's just the people that are still not using that and kickspamming that are the problem. Lamers.
