I sold you boys 800 bout 1.5 week ago. Same deal, same price.(I use standardized rates for the most part).
Also they paid for an NDA agreement. This contract is already done, but as per my policy I always post contracts.

You guys never asked. I only do this for fun not srsbzness. You always had the option to buy them. I don't pick the buyers, and the cost is 50g per naked troop. Everyone has money And I like the xp, so people should keep buying them. You wanna buy some too? come back in about 5 days and I'll sell you boys 700 troops!
I mean, I've always been here. Ask Kesh, or Shinock. I'm a reliable buisness partner(particularly talk to kesh. I've helped FCC out a ton).
Oh and before you think i JUST made this deal, this deal was made AWHILE ago and they JUST came to pick them up. Like i said, I'm a reliable business guy.

because I'm a business man, and I always post my contracts, regardless of their likelihood of hurting me.
Sure I could not have, but that's not what I say in my contract, the one that contains the DL merc thread (http://forum.meleegaming.com/diplomacy/dharan-legion-free-trade-zone-mercinary-armies/). Sure I might piss people off, but honestly, if VE bought my troops, then LCO would be mad. I piss off one side when I make a contract. So far everyone i've "Pissed off" has said, "Well Fuk, why didn't I think of that," and want to work with me in the future.
Honestly, yea, Sucks for VE, but I've always had my doors open for anyone. NH used me once, FCC used my services...4 times now, LCO their first time. I'm not a big player, but I sell stuff and like to make money doing things the way it SHOULD be done, MERC STYLE.
I know that eventually someone will not like a deal I make cause it doesn't go in their favor and attack me because of it. It's the nature of the business. But anyone who attacks me(and doesn't work something out) usually won't get my services again. Only FCC attacked me and we worked out the problem and we've been best business buddies for ever! Same with remnant right at strat start. Had a snafu and we fixed it so that there was no problems later.
I mean if I honestly hated you, would I ever sign up for your battles? Would I help? I'd always sign up on one side, but I don't. I sign up for whoever hires me and(If we win) pays me!
Also "everyone"? VE is quite big but there's Chaos next to me as well! I don't see how this affects dem? [/sarcasm]

Its not the fact that we didnt get to the troops first that bothers us, its the fact that anders just gave our enemies 2100 troops in the middle of our territory. That said, i personally dont really care much about it, its annoying but its part of his RP as a merc, cant really hold that against him. He probably should have picked a better location to do his merc thing though.

Honestly, I'd rather have a city than a castle(except for like a few select castles), cause cities work more for my open and Free Ideal.

Interesting Idea, except it doesn't work. Just cause a merc doesn't have land doesn't make him NOT a merc :rolleyes:

And it's true, there's many neutrals out there, I'm just...more...um...prevalent(?) since I'm the only one that maintains a castle.

The way I see it is that Anders is giving out contracts without publicly announcing beforehand that there will be bidding on troops (which would bring him a better price(which also makes him look like he is being one sided in the war))...He is just selling massive amounts of troops and saying sorry you missed it, not my fault...opps you can't attack me because somehow a fair trade.

I got paid for an NDA. In addition, I don't break contract. If I say X troops for X amount and everyone agrees. Deal's done and locked into stone. I haven't broken a single deal yet.
Which is why the post went up AFTER the fact cause I couldn't post beforehand about it.

Much respect to Anders, I had to suck at least 10 internet dicks to get what me and my clan have. It's a bit of work being a merc, keeping up with paperwork, especially in comparison to the other factions his size which tend to simply try and get and sell crates unnoticed and end up getting obliterated.

Paperwork....spreadsheets baby! I keep tons of running tallys and have all the awesome extensions to alleviate the paperwork.

Perhaps I might. I'm not much of a troop seller, I prefer REAL merc work, IE you pay me to attack someone, but "Slave trading" might not be so bad. Perhaps I should try open forums for it. More money IS a good thing.

Hes almost giving them away with what hes charging, or lack of charging. I'd much rather see him auction off completely geared out companies (100-500) or legions 1k+ of troops WITH HIS THEMED armor. Would help his brand alot more.
Either way, more fun having him around than just another clan.

No one wants to buy my gear too. It's not LOOMED so no one likes it. I was thinking about the auction thing and came up with a neat idea to sell my troops on a Public auction, silent bidder style. You send me bid and who ever has the highest at the end wins it. I like that idea, sounds more fun and I can make more money. Seems clans have more to spend too. 50g per troop was a lot when I came up with that figure, now...not so much.
Either way, more fun having him around than just another clan.
Thank you. I now have themed full heavy armor and medium(and light If i WANTED) armor sets. Quite nice to see it rolling around and killing things, though I fear Occitan has copied quite a bit of the gear. I had it first!

An idea that would go along with your public idea could be to post a trade 1 week before it is due to happen and then if anyone will do a better price they can bid it up or something?
I for one really like the idea of themed troops that you would sell. Even if the gear isn't totally loomed, people may still buy full armies (from an RP perspective that would be awesome).

This was Kinda my idea:
Something similar to that. I'd put the bidding up for 1.5 weeks with a minimum bid(the 50g per troop price maybe a bit cheaper). So what I would do would post troop amount and gear. You then send me a bid via PM. The Bid won't be posted so people have to guess what to pay. This way it's a gamble. Put down 500k and be only bidder or put down 50k and be one of many. You could change your bid during this time frame up until I close it(as It'd be via PM/other private methods, timestamps will show bid times). Highest bidder wins and gets announced(?)
The next way is to put max mid and change it, but that shows the bidders who's winning and with what amount and I'd like to make it fair game.(of course factions with more money have the advantage, but how many times?)
I actually within the next 5 days should have enough to do another decent size trade. Perhaps I'll put it into place then and see the response then?

Try out a public bidding where everyone knows the bids...that way people know you are playing fair and not deceiving them. Kinda like a public auction house.
