Title: some (now meaningless) patch statistics
Post by: Mala on January 06, 2011, 04:35:33 pm
Well then, i have collected some data.

(click to show/hide)

Out of 100 battles i was 54 times in the winning team.
My overall breaking chance was 57%, for a specific item ~12%, while the average round lasted 4 minutes (or better four xp/gold ticks).
So that means, in a worst case scenario i would be able to pay the upkeep for equipment worth of 8333 gold or if things are more balanced (50/50 win/loss without a winning or losing streak) for 12500 gold.

OMG something is wrong with chadz' Calculator! (And as we all know chadz IS also known as "The Great Calculator")

Which means something is wrong with chadz the Communist! (Or the Great Communist Calculator Silent God)

He promised us 20k! Where is the money chadz!?  :o :o :o :o

Interesting info.

I would like to ask complainers, what's wrong with 12500 gold? That's quite good armor/equip one can constantly have, even without saving.

Just shows that some won't be happy until they're able to afford tincan every single round.

I think the hotpatch today will reduce upkeep cost, increase upkeep chance, and you may need to pay repair regarless of which team won (I think that if your team wins and you don't die, nothing brakes, but I could be wrong)

He posted what he is doing in this board. (I think)

12k is nothing near enough to afford a horse. A bad horse + light armor and mid tear weapon (nvm a shield) costs more than that.

I wasn't even a tin can and that isn't nearly enough gold.
Mid tier armor sets run well over that and you need better than mid tier to effectlively lead charges
SO YAY POINTLESS STALEMATES

Well now you can't have a charger with plate and a nice bow the entire time.
That just shows patch works as intended.

Rouncey is 6550, so you can have that and medium armor and a weapon. A horse, any horse, right now is a huge bonus in cRPG, much more so than before when everyone was in plate. Rouncey and a light lance are 8550 - and with these two *alone* you can kill a lot if you're any decent at the game.

My Masterwork long espada eslavona cost me 4k+5k+10k+15k to get pre-patch and right now it's valued at 11.5k. If I use it, it will leave me with 1k gold for a shield (Tier 1, maybe tier 2) and no gold for armour.
Sounds reasonable and we all know 1h weapons are so OP their wielders need to run around unarmoured to balance it.

In all fairness you're using top 1H sword. If 1H swords are weak as you claim that should be balanced differently, across the board. But not being able to equip a top weapon in a category the entire time is OK.

new upkeep   almost as previous

chance at 4% instead 3 (+33%), upkeep from   20% to 5%(-75%), but you have it on losing and winning team (+100%) in total still 66% of what it was previously so upkeep still around 14%

Well, with a winning streak of at least 5 rounds you got over 20k.
But with the new system you should get easily over 25k.

Good for you, little one. I played like 100 rounds after the patch, and i was like 85 times in the losing team.

I got similar results. The break chance was not as said from 3% to 4%, much higher than this. Something must be changed.

On every thread you post, you are speaking about not wearing the best equipment "the entire time".

But honestly, what's the point of changing ? What's the point of using cheap equipment and die often then switching to good equipment for a few rounds, that won't garantee anything better for you ? That's just plain stupid.

And I'm not even arguing about the attractiveness of his heirloomed weapon. Complete crazy cost for a meagle speed and damage bonus.

Does anyone know if Halfsword mode on 2h swords uses Polearms wpf, or 2h wpf?

Only problem is that now you have no clue who's peasant and who's veteran wearing peasant clothes. You have to be very careful before you aproach someone because veterans are very good with pike and your lance ain't long enough

Cav awareness is higher than ever and there is much more people with pikes than it was pre patch. Arrows ain't issue anymore but throwers and xbowman can kill your rouncey very quicky which leaves you in your light/medium armor which isn't much protection especially if you're dismounted while roaming enemy territory. It was way easier playing cav before patch than it is now.

Naa, the breaking chance was 3% per minute for every item. So after 4 minutes you had a breaking chance of 12%.
