Title: Fief Inventory.
Post by: Andswaru on October 26, 2012, 09:47:02 am
If their is one improvement I would like to see happen this round, Its fief inventory, at the moment its usless I have no idea what the actual quality of the equipment stored there is. Please could you try and make it like the player Inventory, with an additional tab so we can actually see what (un)loomed of item we have stored inside the fiefs.

This quote and all the other comments from today = true.

Bigges thing to fix about Strat....asap.

Make it like player inventory page (and incorporate the adjustments to it that dodnet made to the player inventory page).

I spent a few hours last night trying to code it to display in an excel sheet (using copy pasta) but I am not very good at code, so I gave up. I'm going to try again, so we'll see if it works this time.

How about you add a tab for fief where only the upgraded or discounted item appear?

Well if they just made a tab for fief where all the gear appears like it does in the inventory, sorting out the mw stuff from the non mw stuff wouldn't be too bad. But as it is now, you have to transfer all of the gear into your inventory, categorize it there, then transfer the stuff you want to transfer back. Basically it's a big pain. Do-able, but still a pain.

Yeah, and do I have to add that you need to manually search for the items keywords with ctrl+F and look for the exact stack (by double checking the number of items in the stack you want to move with the 2nd inventory tab) to move from. Then if you have 2 stacks of items of the same name with the same number of items you dont know what you are moving

Takes approximately half a fucking hour to an hour to FORM AN ARMY

Step 1:  Put the quality level of the item after the name
Step 2: Alphabetize or sort inventory by item type/category

E.G.

Battle Axe (+3): 250
Blue Tunic (-2): 500
Mail Mittens (+1): 500
etc

Even for regular players, it would be nice to have a better inventory system. Something like adding filters for loom level and weapon type would be nice. It is a pain in the ass to scroll through all this shit to see if I have enough one handers or if I need to buy more.

Unless you are already aware of that script, in which case I'm a jackass.

Course, it would be nice if that was implemented to strat by default. A lot of people would have trouble installing scripts n shit, so yeah.

Yeah, I have that script, but it should be defaulted as you said. Especially since some people log into strat on their work/school computer.

i expect if included it would be like with the eye candy scripts, first you can sue and test it as do the devs and then they include of it what they like or let the dude who developed the addon include it and take him into their team as also done with eye candy script.

On a site note: Guika atm is developing 2 things, a diplomatic addon and a armory addon, the addition we are talking about here could fit into that project so perhaps also try and contact Guika. Guika likes more the server side programming so if you can give him a hand with client side you could be great help to each other.
