Yes, it is based loosely on the Sarmatians of history, but since I've taken some liberties with timeline, location, and troops and gear, they are henceforth known as Sarmacians. Calradia style ;).
Lost. That was the word his father used. The raid leader remembered the stories of glory his grandfather told, and the looks of sadness that would pass between the men of his tribe. Times when his tribe were the agents of change, the ones that kept a glorious Nation's army fed, on track, and safe from ambush. A small, nothing tribe of herders and hunters, until the great man had come from the West, centuries ago. The offer that had been made to his ancestors, legitimacy and purpose in a hard world, for glory and friendship. An entire people became important and renowned, the best scouts, the best raiders, the fiercest people to ever sit a saddle.
It had all faded now, but those skills could still be put to use. Tracking any who make themselves a foe, raiding for what was needed, trading for what couldn't be raided. Their nomadic roots still ran deep, and they could and would range far and wide in pursuit of a home.
Now is the time to resurrect Sarmacia. With lessons learned, and the knowledge that the world has changed, the Sarmacians are no longer a nomadic faction. Now is the time to find a land all our own, one where we can influence the balance of power, while still maintaining our superb scouting and horsemanship abilities. Windborn and Earthborn will work together, to bring prosperity to our people while still being proud of our nomadic heritage. Who will join us?
We have 2 general troop types :
KĀaris daibada - the Windborn, our cavalry raiders, our lancers, our deadly horse archers, our horse throwers.
Dedamitsis daibada - the Earthborn. Our foot soldiers, our archers, our vicious melee warriors, our foot throwers.
These troops are equal in rank, so play what ever character you like.
