Chort has helped us include the Eyecandy script into strategus. Report any bugs you find, but so far, it looks very appealing, visually.
Thanks Chort :)

Love the way it looks but I have one question, is there a way to make it so names will show up on everyone instead of them just being little dots you can mouse over? :?

Some kind of filter would be awesome:
Show names of Faction Member
Show names of certain Factions
That way we could see our Faction mates and/or specific Enemies (in our radius of sight only ofc).
-
Looks good on Firefox, just be sure to disable the old Greasemonkey Scripts if installed.
-
Meh, should have made it at least as good as Eye Candy to begin with, now we have a lesser version of Eye Candy without the possibility of fixing it as we could before (since using the Eye Candy script now fubars it all - disable it as already mentioned).

They used to do, so yes it should be very possible (and easy).
Otherwise :D Eye Candy script addon always been a number one priority for Strategus, quite horrible to play without it
vs Default, the new pages of course are of course way better.
vs Eye Candy script:
Positives:
- Faction page now lists carrying weight & crates (thank you Jebus).
- Buying pages are better.
- Loom level is shown on item icons.
Negatives:
- No filtering after name/troops/gold on Faction page
- No names on the map, extremely small dots
-
Sexy
-
travel times seem a bit off
but yeah, nice to see this change :D
-
Looks good, but i miss being able to see everyone name on the strat map, along with their little figure. Showing how many days/hours of upkeep you had was nice as well
-
I'm not able to grab the map and then move it. I'd like that to be implemented.

Works on Firefox. What Browser are you using?
Seems like the 3 dropdown menus on the top right aren't working at all.
-
There's still some minor details not 100% ready yet, but there were some important bugfixes in as well, that had priority over completeness :)

am using firefox :S doesnt work for me... idiot tips to get it working?

completeness
Is that a word? :P
Awesome Chort, thanks!

Did you disable/remove the old Greasemonkey eyecandy scripts for strategus if you used them before? (Menu -> Addons -> Userscripts -> "Drag & zoom & eye candy ..." -> disable or remove)
-

Yes, a noun.
8-)

even unistalled greasemonkey, i get the little 4 directional sign instead of a mouse arrow, but it doesnt move the map. I can only navigate via the 2 scroll bars on the map edges.
Edit: hmm works fine when i open it with opera.. stranger and stranger!

I tried it with Chrome. Before I've always done strat stuff with firefox cause of the eye candy =D

I think the dots of the players are too small and the icons of the villages/towns/castles are too big. But all in all pretty nice update.

Tried it with Opera and FF. Only worked with Opera for me.

CTRL+F5?

Would be good if you could add back in the movement lines, makes it easier to see whether people are gunna run into cliffs etc.
-
dang completely broken on the older IE browsers I gotta use at work.
looks nice on chrome at home tho

Same here, only see the tabs at the top for map, info, weapons, etc. everything else is black. The main site (c-rpg.net) is also super ugly with this browser, but it still works, just need to highlight certain text.

CTRL+F5?
you sir are a genius. :D

Yeah same thing I m seeing. using IE8
-
Hmmm..the old one was....better...
I don't want to be a stick in the mud, but the castles and villages look less like castles and villages and more like app icons on an ipad. :) The people are just dots, and their names don't show...forcing you to mouse over each and every one instead of getting all that info at a glance.
HOWEVER the new menus and organization is a nice improvment.
my 2 cents!
-
I'd also like to see the travel lines back.
And a filter so you can see all names. Or maybe an option to see all names within X distance of your character.
-
ALL PRAISE TO TEH CHORT!
xoxo love your work.

I totally agree, and i also miss the complete-overview function where you could see how much money, troops etc you faction has all in all.
Also, the feature that displayed the number of days you can keep your army until you run out of gold.
I'd also like to see the travel lines back.
I think they are implemented, I just can´t see them in Chrome, Firefox is fine.
Chrome seems to be bugged with it, if I zoom out and zoom in on a specific location, the troops I have seen in fullscreen are mirrored to this specific part of the map.
-

Try with Firefox. I get the lines on firefox. Just installed and confirmed!
-
So far , things to add:
-Sorting by name, troop, gold, rank in faction window
-The arrow waypoint that shows where faction member is going in how many minutes.
-Can't see party names in Chrome , didn't try other browsers . (No einsteins , i do change the party names option to Zoom -1 (always) anyway , still not working...)
-Pictures of fiefs from Calradian Explorer osp. I don't understand why they are removed but we need them again.
edit:
-Total member , total troops and total gold for faction window.
-
Book mark this http://eelio.pagesperso-orange.fr/ about a million times better than the shitty little pictures because it has the scene reference so you can go into the editor and fly around.
-----
Please add the handy little circle that lets you know when you will be able to get accurate info on a target, that thing was very handy :D
Great job keep it up guys... or else...
-
Ah, well then. Add the lines for Chrome!
-
Just noticed:
If you click on "Hide Details" when you´re having a look at the specifications and the roster of a battle, it jumps to the "info"-tab.
-
Strat still doesn't want to work with my Opera :(
-
What happened to my red line showing me where I was moving to?!
-
just a pretty petty issue but it isn't saving any of the options (factions, player names, city names etc...)
-
I don't like the map tbh, The town pictures look horrible and the dots are dire, was much better when you could just see who was around you and the titles of the towns are not fully covered when you zoom out.

Please fix this .
Either fix it or bring the old one back please it is really really hard to play strategus atm.
On IE waypoint works very good but all other shits are bugged .
On firefox colors dont appear according to owner factions.
On chrome , waypoints are bugged as hell and colors dont appear according to owner factions.
I need to run 2 browsers at the same time to understand where my guy is going ...
Please , i am begging you to fix this :)
-
Definitely better than the old one.
Thanks Chort.
-
Thanks for adding the options to sort by troops, gold etc.
But there are some bugs in it:
If you sort by rank, the rank 10 people are between the rank 1 and the rank 2 people.
If you sort in a different way than the default one and click on someone to see his equipment, the equipment screen will appear somewhere else in the faction list, under another member.
-
the lines are svg-based, so afaik they only work in firefox, not in chrome
-
The "map" page now mostly works again on IE8. There's even lines when you move (but fied names still all white). For the other pages, info, faction, battles, etc. I just see the buttons at top, rest is all black.

Dont use IE ? It's crap and shit standard anyway.

I don't have a choice at work... The worst part is we just upgraded from IE6 to IE8, and IE6 wasn't even the most archaic program we use.
That said the old interface worked fine...
The new one is nice but it kinda sucks if I can't even access it now. Would it please be possible to have an option to switch back to old interface if you don't wanna put in the work to make new on IE compatible (which is perfectly understandable)?
-
it's about time to finally make a religion to opose chadzianity
it's time for...
HAIL CHORTRINITY !!!
-
Found a bug... perhaps i missed it already, but when you reorganise the names on the faction page list via gold for example you cant see the items they are carrying anymore.

Wrote about this one page earlier, you actually CAN see them, but they appear at the wrong position ;)

Well maybe u should do ur work at the office?
-
hey cool kid, some of us don't have a choice at office...
-
from what i read sofar here and what came to mind i compiled following suggestions:
- another Zoom Level, atm if there are 2(empty) armies close by, one overlaps the other, with a higher Zoom lvl this could get fixed
- show Faction when clicking on any fief, not only those you are in visual range to
- Area of Influence Mode(choosable though options top right). Doesn't matter too much if it is a static regional attempt whereby the controlled regions are shown in the Factions colour or a dynamic Map in whereby the area of influcence shown would be determinded by the overall ticketcount within a fief. There had been made several attempts already by the community to regularly update or automate such a thing. Sadly nothing of constancy.
- In the Weapons tab(which aren't only weapons but gear), include please below the icons of those different types of gear, an overall prize of any type of gear chosen to purchase. Eye Candy provided that and i always founded it very useful to see the overall prize to estemate how much margin i had left or if i need to change some of the purchase before i actually bought it.
- Also in the Gear Purchase section, the ability to safe templates with customizable names, like Overland Attack, Town Siege, ... which then jsut needed to be loaded so i can equip instantly a specific number of troops.
- On armies, the time left the current gold would be enough for upkeep without loosing any troops
- An overview page of the current state of all Marketplaces in every Town
- Waypoints had been mentioned, i couldn't figure out if there is ment to be a way to set several waypoints, if not please concider adding such an option, including a final task to be done when reaching a fief, like buying/selling/attacking/raiding.

-
Sooooooooooo is there an eyecandy for this or something cause my map isnt showing up but all my GUI is.
-
Disable any greasemonkey scripts you are using like eyecandy and such.
-
I think it could be nice with a guide to that new strat.
-
Fix it please.
thxbye
-
could we pls have that neat thing from eye candy added again, where u just have to hover over target destinations with the mouse to see how far away they are? :)
