Why yes it is Nilera, just post in-game name and any details you wanna add to that.. like class, build or fav ice cream, then pop on the yellow with red/pink diagonal stripe banner (so you get balanced with us) we have a TS channel if you want to come in and say Hi n see if we're on or not come in and poke an admin for permissions to Red Lotus channel.

In game name is Nilera My build is 12/12 at lvl 19 with 110 2h and 68 arch with 4 in ath, ps, if, pd. I don't have a mic yet so i may have to hold off on the ts till i get one for a lil bit but i have a steam account. I'm Wetlarry on steam. :D

Alright everyone i have changed the rankings so you all need to change your ingame rankings to the ones stated with your names in the clan roster.
Details about the rankings

Koyakunin: A gate gaurd. The first rank given to you and requires no skill.
Tomokosho: A personal attendant. Given to you once you have been in the clan for 2 weeks. At this rank you will be asked whether or not you will be foot or cav and assigned to the officer that matches
Umamawari: A 3rd rank retainer. To gain this rank you must duel a samurai with the rank of Churo or higher while the officer in charge of you is watching. You don't have to win but must satisfy your officer. You now have the right to wear 2 swords if you wish.
Churo: A 2nd rank retainer. To gain this rank you must impress your officer in battle and he will award you with the promotion.
Koshogumi: A 1st rank retainer. This is the primary officer rank. It can only be given to you by the daimyo ranks or the Shogun himself. You will now command samurai and will be incharge of their behavior in game and on the forums. You need to pay attention to the forum and practice formations with those under your command.
Mujo Daimyo: The highest officer ranking without owning land in strat. Given to you by the Shogun. In charge the officers under you and making sure they are paying attention to the forums and  their men.
Joshu Daimyo: The highest officer rank. Gained by having land in strat that was given to you by the shogun. Same duties as the Mujo Daimyo.
Shogun: The leader of Red Lotus.

This is Koyakunin_Amako Akihisa, aka Mike_defender, just cll me mike over chat or in game much easier for everyone lol. I have an archer that i hardly use and a 2h/pole cav unit that is on its way to mid 25's and will probably retire again.

Hello my name is VanHohenheim and i was hoping if I could join your clan. Im currently a second gen char thats level 27 and Im mainly Str build. I prefer melee, my weapons of choice are my Tempered Katana and Mallet (against those pesky shielders). I'm hoping that i can eventually be renamed  RL_Ashigaru_VanHohenheim when If I can join.

We recently changed the rankings aha :P
our TS addy is on the first page can usually check that to see if we're on. We try to get on Tuesday and Thursday evenings specifically, any way rock the yellow background and pink/red stripe banner with us ! See you around. :D

Also i would like to remind everyone that if you are playing with RL tags on you MUST be in the RL ts. you don't have to have a mic on and you can listen to music if you're the only one in there or whatever. we do this so that when more of us get on it's easier to get on the same server.

hey guys i just added the clan to the official roster so please join the clan. when at the character crpg page at the top of the page there is a tab called ladder. click it. then click clan and then join clan and find RL :D

Vaynes when you get back accept me on the ladder and you should give me permissions to accept people to the ladder for when you're not on :D

Also, Rank 3 allows you to add ALTs as SUPPORTERs to the clan so you should definitely give that or higher to RL members.

Hey guys me and mori are thinking switching to a more traditional clan banner for RL. atm i was thinking of a banner with a white background a black stripe going across it both at the top and bottome and the work red lotus in japanese between the strips written and red.

you guys like this or any other ideas? we're going for a more traditional japanese clan banner

Well you could also have 4 read lotuses on a white background. since in japanese 4 is shi which is a homophone for death.

it had 1 comic relief part at the end that wasn't realistic while the rest of the movie was. didn't ruin the movie for me though :P

are you talking about the immortal mountain man guy? I think he was a bear hunter and a bandit so i would assume a guy who can hunt bears can take a sword to the throat and beat down a bunch of what is the samurai equivalent of a red shirt with a rock on a rope.

hes supposed to be a mountain spirit, hence an immortal... it follows japanese legend/folklore.

ATTENTION!
RL_Umamawari_parrish has been promoted to RL_Koshogumi_parrish. He has gained the officer rank from devotion to the clan, consistency with being in TS, commenting on the forums, and recruitment. As a cavalry officer he will now lead cavalry in battle.

From now on only officers can say whether or not someone may join the clan. However anyone in RL can refer someone to an officer for recruitment.

Welcome itsatrap I do remember playing with you. I would like to tell you welcome to the clan, now if you dont mind by changing your tags to RL_Koyakunin_itsaTrap2178. Also if you see on the first page we have a communications tab and that is were the Ts3 information is located, the shogun requires when you play with the RL tags you join Ts. One more thing is that if you can join the Ladder on the cRPG website that would be awesome :D and again welcome...

alright everyone i need you guys to post what your role is on the forums. either you are infantry or you are cavalry.
Infantry will be under the command of RL_Mujo_Daimyo_Sengo_Muramasa (Mori)
Cavalry will be under RL_Koshogumi_parrish or myself if I am present.
Report to your officers by messaging them on the forums (cavalry message parrish not me) so that they know who they are in command of.

To Officers remember that you will be in charge of your men's behavior and rankings.

Remember try to get on tuesday and thursday evenings around 8pm EST. these nights we will play together and work on tactics such as cavalry charges and formations :D

Oh hey, I'm sorry, didn't see this til now, I don't check forums that much.
This is Oda_Nobunaga. I am very active still, I need to reinstall TS (I upgraded to 64-bit windows) but that should happen soon. I'm technically infantry but I am really a hybrid infantry/cav build. I guess I'd mainly be with mori though. Hope to see you guys around!

I like how Tsunetomo uses the bamboo spear AND the kataner, it kinda reminds me of an old RL person..  :rolleyes:

Alright, sounds good. The only issue I have with the new skins is that I don't often wear armor as heavy as even the normal strange... I tend to stick with lamellar and it doesn't look great with that

Really well, that was an epic run we had the other night... I think it was soultaker, me, mori, takanobu(honeydew), richie(someones friend), earthdforce, and one or two others... we topped the scoreboard for like 6 maps on siege...
I've been thinking, we should get going in strat again... The experience points would be great, plus it would draw in a lot of recruits too.  We've got enough friends in other clans that we could probably get an excess of people to fight for us if necessary...

Oh yea i forgot my forum name is different...its Tojo. Last i remember i was under the command of Mori when we had a cav and infantry. Currently using my long-hafted blade as infantry.

Also, thought of a great name for a samurai character today... Commodore Matthew Perry. Not the 1st westerner to visit but he forced the Japanese to open trade with the US. I think its funny...

Hey, Nileran, if you need money or something to get you going I can help you out. Also, try waiting for a few days to see if the ladder issue is some sort of problem with your "new" character.  If its just that you can't find the clan, make sure you've selected "All" or "Recruiting" not "New" in the search specifications on the left side of your screen.  If nothing works you might consider looking for it on the forums or adding a post in technical difficulties.

Hey to join the ts3 server copy thhe address and paste it into ts3. Once you do that it should be a large server with a couple other clans. You will need to poke an admin to let you join the red lotus channel.

Also, what has happened with strat. I have no idea what has happened to the josho shogunate it appears that we have lost vyncourd castle, but I can't find any sign of RL, Ninja, or auphilias.

We traded those fiefs for new/better ones, we are all in the new area near Halmar, there are Kogado members on every day, and a new clan joined the alliance called the Kokuen (Black Smoke) and they are all ranged players (xbows and bows).

Oh.. the rounceys that we have now, okay.

Also to be exact, we had 50 shortened military scythes and 134 padded sarranid armour, with 192 tickets. Total cost: ~3000 gold.

Against what, 30+ rounceys, lances, shields, mauls, xbows, horn bows, darts, armour, helms, bamboo spears...

Frankly the fact that you lost so much should be embarrassing for you.

Ohayashi here, reapplying (at the urgings of her eminence Lady Auphelia) to the Lotus after dropping out from inactivity two months ago. I'm eager to contribute towards the Clan's and thusly the greater Shogunate's success in the latest incarnation of Strategus. Formerly a Busho, I can push some mean amounts of paper with grammatical impunity - and can perform in game as competently as possible with my rural Oregon ping.

Currently half way through a European footman gen (ye olde Alvin_Fuchs), so it'll be a week or two until a full name change.

well the best you can do atm is to get in TS and get with auphilia. i've got my official schedule now and my martial arts seminar is over. i will be on usually before 8:30 most days. tues and fri i have off so maybe 1 of those a week will be all nighters

Hmph... so far all the battles that have seemed important have been either about midday on weekdays or like 4 AM on weekends... I really don't know if its possible to adjust that, but until we do you can expect to not really see me at many of these battles, which I will admit, is a bit disappointing...

Everyone I'm sorry to say that I can no long lead Red Lotus. As many of you know I have a new job that is over night and I just do not have the time lead and manage RL. I'm not going to leave a wall of text explaining in detail of what it requires to lead a clan but i would like to tell everyone that it has been a GREAT run with you guys. I will still play c-RPG but not as often as i have been in the past.

Not your fault really. It's the fault of the Shogunate losing all leaders within a week except me. And I have no contact with RL. Essentially. The Shogunate leadership has quit. I gave the lands to Remnants and took our armies to go and help Hero Party:

Eh, it actually is his fault for not being active enough to know whats going on. The war wasn't over night. He had days to get on board. The deals were made public. If he was active, he would know. If there were ANY active RL officers, he would know.

It definitely isn't the fault of the leadership who officially stepped down (Myself and Nomin). lol
I'm never doing this again. Lose days of sleep. Figure out all of the logistics. Make all the plans. Work on all the trade. Do all the diplomacy. Manage all the fiefs. Make a deal with remnants. Make friends with Chevaliers. Wake up to 15 messages everyday. (If I even got to sleep). Didn't have time to even play the game anymore. Fighting wars with inactive members. Cleaning up the messes of inactive members (who attempt to do things in strat without talking to anyone else). Etc etc etc, all to be blamed for the fall of the shogunate lol. Cuz that is totally my fault. Nomin was never expected to do anything he did, he just realized how much work it was and he wanted to take some of the weight, and I stated I didn't want to lead the alliance on my own. I was forced to, and I did so for longer than anyone gives me credit for. Even though you say you are taking over Khorin, you left just as much as anyone else left. Right now you just manage one army. Try managing all of the members. Put them all back on trade routes. Make them start recruiting troops. Get them organized. Go get the fiefs owed to the shogunate, do you even know which ones? A faction that size has no business with only one army anyways. Theres at least a dozen faction members with more than enough troops to have a decent sized army. Yet they all just sit there and do nothing. I guess it is your fault this time. Because before, it was totally my fault. You open your arms to someone who would attack a shogunate castle. You declare war against hospitallers, who are one of the ONLY factions who have not done us any harm this strat. And now you are some kind of hero lol. Once that army is done, the shogunate is dead. The shogunate is already dead. You have two members attacking fiefs for no reason lol. I don't think there is another faction in the game who has had two accidental attacks at the same time.

Anyways I don't mean to come off rude or anything. I'm just tired of getting shit for putting countless hours into this faction, trying to give weeaboos a home, trying to let us all have fun in strat, and doing the best I could given the situations. Everyday someone has something to say about my leaving the shogunate. Yesterday a friend I've known for over a year is going to tell me I brought the shogunate shame. Never again will I put this much work into a faction that doesn't even appreciate it. This faction wouldn't exist if not for me. Red Lotus wouldn't exist if not for me. Kokuen wouldn't exist if not for me. There was another 8 man clan that wanted to join the shogunate too. Unfortunately there are no officers taking care of that recruitment (to my knowledge).

If the whole alliance crumbles at the loss of two members, then the alliance is weak. Do not blame the leaders for not wanting to play strategus by themselves.

I'll take some responsibility, I was offered an officer role, and would have gladly been the liaison between RL and the shogunate... unfortunately real life got in the way... It leaves me deeply saddened to see what has happened to my beloved Red Lotus... I don't know where the blame goes, its a disappointing end, I don't know that blame really needs to be assigned.  I do know that there are still some great people involved in this... I also know the frustration of putting so much into something then seeing it fall and being blamed. I also know that I'm still really fuzzy on what happened in strat... I was very active for several months during which we had several active officers, we were growing everyday, and were dominating siege in groups of 5-15, I left for two weeks and returned to find a clan that had fallen apart, leadership resigning, officers and soldiers inactive or quitting, and the shogunate in ruins, due mostly to the inactivity of the mid-grade officers... The fact is that because of the lack of mid-grade officers, recruitment fell apart and there was little to no communication between the lower ranks and the two most active leaders... For example... I, being in TS nearly everyday, was not aware that we were even at war until a week into it and talked to almost all the lower level red lotus members who also knew nothing about it... I know how much effort Auphilia and Nomin put into this and I think that if we're to blame anyone, its the officers who were supposed to take the info from the leaders to the lower grades and, once again, the lack of active officers in Red Lotus (to a large degree because of real life issues).
I don't know where we're going from here. If this is it then so be it, but I won't just forget the times we had together. So, someone please keep all of us commoners informed as to the next step, are we done? or are we going to, as Churchill put it, "Keep buggering on."?

Really, Auphilia... I'm not blaming you any more than I am blaming everyone in the Shogunate, including me. Which is not much blame at all. No one likes/liked strategus, so no one wanted to play or lead it. There's nothing wrong with not playing a game you do not like.

The armies on the rest of the members are irrelevant because they do not have enough gold to support the added upkeep nor equipment. I said that I have no interest in leading Strategus, so I asked Vaynes if he wanted to. He did. Then he vanished for a few days and quit due to real life issues. This is completely fine and understandable. Once again. Don't play it, if you don't enjoy it. I will not lead this faction to a new beginning. The only thing I ever promised to you was to lead it to its end. And then I will quit aswell. This is why I will not organize new trading routes, nor will I take the fiefs from Remnants in the desert, and that is why I had to decline the 8 guys who wanted to join(they added me on steam). They can form their own faction. If they are truly 8 active guys, then they already have more than we had the last weeks. Thursday and Friday night I stayed up 'til 6 AM just to make this happen, because that's EU timezones for you. I also have been working with Braeden to synchronize our assaults. Your negotiations for you safe passage back to Halmar almost failed in PhantomZero's absense. Count Berenger on their forums told the LLJK to fight you anyway, regardless of your agreement with Phantom(I do not know why), so I had to quickly convince Berenger aswell to let you pass. While doing that I also negotiated Nomins safe return to Peshmi. The same evening I posted my announcement I finished the Remnant deal with Noodles and Sauce, and told them that they will receive their fiefs even if they have to attack those owned by the inactive members. In exchange for the inconevenience they could keep their fiefs that were meant to us. I had originally planned to give them to Chevaliers, but their support of the Hosp invasion made me scrap that idea and just leave the fiefs to Remnants who were our greatest friends.

I do not mean to demean your contributions. But do not mistake me of being completely idle after you left. Just because I didn't tell you everything, doesn't mean I didn't do anything. I simply didn't want to bother you with strategus stuff more than I had to, since you made it clear you did not want to do it anymore.

Any battles caused by members will be meaningless. There will be no one signing up to fight them. If they wish to fight they must create a new faction to get battles, then they are free to do so. However, they will not do this in the name of Josho Shogunate.

My actions against Hosps are completely reasonable. You were convinced that every major faction was against you(except Hosps). You hated the idea of other factions ganging up on us. Well. So do I. I never hid my attitude toward these huge alliances and I would have resisted a TKoV invasion or an FCC invasion on Hero Party just as much as I resist a Hosp invasion. Why? Because it's the right thing to do. Because it causes an even conflict. Because it creates better battles. And that's what Strat is to me. I don't want to see one faction beat another just because they have more members. I want to see them win due to organization, strategy, skill, etc. I merely evened out a conflict that was in the larger factions favour. As I will always do. I dedicated the last action of the Shogunate to oppose such actions from larger clans. If the war had been merely between Chevaliers and Hero Party, I would not have gotten myself involved in it and I would have done something else with the army. Perhaps even invade LLJK to get a final battle at their walls.

Strategus must never become personal to anyone leading it. And I know how much time one can spend on and how it can make you hate certain factions. But you have to remember that all factions are simply playing the game. Hating someone for playing it is just meaningless. This is why I appealed to our former enemies to help me in my last action. I never hated them. They were a cause to battle. And now, they may help me to create a few more battles.

If any active members wish to continue participating in strategus, then they will have to do it from the ground up. Just like you did. Maybe then they will understand what it takes.

As always Auphilia, I thank you for creating an excellent strategus experience, however short it was. Same with Nomin. If Nomin would not have stepped up, I would probably have either assisted you or become a true leader and by now I would have failed my university courses. This past week I've worked my ass off to do all the assignments and study for all my tests. The reason why the Shogunate ended with you and Nomin leaving is because you were the only ones with enough time or will to lead. All of those in your list had by all intents and purposes quit before you quit. I was hanging around and kept frequent contact and ideas, but I did not fulfill my role either. When Nomin seemed to want to do it, I was thrilled to let him do it. And felt guilty when he could not cope with it.

To Count Berenger: Auphilia created the Red Lotus clan.

To SteelFalcon: Any of you RL guys can keep the clan going. The Ninja clan does not suffer from the dismantling of the Shogunate. In the contrary, most of us are relieved to go back to what our lives where before this strat started. Even though strat requires organization, a clan does not. Without Vaynes, you guys should still be friends and enjoy playing together. That is what Ninjas are. A group of people who enjoy playing together, not a group of people forced by an officer to play together. Keep RL going, if you guys still want to The large part of the armies in shogunate is marching to its end. If anyone wishes to begin anew, you guys have some forces and gold between your members. Simply create a new faction and try and make it happen if you have the will to do it. It will take a large chunk of your time.

Yeah, I know you were putting work in as well. I didn't mean to say no one was doing anything. I was still on board with the ending and was made aware of your doings. We were both talking together when we first mentioned to give those two fiefs to Chevaliers. We talked again when we changed our minds about it, as they have not fulfilled their word of independence and pretty much made anyone involved in it look like fools. I was still talking to noodles up until the day you actually transferred the fiefs.

As for the LLJK stuff, I was told that multiple people were involved in the cease fire. People outside of the shogunate even. I appreciate anyone's effort in that. Although, I wouldn't expect them to fight Nomin's army of over 700 troops after suffering heavy losses in the past few days. The most I would have expected was to have my own personal army defeated, which might have delayed the deal with remnants, but for as long as the deal took, I could have possibly made it back by then regardless.

I don't imagine Red Lotus will die. Weeaboos will be weeaboos, regardless of the color of their banner. Red Lotus is just there to offer them a home in NA. That is what it was when I founded it, and that is what it should always be, regardless of how active it becomes.

I was not afraid of losing Nomin losing a battle. I was afraid of him being delayed by more peasant armies. At the time we had no trade going on, so every day our cash reserves were diminishing. This is why it was important to get everyone back as quickly as possible. I even tried to convine Phantom to let Ninja_Phnxbow go, which Phantom attacked on Thursday, since he had a lot of trade goods, but I had nothing to offer in return but vague promises of my intent, being reluctant to reveal my plans.

lol, no one here even knows about what you did besides me and Khorin. So I wouldn't really expect any discontentment. Khorin forgives you and I left the shogunate, and with me all previous diplomatic relationships.

I'm not sure there is anyone in Red Lotus willing to lead, but if there is, they should take this opportunity to make it known. Otherwise, what is left of Red Lotus will fade away.

I think Mori is our best bet at this point. I unfortunately have some serious business happening in real life right now...
