Maybe it has a hidden cash sink because we don't know the exact amount of players participating and we don't know howmany tickets everyone buys.

Well would it actually matter? Though if gold is put away and there is some gold sink, that is absolutely fine. A gold add would be much more bad.

If you play it, blaming the lottery is a bit like setting your home on fire then complaining it burns.

The cRPG lottery works like all lotteries in the world, and is making "profit" out of this activity, profit which is taken out of the economy as a measure to counter the inflation.

It's ok. It might stimulate the economy just by moving large sums of gold around a bit, redistribution of wealth and all that. Sure players with more money can buy more tickets and have a higher chance of winning, but you only need 1 ticket to have a chance, and if you can't afford 1 ticket you have more pressing issues that whether the lottery is a good idea or not...

I bought tickets for 50 000 once, now I just buy for 100 gold. xD
I think it's a fun addition, I see no problem with it.

A way to improve it would be to add a greater chance for everyone with Exit in their name to win.

Obviously. Like any real lottery, it always takes in more than it pays out overall. There are far more losers than winners. It's an optional gold sink, which a few people can get lucky gains out of.

The key word is optional, though. Nobody is forced to play it, hence it's not a problem at all.

I like the idea of the lottery but it certainly needs some work like the fact that one can win multiple time in the same lottery is kinda silly imo. I also wonder how random it is since i see some people that have won already 5-6 times out of 7 lottery so far..

Anyway, i spent like 150k so far for a total gain of 0 lol.

Thank god i still have the market!

Someone did the math, If you do max count every time, you have 1/4 chance to win 1 prize. But not everyone buys max tickets so that probably goes up a bit more. Can't remember the location of the math.

When I calculated it 2k players participated in lottery and an average of 100 tickets was bought. Chance to win is now higher since less players pariticipate now but also the prices are lower. And the distribution of the tickets doesn't matter at all only the amount of tickets you have. If you have 500 tickets and five other guys have 1000 tickets the chances of winning are the same even if one guy has 500 and the other 4 guys have to share the rest.

The chance of winning one price last lottery if you bought max count tickets was about 48%.


If the degression of participants and thus the total number of tickets bought goes down as countinously as before, this is a very inaccurate guess, let's say down to 85,000 (total would be 8,500,000 obviously),

the chance of winning (again only one price and max count tickets are bought) would be 60%.

But even if the chance is above 50% one has to consider that most prices won't really cover the money you spend so do as you did before.

Yes but somehow many people think it's totally rational to complain about being offered choices. Maybe they know inside they are so stupid it's more economical if someone decides for them.

So, after lottery is now running nearly for 3 months, can we have some kind of result how "effective" this gold sink and lottery was after all? How much gold has been "removed"? Obviously less people are buying tickets each week, as we have been at 21million gold before and went down to not even 9 million during the last 2 months. Any future changes?

Goldsinks working better than expected actually. I'm selling really good items on market for really low prices compared to others and I can't sell anything.

People either don't have gold or are saving it, but one thing is certain. Prices are going down.

Here's an overview of gold created and removed in the last 12 weeks (we are not tracking everything yet, e.g., when items are bought/sold or the listing fee for offers).

its garbage all the rich players rub off each other because you'r aloud a certain amount of tickets to be purchased now, so they bribe others for there tickets for higher chances of winning. I Root for peasants to win but looking at the what you people call "Results"  I dont know if you noticed but alot of the same people win and there rich...
