Also, Oberyn, I think that's only natural, we're not obstructional because we don't use the Euro, Europe is more or less free trade between those countries and being out of the Euro, as I said before, means that we're in the lower half of Europe, although we care what happens to Greece for example, it'll be bad for us, it won't nearly be as bad for us as you for example.
Also, historically, us Brits and French as nationalities have never gotten along and have always had views like that. (Not the individuals mind you, I don't have a problem with any person, just the stereotypes and friendly banter between said countries.)
I think our government knows we belong in the EU, but they still feel that they could be pushed out of it easily and therefore will stop at nothing to, like any other country as I stated before, make sure that the policies go their way. If you watch our media, there are constantly things that say that the Prime Minister must stop something from happening in order to keep our stake in the EU etc etc.
But in this day and age, particularly in a multinational community such as this one, although nationality plays a large role in who we are, it's good to have some identity of where you come from of course, people tend to look past where you come from (in my own experience, I understand there are some countries that have difficulty with this, but hopefully for your countries, that might pass in time.) At the end of the day, if you find a good group of people to play with, likeminded or otherwise, nationality gives a good point for banter. It's what the internet achieves best if you fall into the right place.
Anyways, as we're derailing the thread, I think this is my last jump at "happy EU, happy world".
