need more xp after 16 generations.Vote it !
-
we've already had that, the devs had to divide existed heirlooms by 3 and stop the generation abuse.
no.

no.
I don't abuse . I'm only asking about it !

No. Make an alt and transfer looms to your main when you retire. Some people have a lot of time on their hands to play c-rpg

No. You get enough XP!

I think retirement should give diminishing results. Like, 100 bonus xp for the first gen, then use the 0.9th power of what the previous bonus was each time you retire again :
gen2 100
gen3 100^0.9 ~= 63
gen4 63^0.9 ~= 41
gen5 41^0.9 ~= 28
gen6 28^0.9 ~= 20
gen7 20^0.9 ~= 15
gen8 15^0.9 ~= 11
gen9 11^0.9 ~= 9
gen10 9^0.9 ~= 7
gen11 7^0.9 ~= 5
gen12 5^0.9 ~= 4
gen13 4^0.9 ~= 4 (the real number is smaller but is still truncated as 4)
gen14 4^0.9 ~= 3
gen15 3^0.9 ~= 3
gen16 3^0.9 ~= 2
gen17 2^0.9 ~= 2
gen18 2^0.9 ~= 2
gen19 2^0.9 ~= 2
gen20 2^0.9 ~= 1
And it stays 1 forever after generation 20 (yes it can lead to a potential infinite xp bonus but I don't think we do care about what could become a problem in a few decades at worst).
It think this formula with these parameters gives significantly less bonus xp than the current one until you reach a very high gen count. 0.95 as the power is probably a better choice.

yep, let's encourage people to be high level powerwhores by never retiring....oh wait dev team wants people to retire to avoid that

No because for players like me (Gen 16) that is above 31+ level is not fair

This system would encourage people to retire more, rather than less. Currently, you go to gen 16 then after that retiring is virtually pointless. IMO retirement should remain an interesting option for a longer time.

Of course it would be unfair if characters weren't updated. Porting characters to this system would not create problems. It has been done in the past and can be done again. Everything can be recalculated back using your current xp and gen count.

Yes it is.

what? you saying that geving less gen benefits would make people retire more? what?
-
So Kafein, you would only get one more exp for each time you retire after 20?
-
the only thing you need after 16gens is a girlfriend
-
XP bonus wont make high gen people (like myself) retire.
I and many others only retire because we can't be bothered with playing the same build for ages. (Though I am trying to stay on one build for the first time (made it to level 31 so far), because there really isn't any reasons to retire any more).
There should be some other incentive than heirlooms and XP bonus, not that I know what it should be, maybe the 32+ heirloom that would be a 4th heirloom.

So they will give me 4 loom points as i am level 33 now ? :(

You do retire after gen 16 if you are working on getting chadz text.
-
No.
I don't think someone who played a 1000+ hours of cRPG needs aditional advantages over new players, tbh...
Anyways, do what i do if you hit gen 16+: make an alt for every build you like.

At some point a player is going to be tired of grinding items 24/7 no matter what, making some sort of solution desirable in terms of design (alts != answer). I don't support adding more 'heirlooms' as for example the suggested level 33 heirloom, that would only make the game even more unbalanced. Heirlooms IMO off-set the balance and I for one am for removing Heirlooms altogether -- as long as there's something given/added in return that makes up for the time spent.
I'm also of the same opinion when it come to levels, BUT first of all they're not that big a difference in terms of balance, it might mean something for archers to receive 10 more wpf but for most it doesn't mean much, sure you have athletics, one more power-strike and so on, but there are so many other factors in C-RPG, the weight of your items effecting your speed, or that you're a class that doesn't care about armor weight (cav). Overall it is not that big a deal at all. However, if people want a clear straight forward playing field then just cap leveling at 31 or 32, leave it at that as long as I mentioned above there's something given/added in return that makes up for the time spent. That's really all people are looking for. If there is one thing gamers care about it is the amount of time they've invested into a game, and retiring past 32 means you're throwing away time invested into the game.
I'm generation 17, made most of those back in the day when you only had to be level 15 and registered for a week to retire. I stopped retiring like more than a year ago because I decided I had enough looms, one for each slot to be specific, which left me with no incentive to continue the grind at the time (Strategus crafting wasn't in -- but I would be reluctantly grinding crafting if that were the case).
All I want to do is play the game when I want and feel like it, if I was still retiring I would need to play up my character to an appropriate level to participate properly in events, meaning having to grind every week or at least every other week.
TLDR: No more XP, adjust game instead.

Cooties, it sounds more like you want this mod to be like native.

The changes I mentioned would never in any way turn C-RPG into something resembling native, nor would I ever want that.
Point is that if high levels are unwanted then provide them with a solution that doesn't involve grinding levels over and over, there's people every week who decide to stop retiring because they're tired of grinding and not being accepted to for example Strategus battles due to being low level, but once you decide to stop retiring it is pretty much a one way road, same spec, same everything forever, unless you're willing to throw away all those hours you just spent on gaining those levels, that also leads people to quit the mod half way through, or retire and dread the loss of time for then to rage-quit over some other annoyance.
