Post by: Zisa on April 25, 2012, 06:37:02 am
What is the problem with this thing... it is going to sit on the edge of the world for the next two hours irritating my eyes.

I like it.  It adds another strategic element to the fighting.

Slap yourself. Attacking while having the sun in the back is an old viable tactic. Why not in cRPG?

Last I checked, visible light, from a single, strong source like the sun, didn't pass through solid matter, in such a manner that it may cause disorienting effects, that does not possess translucent or transparent properties.

EDIT: Because physics nautshies.

Please buff the sun, it has only two attack directions, twelve and nine a clock!

I love it. I play with HDR and auto-exposure on as I love bloom effects and digital vibrance.

Light is a wave.

Glass?
So all the walls/trees/players in cRPG are made of glass?

Get a laser pen and shine in through your fingertip. Your nail should be laser coloured!

Lol, why am I hearing all this shit about tactic, I just roll DX7 specifically so that night time is fullbright for me and so that there's no sun blinding me.

Yeah, DX7 fixes this issue.

But should we play in DX7 because of it?

I like how the devs claim it's a "tactic" yet no one actually USES them as a tactic.

People either hate it because it effects their ability to play in some way, or people like it because it makes Warband look less like a pile of shit.

Slap yourself. Attacking while having the sun in the back is an old viable tactic. Why not in cRPG?

This is a game, not real life. You shouldn't be putting in "elements" or "tactics" that hinder some and not others, and if you do fix it so it works for everyone.

Example - Night time

The only solution here is a sun on both sides.

Not at all, I wish I could actually play with DX9 and everything maxed, my computer can handle it, it's just a shame that I turn blind whenever I do it because the Sun reflects even on swords with the force of the wrath of a thousand gods to destroy my eyes.

Or where night time is so dark that I'm going blind forcing my eyes to pick up glimmers of light in the dark hoping it's a sword and I blocked the right way.
