Title: A new 2h Mace? (Model project to add mace, WIP)

I like Maces. i LOVE maces. Thats why im going to make a brand new model for CRPG.
 
IM DOING A CALLOUT FOR ALL TEXTURE ARTISTS THAT WOULD LIKE TO GIVE THIS A TRY. I AM NOT A TEXTURE ARTIST, IM A 3D ARTIST. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Why does it have two different weapon lengths? Is it a telescopic mace?

Maybe 30 blunt would be enough? Or lower speed a bit?

Yeah, thats a possibility. maybe 31 B, and 94 speed? for me, really, having a longer mace thats fairly fast, and is balanced is the most important. that currently does not exist, and i feel it should.

YES! that would be beastly! as a matter of fact, i believe theres a Mount and Blade model for that. there are tons of LOTR weapon packs and mods

Or you could make a mace that is balanced for game play purposes, which inst too far off from real life...

Ahh, you wanna balanced weapon with high blunt damage, high speed and knockdown... Why you do not ask for crushtrough? Also it must be usable on horse and cost 1 gold.

weapon length: 90 -fair length, still shorter than most.
thrust damage: 0 blunt - no thrust
swing damage: 32 blunt - fair damage, but nothing too op.
slots: 2

Just to be clear, what i posted was a SUGGESTION. the idea is that there should be another mace, something that does blunt, and is balanced, with fair length. essentially, a variant of the LIM that looks more attractive and is better in a duel.

Yes. They constantly add new stuff, and if you can make a good looking 2h mace that isn't redundant, they will certainly add it.

Probably if you drop the speed to 90-92, drop the damage to 30 or 31. Weight to 3. Length can stay, or if not get a little bit lower. (85ish-90ish)

Noted. I just plunked 4 hours into making this model. im not sure how im going to texture and bump map it yet ,since wings 3d is soooooooooo different than 3dsmax, but i can at LEAST make the model.

the model has three personal touches...

-extra stud ring
-longer mace wings
-custom pommel.

if i can get this done, this will be the most bad ass mace ever!

Stats of the (Knightly Mace) 7500 Gold or so. - these stats are good, and they justify a high price for this mace.
weight: 3.2 -good weight
difficulty: 15 - high difficulty
speed rating: 95 - staying
weapon length: 85 -changed to be more fair; still usable by horseback.
thrust damage: 0 blunt - no thrust
swing damage: 32 blunt - about as good as i can go. if im making a new model and pouring my heart in it, i want it to be good.
slots: 2 - will definitely be a 2 slot weapon.
Knockdown
1h/2h -like morningstar
Usable on Horseback - like morningstar

Really, this is meant to be a blunt alternative to the morninstar, that trades damage for speed and balance.

This weapon should be unbalanced. It is slightly less weight than the morningstar, but also slightly longer.

Otherwise, the gold price of 7500 is negligible compared to the benefits of choosing the knightly mace over the morningstar. Even then, unbalanced is often a neutral thing because it gives you unpredictable feints, so maybe even upping the price to ~9500 would be more fair.

I think the second looks somewhat more appaling.Even though I personally was more hoping for flat wings, you know, without all those kind of spikes.Like the 1h Winged mace :D

at the stats...If It has to be balanced, make it 93 speed(Still faster than most comparable weapons), and give it back 90 length.AS price I think 8k would suffice.

Guys. There's NO reason to discuss stats. The devs will make them themselves and there's nothing we can do to choose them.

If you make the model, texture, bump maps etc, they can add it. That's all that needs to be done.

And why is it allowed to have a 80cm balanced 1h blunt but its not possible for 2h?

NO BONUS

The model would have to look like it could pierce.

And why is it allowed to have a 80cm balanced 1h blunt but its not possible for 2h?

1. Because you can't use barmace with shield or on a horseback (and this is huge bonus)
2. Because shield in left hand works like balance (anyway - this 80cm long weapon is a fantasy of balance team, if you remember old model, it was much shorter)

3. Agree with No Bonus - No Penalty system
4. Twohanded warhammer can't be used on horseback, because it has 108-120cm overall lenght and was heavy and slow. Agree that we need twohanded warhammer in cRPG as top-tier 2H weapon with blunt damage BUT WITHOUT silly crushthrough

This mace idea seems nice, and I wholeheartedly support it. But I don't get it why is it in game balance discussion? Do we desperately need a mace to provide some kind of balance?

I think they placed it here because they  believe the model will be placed in the mod just that it will affect some game balance issues at to the proposed stats they wish to imbue in such an item thus it's in this thread.

You will never receive an answer. Make a stellar model, and they will probably include it. But the model also needs textures and a specular and bumpmap.
