Cola on a hot summer evening.

- But I haven't bought it and try to avoid it where-ever possible (dinner out/takeout etc) since I found out they openly support ACTA.

Pepsi does not.

I don't drink either by themselves.  The only time I drink cola is when mixing whiskey or rum with it.

If I'm mixing whiskey I make it with diet coke.  Used to always mix with coke but I'd get horrible stomach aches by the end of the night. Figured it was from the booze not the sugar.  Switched to diet and then I could drink all night without getting gut rot.

Pepsi tastes like shit (sorry Pepsi drinkers). Like people here said, Cola is good in a glass bottle when it's cold. Last time i drank it was like 2 years ago though.

Pepsi, taste better, and doesnt leave this "weird after drinking something" in the mouth as Cola does, at least not that much.

Beside - Pepsi Light, and Pepsi Blue.

I got to be the only guy in Europe that likes vanilla coca cola (not the normal taste, the special one that tastes remotely like vanilla). But also Cherry Coke and all these sweet tastes. In Europe people like the original and lemon cola, nothing else. Each time the company tested sweet varieties, they were taken back almost immediately. The majority doesn't like when you add sweet tastes over sweet tastes, so we have lemon cocacola (and also orange cocacola that survived a few years), but in fact it contains much more sugar/sweetener due to the compensation provided by the agrum's acid.

You don't find pepsi very often in Belgium, but I really didn't liked it, at least compared to coca. It feels like directly eating aspartame pills, with this weird "metallic" taste on top of the illusion of sugar.

Anyway, I in fact dislike both as "heavy consumption soda" (you know, that 6-pack of 2l bottles near your desktop), because they contain so much gas I have to pause all the time when I'm drinking, to avoid eating all that gas and loosing time... somewhere else, or making atrocious burps.

I was so pissed when they stopped selling vanilla coke here and simply stuck with lemon coke. Vanilla coke was by far the best.

Well yeah, claiming that on the Internet I was quite sure people would disagree and I'm happy about that. But it's just that from all the people I know IRL, either I don't know or they told me they don't like cherry/vanilla coke.

This is awesome :D

Btw, I prefer Bitter sodas over cola. Like the Bitter Kas, sad thing Kas is only sold in Spain. They got quite epic lemon and orange sodas too. Like, super acid.

Eeek, water is for boats. You like eating a tasteless translucent gelatine ? I don't, and I don't like to drink a tasteless translucent liquid either, except when I'm really thirsty of course.

Respectfully disagree, though I guess not everyone has easy access to a natural spring. In any case, water, even from a tap, tastes far better to me than artificial syrup-sugar-beverage amalgamate; the stuff is just too thick, downright gross. If I'm looking for something with a little more zip I'd opt for some fresh apple cider or squeezed orange juice.

Clean water tastes amazing. I bet you live in the city  Though indeed, to each their own. I realized anything was possible when ti comes to personal taste when one of my friends told me that she does not like chocolate... I even met a woman who hated fresh bread...

I happen to prefer squeezed fruit juices over most sodas.

Well yeah aren't there people that use sausages that emulate the metallic taste of canned food ? Lol.

I tasted a lot of different waters, be it bottles from zillions of natural sources, in the city or in a small village. I even tried water from the sea, lakes, rain, snow, everything. It all tastes the same void, with mere nuances in the tastelessness. The only way I can start to like water is to make it warmer. Somehow the taste changes, but it isn't as refreshing then.

Nope, nothing regularly, but still, when I'm exhausted after say, a tabletennis marathon with some friends, I drink a simple fruit juice or degassed soda (gas makes it harder to breathe and to drink fast, another good point is that you taste the sugar more, I know many people hate degassed soda for that reason though), but I drink a lot of it.

Man there is nothing better than having your water run straight of the glaciers to your tap. The water I've had in the Alps beats any drink I've ever tasted...including coffee which is saying a lot for me. Water does taste very differently depending from where it comes. I get what you mean by the tastelessness, but at the same time, properly fresh water is so refreshingly nice that it's impossible to beat.

Regular tap water in England is shit though (very hard water) so I don't drink it that much here.

Back in the day, it was Pepsi. I've grown to dislike both, and probably only appreciated it because colas were forbidden fruit as a child. I do prefer coke in the United States. Pepsi seems to be better in Asia. It's weird.

I drank sodas full of sugar all day for years, but now I try to slow down a bit, avoiding to drink when I'm not thirsty. Result is, some days I don't drink (nothing, even water) for 12 hours straight and that's not very good either xD
