I am not a programmer, but I understand how hard game tweaks can be.
EDIT: Ya you are all right, kill timer a bad idea with exploiting, something must be done though, lots of good ideas here.
That said, what I think cRPG really needs for general gameflow is a way to speed up the last player hiding in a bush or riding around with a xbow. What usually makes me quit the game and go play something else is the 5 minute wait.
I think the last player left should have a kill timer, if he doesn't kill or do damage to a player or shield in 30 seconds he dies. I understand the realism crowd might not like this, but there comes a point where every game has to sacrifice gameplay with realism and I think we are there.

I agree that a server with over 100 people having to wait for the last asshat to die is annoying, but a better way to do it would be to spawn the MOF flags more often/under the right circumstances.

How about markers for remaining players at 0:30? The deluge mod has this.

This. Forcing MotF at the last minute (normally only spawns if 60 seconds pass without a death in the current system) would solve this "problem" in a far more elegant manner.
Besides, the delaying sniper HA/HC who manages to score kills forcing MotF from spawning is being a bit of an idiot certainly in an unwinnable fight, but then again every infantryman chasing said HC/HA is also a bit of an idiot for not just staying still in a safe place. Both teams are to blame for their gross stupidity, so both should suffer.

And maybe add more locations for them to spawn on each map if possible, so teams dont charge the flag spawn and camp it. :)

Pretty much this...common sense is knocking (well it's actually ringing the doorbell and calling your phone too because you weren't answering the knock), will the dev's answer?

I disagree, nothing must be done IMO. I like it as it is and there is already enough hate against last players that do something unexpected and they get kicked very fast.

Exactly, this is why something should be done. There wouldn't be all this hate against last players, or players getting kicked, if there was a good solution to make it so people didn't have to wait super long for these last players' antics.
Waiting honestly doesn't bother me most of the time, but I see how much it bothers the majority of the playerbase and I suppose it can get to me every now and then. Why not try to think up a new feature to make the game better? As long as it isn't something that makes the game worse, like a kill timer.

In the AUS server we have a melee rule for HA that works pretty well. If your last alive you have to go melee, but its a loose rule. I'm sure if it was Rohy with 4 people we would leave it but 1 vs 20 not a chance in hell.
