Title: Mount and Blade 2
Post by: KillerofFlowers on February 29, 2012, 09:46:04 pm
So im hearing that it will definetly come out and i was wondering if all gold and hierlooms would be transfered over if thats even possible. Even if you could i would prefer it to be a clean slate with everyone back to peasants instead of everyone having looms.

But you know that it takes a lot of time to even create the mod? And we still do not know if the game will be alright in anyway, nor if it is even moddable.

Tutorial: How to use the god damn search function.

-A short by Christo-

Step One: Open forum.c-rpg.net

Step Two: Look for the "Search Option"
Can't find it? Here's some guidance.
(click to show/hide)

Step Three: In the search menu, use the variable options to find threads, posts similar to your interests.
(click to show/hide)

Step Four: USE IT BEFORE YOU CREATE TOPICS ABOUT STUFF THAT HAVE AT LEAST THREE TOPICS ALREADY.
Damnit.

Thanks for reading.

The real question if TW wants to allow modding and let the cRPG team do the dirty work for them and just collect all the rl gold or do they want to control everything and fail.

The real question is: will we keep our looms in Mount&Blade 3????????

Think not. Fasader will probably steal two thirds of our looms. Rest goes to Poophammer, of course.

Not neccessarily something a company should care about. If ppl bought it once, they have the money in the end. They will not get anymore. However that is surely something a company should allow but we do not know it yet...

When Diablo 2 came out I told the devs my Diablo 1 character was gen one-million and they let me keep it.

I was the only D2 player with Godly Plate of the Whale.

Still, it's better than nothing, and it's functional to a certain degree.

So before posting another "lolifoundwaroftherosesomg" "omgmountandblade2willikeepmyloomslol" topic, please use it guys. Thanks.

If you would have proper sensability you would know that it's not really about the XP or the gens.

But yeah, you're a clan leader and a thief so it kinda makes sense you don't know.

Same. Got a big one right on the finger. It's really interesting. My screen isn't.

Edit:
KK, I shalt make the first decent on-topic post.

What would you have a Mount & Blade that mixes all the gameplay elements YOU want?
Along, of course, with the promised coming features (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZUfzAFL5Ek). (Better character customization, sidestepping for horses, possibly a new over-world.)

With all the unique features of Warband and WFaS together, and what we all really want in SP.
For example: Crouching, pike bracing, caravan control, business founding in cities, better & more political options, better quests, etc.
Roll these together. Mix in features you would want of your choice, in greater or lesser detail, and you have what you want Mount & Blade 2 to be like.

What should Mount & Blade 2 be, in your opinion?

Well I've been beta testing M&B2 with the cRPG2 beta mod and I can confirm you will not get your items or exp from cRPG1, if you have anymore questions about the game just PM me.

Leesin thoughtfully and promptly responded to my PM, cheers.

Also paradox really seems to be getting behind War of the Roses and they have paradoxically gone silent on M&B2... Just enjoy this pie faced poo monster we all hate to love.

If you had the common sense to know that you cannot base a person off a game,  wow virtual items are soooooooooooo important, just grow up, and stop talking

Oh yay I spend 2 months in a game to achieve an item in game just to get ripped off.

Get lost.

Why are looms even important.. The main point of CRPG is to kill people in a irritating manner and see them complain. There is more joy in that than to work hundreds of hours just so u can do 3hp more damage.

If there is a conversion for M&B2 I hope chadz will correct his one big error and remove retiring, gens, heirlooms and all that shit from the game.

yeah not likely, too many need that stuff. Well, as long as it keeps the game alive, there could be worse things.

I feel mb2 must be released within this year or there will be more and more <War of the Roses> out there with same combat mechanism BUT more/better/larger/ ......

After watching this interview I bet at least one of these two developers owns taleworld accounts.

Animations look kinda shit though. Man, the Warband community is going to give new War of the Roses players quite a scare with this system. Most of us have hundreds of hours of experience with a 4 directional attacking and blocking system, its going to take a while for the others to catch up.

Oh, and the animations are crap.

Even if it doesn't, like most games I'm sure the modding community will find a way to force larger servers  :P Chances are they will though as they said they are working on optimising it for more.

It does look nice considering it's alpha.

That footage isn't even alpha, it's pre-alpha, promo purposes only. Still a lot of room for improvement.

That actually looks very good.

For Pre Alpha its amazing.

I like how they've got the M&B combat style and improved it with the power of the hits.

Does anyone else find it funny that Paradox is the Publisher of War of the Roses and Mount and Blade?? Haha!

Im happy to see another game using the block/swing system from mount and blade.
Evry time i play a medival/fantasy game with out it i go... meh.

Looks good too, for a pre alpha, i just hope they can make the block/swings feel as natural like in warband.

Anyways... After watching that whole video I can safely say I'm looking more forward to War of the Roses than M&B2. Esspecially since War of the Roses is set in one time period and one culture instead of M&B having multiple ones.
