Title: Defense of Mechin -- A Historical Account

Attached is a short-story summarizing the Defense of Mechin

Mechin, one of the Mean Green's faction Providences was the sight of a small peasant uprising which was quickly drowned out by the Guard there. With little time, or expectation of this uprising from traitorous men, calling themselves the HATEs organized an army of peasants and small-time sellswords to make their way to Mechin in the hopes they would surprise the unsuspecting Greens. The attack, however, did not go as planned.

As we heard of the uproar of Peasants and farmers taking up their pitchforks and swords of ancestors, the guard took to life. Though our army did not scramble more troops of armaments towards Mechin, our men there would be sure to drown the squabble quickly. As the men of HATE attempted to raid into the town and win over the stockpiles of weaponry there and convert some of the townsfolk to their side of the war, they were met by solid defenses which charged forth to meet them in battle. Outarmed and Outmatched by their opposition, the HATErs quickly found themselves scrambling for able bodied men to continue fighting as their commanders attempted to flee. They were not so lucky.

Mechin belongs to the people of the Mighty Green once more, and the HATE faction is lead back to the drawing board to find another guerilla tactic they can deploy in their efforts to hold their side of the War.

Really short battle, only about 270 vs. 260 if I remember right. To sum it up; HATE didn't have a lot of armor or weapons to use, and the Greens had just a little more than they did (but not a lot more by any means).

heh, peasents, with shit gear, versus an armed army ;p. I'd say 110 tickets killed is good! Better for us, I need to lose my army. They was just steppe raiders who were run off their lands.

We didn't really have good gear either. Only had about 50 of everything that was decent, and that's all it really took.


PS...will correct the Alliance part, I thought since all of the Reds showed up for your battle and your title on Strat was red (or so I thought), you were Reds.

Yeah, dude, don't misinform the populace of your folly. We were essentially equal in gear, aside from our slightly better shields.

Anders has never been the brightest crayon in the box, forgive him. Although give him some credit, he was the ONLY person on their team to not have a negative K/D.

HATE had sarranid leather armor, 28 body, CHAOS had studded, 30 body - the main difference came from weapons and shields, most weapons were retained, and explained the lopsided slaughter.

So, no, sorry, you didn't really do much damage as the armor values were about equal and the weapons weren't really lost. If not for that fact, though, you'd be dead-on. Some guy pretty much oneshotted me with a cudgel during the fight.

I think they don't like you embellishing the story to make it seem like it was anything more than ill-equipped peasants vs knights in studded leather and strange gear. I find it funny and see the humor in the propaganda, people need to relax, it's all in good fun.

I shall exaggerate it to be that the peasants attacked a civilization of Ogres with Dragon Scale armor and 80 ft long Sabres that deal 9,001 damage.
In all actuality the gear (as a spectator mentioned) was even, we just didn't die nearly as often so we were able to keep our 40-50 sets of armor on the field a LOT longer.
