I was banned in NA 1 about a month ago for trashtalking an admin.

I posted a complaint on the forums, which Canary and Tears responded to. I'd post a link, but I can't find the thread.

After a few posts, Tears became upset and changed by ban, making it global and permanent. I remarked that I didn't even care if my ban was revoked, since the thread was a complaint against the admin, not an unban request for myself, and he used this as an excuse to extend my ban.

It was extremely petty, in my opinion.

He told me to write an unban essay, and I complied. It did address the assigned topic, although it was also sort of a rant. It was rejected by Tears, the ultimate arbiter of justice, on the grounds that it wasn't apologetic enough.

Since it's been a month, I'm back to appeal the ban.

I'll write another essay if you want, although in my opinion a 1-month ban should be more than enough punishment for a little trashtalking.

Note the admin who did this ban originally, Tears of Destiny, is no longer an admin, so I am not too sure on protocol here if any schlub admin should just take this over.

Personally I think his months ban duration + semi serious essay is enough as long as he realizes his next infraction will most likely be a real global ban, but any input is welcome.

and just for clarification tears VOLUNTARILY chose to give up admin ship on the grounds that there were too many idiots in NA

Whatever, unbanned.  Screw up and I'll make sure you don't get another chance, as you did have a reputation for griefing constantly.
