I was shot many times by jumping x-bow men that i thought, its not logical because the bolt would jump out too. Its not possible to jump with loaded xbow (shoot in air).
Sniper X-bows are enough OP and jumpshots oversteps the ballance much more. It doesent matter that accuracy is less during the jump, its simply impossible.
Fix it plz, i agree with an animation of outfalling bolt.

Throwing lances are BS and need to get removed, too, as well as throwing while backpedaling which should randomly impale the thrower on his own spear.

Yeah, that would be sensible. Well, attacking I could dig if it was overhead only, but even lowlevel crpg characters can jump absurdly high... a 12 agi guy with 10kg of gear can jump over a rouncey, tried it out once.

Kind of like Vikingr mod? They made it on there that when you jump, you stop blocking, holding your shield, attack. Everything. It was nice but then people find ways to make it gay. Like going to a spot where you have to jump to get there and then when someone jumps to get to him, he will hit the guy. It's pretty cool but gets annoying. Also this is a +1 for all Horsemen in cRPG :D

Yeah it would still be less gay than it is now. Even though one of my fav thing to do is to jump pike someone in the face :D

Nerf this! Nerf that! Nerf EVERYTHING! soon we won't have weapons and armor you'll be fighting with your dicks. its getting to the point where it makes playing this game impossible to play without somebody crying about it. Yes throwing is OP, buy a shield. HA is a pain, go inside. Xbow jump kills? ready? Come on i hate Crush and knockdown weapons like Bar mace but its not such a big deal that i need to post so chadz can save the day. Sorry for my rant just tired of hearing People Raging because they aren't on the top of the scoreboard. if it bothers you so much buy a xbow and do it to the people who do it to you. :mrgreen: Hit me with your best shot trolls i want a good laugh.:lol:

It is looking awesome when jumping Xbow-er just jump to your direction and when end of the bolt is inside your shield (between you and shield)
just pull the trigger.
And... ne voilà pas... and you dead. While you thinking what you are protected by the shield.

Yes I would love to go inside on a game with maps THAT HAVE NO INSIDE!!!!!! The only maps that actually have enterable buildings are Village and Port Assault unless you include maps with Ruins which I dont consider "inside" . All the others are outdoor shitty village maps.

Lmao. You made me laugh so hard. Get a shield? Seriously? Throwers destroy the "get a shield" type of shields instantly. :)

Well, if Xbows can do it, why nerf them? Buff archers by allowing them to also jump and shoot while maintaining their already inaccurate reticule instead of having it go to the edges of the screen. Fair is fair. Also, how about the archer reticule staying drawn in for longer than .05 seconds, whether jumping or not. :o

THE BOLT WOULDNT FLY AWAY WITH IT WHEN U JUMP! ALTHOUGH IT IS RIGHT THAT IT IS UNREALISTIC TO JUMP WITH CHARGED WEAPON OR TO SHOOT WHILE JUMPING! MAKE IT LIKE IN THE VIKINGR MOD, WHEN YOU JUMP YOU CANT USE YOUR WEP, much moar realistic <333

You CAN jump & shoot with a crossbow, just tested (in real), lol - but of course accuracy has to be very low.
Viable for shooting someone at 2-5 meters who hides behind some barrels where you can not get and slay him.
Not viable for permanantly hopping around on walls and shooting people 100 meters away...
So: accuracy penalty - yes, removal - no.
And for us archers: yep, we should be able to do that as well, but with an even higher acc penalty.

They're not real! It's some animated stuff! Everyone know that when you jump IRL you can't do shit untill you land. That's why no gravity would suck!
More serious though. I find all this ridiculous (guess rest of my post told you that). There's no OP in jumping xbow or jumpslashing. It's a part of the game, and a nice one

Jumping is fun. I.e. Jumping off a roof and hit some guy inna head.

I think jumping should be completely removed and replaced with falling to the ground and ineffectively flailing about, unable to right yourself, much like a turtle. That is, of course, until someone somehow has too much fun flailing ineffectively, which will then also need to be nerfed.

Sniper xbow is overpowered? Frankly I am considering starting a petition to rename it, since 'Sniper' suggests a 1hit1kill motif, something the weapon lacks, unless the target is wearing naught but chest hair - and you hit him in the chest. Of course, salt is rubbed into the wound when it breaks three times in a row and you have to shell out two and a half thousand gold to pay for it.

You can jump and shoot with the crossbow in real life. If you jump up, the bolt does not fall out. It may while you're falling down due to gravity, but certainly not when you're jumping up.
This thread is another fail on using "realism" to reduce fun and playability of the game. Please go and bash silly anime-Flamberge and Throwing Ballistas instead.

Nethertheless, a few x-bows nowdays have devices to hold the bolt in position ( have a look to the front clamp http://www.megagadgets.de/images/cross_bow.jpg )but not all ( http://huntingexperienceforyou.com/wp-content/uploads/image/crossbow.jpg, http://www.crossbowpackages.com/images/PSE%20Copperhead%20Crossbow.jpg )
and particulary the old wodden onesdont have it ( http://www.todsstuff.co.uk/pics/15th%20C%20cross%20bow%202.jpg ).
Maybe we should add this one http://www.1800hart.com/blog/wp-content/Crossbows_Belgian_Crossbow_Pistol__DX1233_1110.jpg less damage but you can jump and shoot ( even if you fall down :D)
