I think horse charge should be increase. If it gets increase yes bumping might get OP'ed but they also do more team damage, and you be able to press m for them team wounding. So in a way buffing horses would nerf them.

Go back to that brief period of horsebumps oneshotting people? Cav just riding through a team of people and getting multiple kills with just wasd? I think we're ok actually.

Well after observing cav for a while i would say Super Mario got it about right and jumping on people's head with your horse should instantly crush them.
Also i feel like a warhorse hitting me at about 1 km/h is not doing enough damage through my 58 Body armor.
I would like to lose more than just 2-5% at spawn.
Can we please fix this?

This would make it literally impossible to slow down cav if they did a minimum of 1 point of damage.

I think c-rpg has a pretty good mix of native and realism when it comes to horse bumping. Native is ridiculous how you basically do no damage when you horse bump (not to mention how lame it is to be full speed gallop and come to a dead stop when you hit a teammate). But to an un-armored person, a horse running you over would most likely kill you (depending on where the hooves landed).
Also, when a horse dies in c-rpg it "disappears" from existence (besides the graphic). In real life just because you killed a horse running full speed at you doesn't mean you're in the clear. That rag doll body is now flying at you.

its when i die from an ally cav running me over and the enemy gets a free shot that pisses me off. I dont have a problem when i get killed by an enemy cav.
But since ally cav have basicly nohing to lose if they horse bump you, why would they try and get an easy kill.
Just hate being more afraid of my own cav than the enemys cav!!!!!!!

yes that's realistic, but would kill the game balance of the mod. i think the big problem is that weapons aren't considered "solid" objects in the game. If I'm not moving and my pike is not being thrusted forward, I would still do massive amounts of damage to a horse who ran into it. But in c-rpg, you have to thrust to do damage. I think if weapons were solid objects, then you could maybe try to implement something like more damage from horses running you over (and horses bodies being deadly if they fly at you).
Most of the time, a "realistic" game, would never work for balance. And if it did, like in some FPS games, it would be the middle ages equivalent of of FPS games where people camp in bushes for 15 minutes a round.
Some "realistic elements" are very nice, but in reality this is an action game, not a realism mod.

I read the title of the thread and came prepared in my head with arguments for why it shouldn't be nerfed. I never expected this. Even I think its fine.
When my charging courser currently does more damage with a bump than my bow then there is definitely nothing wrong

I'm losing about 50% hp from destrier bump atm (light armour), so if something.... reduce it. Currently HA is doing more damage by bumping enemy than shooting.
So... keep it way that you actually need to hit with weapon while passing by, not just run through. Sure it would be easier then: Try to lance --> missed ---> kill with bump. Well it's like this already :)

Yes, Nintendo influences is what this mod definitely needs. Personally, I think all melee weapons should fire ranged energy beams when swung, as long as the wielder is at full health. The strength of the beam should still count as a melee attack as far as game stats are concerned (so it's still Power Strike instead of Power Draw for example). I think this would be very fair. If anything needs a buff, it's melee fighters.

lol, thats true! If someone charges with high speed it currently does a lot more damage than cute HA piekser (couldn't find any translation, leo says: pricks :P).

Watched an Arabian walk into a plate guy yesterday and kill him. Granted the plate guy would probably have been on low health but it looked ridiculous the way it just sort of "wandered over and headbutt him in slow motion".
Had 60% hp removed by a friendly horse bump from Ujin yesterday, revenge teamshot him (accidentally, he ran right across in front of me as I fired, i'm sure he remembers the epic headshot a while back! ;)) for 40% (he was at full charge too) His horsebump on me was an accident as well, I stupidly tried to avoid him and ended up running into him.
Horse archers do more damage bumping me than shooting me, granted, but that doesn't mean that horse bump should be increased. I've already rage quit for a week or so because of cavalry bumps. (Sneeze-rage ftl)

Yeah increase it to 100 damage at least. I buy me 2 shields (front and back), a fat horse and play tank - no need for weapon anymore :mrgreen:

Sorry but that is non sense. If a horse hits you, it doesnt matter if you wear armor or not. The energy will be transferred to your body, no matter if it s a super uber plate armor. Indeed a horse bump is kinda like a hit from a 500kg blunt weapon. Its lame that a horse removes 50%hp from an unarmored guy and just scratchs an armored guy.

On another note it would be quite nice to have the horse bounding box about the size of the actual horse rather than it's obese equivalent.
