Title: Archer balance?

Add a new thing that affects balance, power draw.

Now that it is era of archers new type of balance should be added, it is insane that other team has 10 arrow spittin machineguns and other has like 1 or 2..

Make it tops 60% 40%, or 65% 35%, it would be only fair thing to do.

Maybe it could split up people with power draw.

That however won't stop xbow/1h doom trolls.

im not too familiar with trhe balance system but there have been times where i wondered why the entire other team is cav/archer while the other is just infantry


im pretty sure  the two main factors are banner and kills though right?

Level is mainly what it balances, and performance in the first round for kills. After that, banner balance tries to make it where most of the people with the same banner are on the same team.

I think archery is fine. Maybe they should remove the 7.5 wait thing, which I was not aware of, and maybe some archers will use lower level gear.

Xbow is not so bad, they have to reload and it takes time. Archers can basically set up fortified position and start shooting with their machineguns.

No doubt. Ragged Outfit and Hide boots. Horn bow and regular arrows and a war spear. I guess maybe I could use a pitchfork?

Could say the same thing about cavalry.  Moreso, really.  It sucks when your team has 2 cav players and the enemy team ends up with 20.  Sometimes autobalance just ends up sucking like that.  Whaddya-gonna-do.


Really the problem is too many infantry try to super-specialize.  They'll run around with a specialty weapon, have absolutely no ability against cavalry or archers and they'll get owned.  Had they just brought a long spear, or even a lengthy two-hand sword, or some throwing daggers, they could have at least put up a fight.  Instead they're running around with a bec and 160 wpf and then posting to the forums about how archers and cavalry are op.

Iirc, 7.5 is the maximum weight one can wear (armor only) before you start losing wpf due to your weight. The formula is x2 head + x1 body +x3 hand + x1 feet = total weight (I may have gotten hand and head switched). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong :D

Sometimes the autounbalancer puts almost all ranged and almost all cavalry in the same team. I say that is kinda op in a way. Worry not I am mostly not in that superteam that it puts on. You never really realize what are the things that make you win in the public server, until you lose enough rounds. One thing is that the other team has all the ranged. Sometimes the other team has all the cavalry (GK playing and you are the one unfortunate cav who is not on their side). And sometimes the enemy has Leed :P. But I am happy when the balancer puts him into my team because he is too awesome sometimes :D.

Yes, you switched hand and head.

Agreed, there is a problem on archer balance, but as there is too much archers the only solution would be that archer excess should be put on another server.
