Title: Rename Awlpike to Ahlspiess

Basically I love it in cRPG that all the weapons have been renamed to more historically correct names. I actually really like this even though it changes nothing about gameplay or anything lol.

Now maybe you could rename the Awlpike to Ahlspiess because thats its proper name. Awlpike is jsut the poorly translated saying I think.

EDIT: Of course this doesn't actually change Gameplay or anything, I just thought it was an alright idea. Don't rage at me please

Well, if you're at it, take them time to correct the bug that allows awlpike users to stop a cav that's not even going in the direction of the awlpike plus or minus 45°. You know, horses don't get stopped by things behind them.  :|

ahlspieß = masculin
so it would be langeR ahlspiess.

btw : pike in german ist ahlspieß

do you know ß in english? :O

The game won't accept anything but numerals and the basic 26 Roman characters, plus an underscore_ in names. No Scharfes S, no Edhs and Thorns, fadaí etc.

Could be a nice moment to suggest that the term "Espada Eslavona" is completely wrong, as the real name is "Espada Esclavona"

His origin is Italian and his name is spanish , as by the date it was made Italia, spain and other actual countries were joined under same crowns...


Also I would like to see in the game one of the most old and beautiful swords ever invented, the Falcata the father of the best swords of that times like Gladius, Falchions and others.

Ah, yes, should be just as easy as renaming an item.

The Italian name is schiavona, literally the "Slavonic" sword since it was used by Croats and Slovenes fighting for the Venetian Republic.

Then It can be called "Slavonic Sword"(english),  "Spada Schiavona"(italian) or "Espada Esclavona"(spanish) ... I dont know other names  but all of them means the same

Maybe we can think about other weapons that need name changing. Like the Hafted Blades?? Are they Guan Dao's? I'm not sure. They kinda remind me them.

i thought that by new ortographic rules ß should be replaced with ss

You would be correct.

Besides, ss is generally understood to be the same as ß.  Especially in instances where ß cannot be used.  The entire reason that the rules change back and forth is due to applications like this one where ß cannot be used.

There is no such thing as a correct name for something. An item has many names, the one its creator gave it, the one its user gave it, the one its victim gave it, etc. I say either use english names for everything or try to find out the one who was most popular.

And the falcata is an antique weapon, not medieval.
