usin spammitar should be bannabel
^
There is only one weapon that I can't stand figthing against --> awlpike.
It's fuckin fast, does ridiculous damage, and stabs from point-blanlk are fuckin annoying.
visitors can't see pics , please register or loginDo you even know who's that guy?
ban awlpike shielder this is fucking retarded, they are the vultures of crpg. Pro kill stealers and not worth a cent 1on1. FUUUU!
long spears&company: i hate getting chain stunned.
Polestun really isn't that big of a problem.
Otherwise.
Great maul, everything else is coooooooooolness.
anything that can stab you when its point is already past you.
Like when a spear or pike is chambered, held back...and you are point blank against the spear-user...and even while his weapon is held back the tip of his spear is past your body because its so long..and when he releases his attack, it somehow hits you.
Or lol-stabbing or jump-stabbing when you are point-blank against the spear-user...and you can still get hit.
I HATES THE MOST!
Do you even know who's that guy?

nothing OP about the scimitar. sure the curved edge can throw you and its quick but it also has no stab so its not OP. You get more speed and damage on some 1h but no stab.Well, the elite scimitar has speed, damage and length and even as someone who prefers swords with high thrust damage I have to say that I don't feel like I have to sacrifice something for those stats.
Bodkin arrows
Two handed swords, only because of the lolstab, and separately, any weapon that can hiltslash.
any fast weapon. 15 str, rest agi, highest armour you can get and you can still spam the f*** outta most ppl with a bastard sword! Also called building smart. {sarcasm on} Let's ban intelligent builds (and also kill diversity making things as boring and predictable as possible). Let's conveniently forget about the things that build sacrifices.
You must hate all sideswing-able melee weapons then.
Seriously? What's with the hate for hiltslashing?
Especially on the NA servers there seems to be a lot of QQ about that now.
It's easily countered, easy to see coming and with proper footwork/timing nothing more than an opportunity for you to get a free hit in.
Because getting hit, (for example), by the wooden shaft of a two-handed axe and hearing the slashing sound makes a lot of sense. Also getting slashed by the dull section of some two-handed swords is cool too.
I am not saying it is not easily countered or hard for me to see. It just looks ridiculous.
elite scimi.
pikes/longspears when they lolstab you point blank.
all 2handers that do the spinning stab/overhead that hits you even though they clearly missed by a mile so you decide to let go of block to hit them and then you magically die.
but if i had to pick one... i pick the elite scimi.
The hilt-slash is lame not just for realism reasons.
First of all, there is a difference between a "realism vs balance discussion" and a game that plays like a circus. Getting slashed by a wooden haft is ridiculous no matter how to look at it...regardless of realism or balance.
It's like having horses bump you before they actually touch you. "Boo-hoo..whine about it in realism!" No, that shit would just be ridiculous. Same with hilt-slashing. You are getting hit when you shouldn't. It's a circus. It's absurd.
Second of all, in terms of balance, a long weapon should not be able to hit someone who is point-blank on top of you. I don't care of its a lol-jump-spin-stab or a hilt-slash. One of the disadvantages of longer weapons is that they bounce/glance if the enemy is too close. That is also one of the advantages of short weapons. Hilt-slashing disturbs this balance.
So yes..this is annoying as hell and should be looked at.
Scimitars, they have phantom reach, hit for full damage at the first 20 degree of their swing, making the leftswing at close range nearly unblockable. Also annoyingly fast.
you forgot about how annoying OP it is in the hands of an s key spam hero! 8-)
( besides to some degree the 2h cleaver, which also hasn't any historical equivalent, at least the weapon it is based on looks nothing like it
1h feinting speed
http://www.reliks.com/merchant.ihtml?pid=1460Yes, I'm fully aware of the Maciejowski Bible illustrations of the weapon but pray tell me on which of those pictures you see the 2h monstrosity that is in the game ? The in-game model has a much too long blade and the handle is much too short, the 1h variants are pretty spot on, however.

Weapons are fine, animations are bad.

First of all: Amen.I totaly AGREE on the 3rd one .
Secondly: Am I the only one thinking that the Swiss halberbs and bills are waaaaaaaaay too fast? Those stabs just make no sense at all.
Thirdly: Did any of you ever play Vikingr? I really liked the combat in Vikingr because it made sense in every way. The majority of the players used swords/spears/axes and shields and then there'd be a few brave ones using slow but extremely potent 2handed weapons. Everything had its advantages and weaknesses.
First of all: Amen.Funny that you say amen to that. If there is anyone that comes to mind that hiltslashes and hiltslashes with a polearm it's you.

Also, combat should get an enormous overhaul. Give us the gritty, in your face, full contact combat that medieval combat actually was. Start with replacing the kick with a pommel strike for 2h and a shieldbash for shielders.
I totaly AGREE on the 3rd one .The problem is that the majority of 2h's want an even faster game speed to make their light saber-fights more challenging... Btw, a light saber is a good comparison to the current sweetspot mechanic of the 2h-swords. :D

The majority of the 2hs are idiots :P
pikes and spears are bundle of stickss
