Seriously... what.
Two things were changed in the latest major patch:
1) animation threshold for hitting teammates (i.e. hitting teammates is easier)
2) animation threshold for hitting objects (i.e. hitting objects is easier)
No change whatsoever was made to hitboxes or anything related to regular combat.
The power of placebo.

it's all fucked up this mod, i don't play it anymore it's full of cheats including the admins, some times i can kill loads the next round none, it's all fixed time to move on and also i can't stand the sad little shits that play it 24/7 with no jobsWe shall miss you dearly.
Plus, passing through people needs to be fixed, people have passed into my body and managed to hit me, it's rediculous...

Archers get effected too.
You would complain about us a lot more if our arrows did not pass through targets as often. Then the real rage would roll in.
Who cares, you still got 33 arrows left and same number of oportunities. When that happens to a melee fighter it might be his last move.
Don't... ever... try... to... compare melee to archery. Ever again!
Swings turn into stabs, stabs into overhead, everything is simply lulz with such high ping.
