I think it just happens.

Almost every day I have arrows go through enemies or hit box "lag" wherein I shoot behind someone and see it dmg them.  :wink:

Ive noticed that in the mornings I hardly ever get any problems, but the evenings are fast becoming the worst time for me to play.

Random freezes and laggy animations just result in frustration, it's probably something to do with more people being on a night.

Overheads on 1her's have been fucked up for a couple months now, 2hed is now feeling the ghost misses now as well.

Two things were changed in the latest major patch:
1) animation threshold for hitting teammates (i.e. hitting teammates is easier)
2) animation threshold for hitting objects (i.e. hitting objects is easier)
No change whatsoever was made to hitboxes or anything related to regular combat.

ye exactly, u stopped playing your 2h mauler cuz overheads werent working properly.

but now its even worse,everytime around strat time, i feel due to server lag mostly, everything feels like im walking in mud and the sweetspot is nowhere to be found for me, i glance miss and cant block, dunno if thats my isp's fault, i called them and checked the speeds, its all fine, its not hardware lag since i got a new rig, so i guess its the servers.

the last days i'm having better ping than ever, around 99 all the time, when i used to have 120 ping. Despite of better ping I'm having this massive issues with dying with delay, hits that land 1 second after, blocks that make the sound of blocking but you die, and many weird stuff. I have notice this 2 or 3 days ago. I'm not talking about the historical mess up with the hitboxes, now it's pretty worst.

This is going on since 4 days, is not the same as allways, and is definetly positional lag + strange things. I kill many guys beyond my reach, hits go through enemys to kill allies. Blocks don't work properly. Hits that start as a sideswing end as an overhead... I don't know, this never happened to me before. It's totally annoying.
As I asked this happens to many EU_1 players.

180 degree arc is stupid. It is seriously making 2h out pace 1h. Short slash on 1h doesn't have the same kind of idiotic turn striking arc of a flamburg. The result is that hilt slashing wankary can out pace the fastest strike (according to stats) in the game. And given how fast block recovers after a strike dueling a 2h with a 1h is a bore.

WPF needs to have a much bigger effect on turnslashingwankspasms. At least then only the ninjas will be able to pull off the spasticretardedstupidwankspasm spin slashing. My 2h tank with 30str can spinhittlerslash with the best of and he is wearing piles of plate, its just obscene and shouldn't be allowed, I disgust myself.

it lags on public, duel is much better, yesterday (well technically today) 3am 60/70 people on the server (EU 1) things were running smoothly i could feint, block properly etc. any my ping was around 35/40 in daytime my ping is 65/70 still should be good but its not.

As i said before, i'm having better ping than ever this week, but seems that doesn't matter at all. This night with 58 players, the positional lag kept rocking on. sryously the overhead reach now is weird. And the dead delay kept on, too.

Getting shot in the chest when holding an overhead attack makes projectiles appear on the back or go trough the target. Random going trough was always present, but this is different.

it's all fucked up this mod, i don't play it anymore it's full of cheats including the admins, some times i can kill loads the next round none, it's all fixed time to move on and also i can't stand the sad little shits that play it 24/7 with no jobs

It's not about time,  it's fucking boring. I was playing 2-6 hours per day. Now I play less than an hour.

And if it's about time, this issue/new style is happening since 2 weeks, i think 2 weeks is enough.

Some archers told me that the positional lag piss them off too. Their arrows go trough the bodys without damage when the victim do overhead.
Sryously, crpg now is boring. I remember when i had to wait to enter EU_1 now I have always slot :/ pls fix it, the mod is loosing lots of players.

meh, it's even worse for shooting Prpavi.

As for me, it was started with implementation of game menu (c - button). Constant teleporting of a target, jelly moving, instant hits from shielders. Sometimes it's better to play on NA servers with 150+ ping than on EU with 40+.

This game has horrible net code. I didn't realize how bad it really is until I tried to play on AUS server with 350. Sure, having 350 ping is in most games unplayable because everything is late but in Warband is completely broken. Swings turn into stabs, stabs into overhead, everything is simply lulz with such high ping.

I've used to play some action games on Korean servers with 350 ping and it was never this bad.

And hitboxes are something you need to get used to. One thing is certain, don't aim based on what you see, aim based on experience...

Who cares, you still got 33 arrows left and same number of oportunities. When that happens to a melee fighter it might be his last move.

Don't... ever... try... to... compare melee to archery. Ever again!

Anywho, my point is, the hit boxes do not encourage archery over melee, both get weird shit from time to time.

I've been constantly getting glances with direct hits WITH PIERCE WEAPONS, lordly plated guys are getting impossible to kill with these server or lag issues dunno what is this about.

Funniest thing happened to me just few rounds back, i walk towards archer with my weapon loaded, he should start the wierd shake thing so can't shoot, well guess what I GOT THE SHAKE AND ARCHER WAS FREE TO ROLL!

First i had military pick, well it glanced 3 times in a row + it glanced to fking leather armor...
Second i had a steel pick, guess what, it glanced 3 times in a row..

Third i got swinged two times with overhead swing by 2h, it missed me and damaged me when i was hitting enemy when the enemys weapon was still RISING from the overhead..  :evil:

I'm not alone with these problems, i've heard many complains + my irl friends from Pantheon say this started to happen to them too just week back.

Please fix these issues!  :?

Prolly loomed armor and bad speed bonus for you, should have used up attack. Or just learn to control your swings to get some speed bonus to your attacks.

I love how that happens with my 50-60 ping too. Wrong blocks showing, wrong attacking direction showing, players teleporting and only being able to see the far end of an attacking animation. Then again, I do have shit internet and bad computer. :lol:

Well i have a good comp and good internet, but still im getting hit thru blocks and thru shield alot, and not to mention when im doing swing it turns out as a overhead, oh and hitting thru enemy and hit the own guy behind him? Mayby this isnt problkem with crpg but a problem with warband? Would still be really nice to get some fixes to these :/ Cuz i just love the game!

I think you just have to get used to it, i dont think it was better before because a lot of ppl was swinging through walls (these hitboxes were weird too) and now you can't (except maybe pikes/long spears).

Yes the right swing on every weapon starts behind you and i've seen a lot of glances on the teammate behind. The left swing on 2h/1h is almost instant.. the 2h poke/overhead lingers.. ghost reach on some weapons.. glance on every wall/people that is a lil bit close.

Get used to it.. i started to play defensive and I wait for good opportunities. my solution is to block 1-2 hits in a row most of the times. Of course i still glance on walls, still getting hit by an ended 2h overhead but now that you know all these "bugs" just watch out for them, play more defensive and you'll prolly rage less.

That is my solution i found to this and it works really well for me. I stopped playing aggresive and when i do, I die.

Practicing your block helps if you want to play defensive ;)

My problem lately is fighting 1 v 1 vs an enemy I start blocking fine the attacks then out of a sudden they release an attack so fast you get barely anytime to respond and it's so unrealistic it makes me rage quit most of the times.

Don't know if it's because of the ping (Doubt it) but it's happening lately to me and never happened before.
