Well it goes in the same category, but it isn't as harmful as archery.

many mods have drowning so i gues that wouldn be a problem to implement and removing archery underwater is also a very good idea, but since archers will drown underwater i doubt you will see any of them shooting from it  :D

Implement drowning, removes pretty much all underwater "activities".

I'd like to see a battle map set on a giant coy pond.  If players fall off the waterlillies they die.  Archers could climb atop big flowers while infantry try not to get cornered on the wrong pad.

"Some people look at the maps that are and ask 'why?' I dream of maps that never were and ask 'why not?'"

I wish that Mount and Blade had some sort of non-static items on maps so you could have the lily pads moving around and colliding... Sadly I've never seen a non-static item in M&B....

Drowning would be a nice solution to end all underwater activities i agree on that. :)

Archer in water gets concealment and protection from incoming melee, because they slow down.

Melee in water is a sitting duck. And gets concealment, but then again he can't attack anyone anyway.

Isn't hard to figure out, ToDdy.

As always:  Suggesting to remove something that is totally stupid and unrealistic, but please only remove it for archers, because a fully plated guy should be able to breathe and fight underwater, whereas underwater archery should be removed

Hardly, I've seen a full plater under water take out an entire group of archers. Being under water means slowly sneaking up on archers that are focused elsewhere is very easy. Obviously if you attack them from the front you are fucked. But what do you expect?

Remove it for all, or not at all.

.. So you've seen a full plater that moves slower than snail take out an entire group of archer underwater? What exactly is your point? If your point is that those archers would have been killed four times faster if they weren't underwater, then yes, I agree.

Just remove anything that has to do with underwater.
Characters should drown and that's it.

Btw,if you want to have some swim option, how would you do it? A guy with full plate shall be swimming around?
