Got to love the fact that they don't assess the problem before they use their admin menu. I mean please learn to use your common knowledge before switching on the admin powers. Plain and simple.

Heres the story on why i'm posting:
So first off I go into the ats 80 man to play around and out of no where i get hit in the back by my teammate perceval 2 times, so i hit him back 3 times, soo then i go on with my business and without  even a warning i get kicked by heroin_Ats, so of course i blow up and get a little mad so i rejoined the server to see why i was kicked. I asked why the hell i was kicked, the response i get is "Because you went ape shit on your teammate for no reason" That proves my point exactly, did they see me just get attacked in peseant armor by a pole-arm spammer that decides to hit me in the back 2 times? no, did they even ask why i hit him? No. They jump the gun on everything so i get pissed off and say "fuck you guys" i did get a response from heroin, finally, "O so your telling me to fuck off?" -Banned-

Btw, flexing your admin muscle is just gonna get the accuser to hate you more. haha. You guys are starting to ruin the game. lol.

I honestly didnt have a problem with you fella's till now, of course.

Take SS and report to admin (if you can make a thread about admin, i guess you can make a thread about a griefer).

Even ban poll (like griefers)

I prefer the first one, griefers don't worth attention, i don't have time for him, i have a battle to fight or a flag to take.
I understand that it's raging to lose half of life cause of a retard but i guess you are not a bad guy so you should cool down and come back later. I mean this guy don't worth you rage against admin and be banned or kicked or what else.

Ask several witnesses to the scene of an accident exactly what happened and you'll get as many different answers as there are witnesses. Humans are very silly creatures. What may seem like truth to one person may seem like a lie to another person, even if both have access to the same information and all that junk.

I can post what happened, if you like. But before I do, I encourage you to take a step back, honestly evaluate what happened, and repost the story without ANY attempt to make yourself look better than you should look. If you do that, I'll consider making your ban a short one. If I have to post the story, and dig up the chat logs, I'll ensure it sticks. Your choice.

I'll give you an hour to think about it.


EDIT: As far as "witnesses" go, the only witness I will care to hear from is Perceval, as it was only me, you, and him standing in the narrow alleyway. I don't know if he speaks english though. Has a sort of french-sounding name.

EDIT #2: Originally was going to post what actually happened 1 hour after this post, and lay out a longer-term ban if the OP didn't post an accurate account of what happened. However, so that the excuse, "I got offline, I had to go to work/school/bed/etc" cannot be used, the time limit is out. However, the ban will stay in effect permanently until the OP replies to this thread with either an accurate account of what happened, or further refusal to do so. Upon further refusal to reply in a civil, non-inflammatory way, what actually happened, a length of time for the ban will be posted by me within 24 hours of said reply.

I sincerely hope the OP takes this opportunity to man up. I don't like banning people.

Even if Heroin seem to know more of the story, you can't assume admin hear and see everything...

So maybe he just saw you hit a teammate, which is againt the rules = Kick...

then you rage the admin when you are in the wrong = Ban

Can't be more simple...

Not knowing rules isn't a excuse to get over them  :rolleyes:

I am not actually buddy with anyone in ATS, also your side of the story or heroin's side of the story, heroin is still the admin here and he has every right to kick you if it pleases him, your best bet would be to just stay low profile get unbanned and stop making shit.

I didn't get a warning before I was perm banned from EU2 today for accidental tk'ing before round end  :rolleyes: (only meant to wound, not to kill.):lol:


In my honest opinion I think NA admins do their best to keep everyone happy.... No suck up   8-)

I always issue warnings first, unless I witness the offense with my own eyes, and it is a blatant disregard of the rules. If there is any question as to whether or not someone did something wrong at all, or if the offense isn't an obvious breach of the rules, I always politely inform them to straighten up first.

Just ask Doxy and Eyebeat. Doxy was out of line earlier today while no admin was on. I got on the server, told him to stop, and advised him that I would not be kicking him, but continued violations would result in a ban. For the record, Eyebeat didn't do anything wrong except troll the admin while he was trying to do his job, but I issued him a simple warning as well. No kick, no ban, just tellin it like it is.

@OP, P.S. I understand raging on a teammate who "accidentally" hits you several times. I'm sorry to say that I've been guilty of it on more than one occasion. But it IS against the rules, and even I've been kicked for it. What I didn't do is come back and rage at the admin when I did it. Was I frustrated? Certainly. But it's not the admin's fault. It was mine. I knew the rules.

By me? Other admins deal with things differently. Lorne routinely kicked people who violated the rules, and gave them their warning when they reconnected to the server. However, he isn't an admin as of the time of this posting. There are several admins on the ATS-maintained servers. I can't tell you all of them, aside from the ones who are members of clan ATS. The current ATS admins are: Heroin, Gash, Guardian, Guts, and Ecko.

I believe that the admins on that list try to be fair and unbiased in an effort to keep as much of the community as happy as possible. But remember, admins are people, too. If you push them far enough, they may get pissed off at you. And it's not a written rule, but I'd definitely advise anyone I considered a friend not to goad, troll, or verbally assault admins.

EDIT: And why are all my negative troll points disappearing?!?!?!

All admins are free to have alternate characters, and they retain their admin powers on those alternate characters. The people are the admins, it doesn't matter what name they use.

However, most of my names are either listed here, or have both the words "Heroin" and "_ATS" them, so it's pretty easy to identify me. I also have one not-so-secret name that I use, that I don't publicize.

There are also non-ATS members who have admin on our server, like Devilize, Braeden, CtrlAltDel33t, etc.(I don't know who all of the non-ATS admins are, so don't take this as gospel.)

i support admin's fact on kicking punk, he did blood for blood(i do to if its at spawn n i see the fucker, as you stated admins dont see all and he would get away with it), he raged fair enough, i am annoyed you call his story false yet refuse to say what happened? or how you didnt see everything other wise you woulda kicked the other guy first, so how would you know the full story if you didnt see the first half? id just like to know where in his first post he lied? please fix the story for me sense you know

Fair enough. I see that you have not learned anything as of yet, since you decide to further tell the admin he has no life while he's trying to give you the opportunity to get unbanned. For your information, I always keep the forums/crpg site open while I'm playing CRPG. So, what you see as me "Waiting" is really just me having the window open while I'm playing a game. But anyhow, on to do what you would not:

I saw him hit you once while fighting an enemy. After all nearby enemies were dead, you turned around and hit him 5 times, TKing him(couldn't believe it took so many hits to kill him - Corrazina ftw). I kicked you from the server, as what he did could easily have been an accident, while what you did obviously was not. It was a kick, no big deal. You could have come back, kept your mouth shut, and went on with life.

But, you didn't. You asked why I kicked you, I told you "He hit you once, and you went ape shit on him, hitting him 5 times." I advised you that revenge killing was against the rules anyhow, even if the other guy attacks you on purpose. I then stopped paying attention to chat, because I was playing the game. Then I see, "Fuck you ATS dude" or something like that. I asked "Are you talking to me?", as I was acting in my official capacity as an admin. At this point, I was giving you the opportunity to think about what you were saying. You responded, "Yes, fuck you dude." I then handed you your ban.

Don't troll admins who are doing their job. Accept the rules of the server, or don't play there. End of story.

Since you refused to post an accurate account of what happened, I think you should be banned for no less than a week. Unban approved as of 2-10-11, assuming you do not continue complaining on the forums about the consequences of your own mistakes.

I will consider mitigating this ban to a shorter time period if a public apology is given, along with a demonstration that the OP understands why he was wrong to act as he did.

As for you're comments stating that heroin abused his power. From what i heard from multiple people besides heroin himself, you were being disrespectful which elevated yourself to a ban.

Normal bans last for 24 hours(depending on the problem) but it will now last until you settle down.

I DID assess the problem before pulling the trigger. I DID talk to you about it before I banned you. I DID give you an explanation. If you couldn't see it through your rage, I apologize, but not my fault. Several people were talking to you, many of whom I don't even know. Calling them "my buddy" isn't exactly appropriate. They were citing the rules to you. Assuming that because they know the rules, that they are my friends is an incorrect assumption.

Furthermore, in your self-professed "apology", you are attempting to share blame with me. I'll have none of that. You deserved to be kicked. You came back upset, and asked for an explanation. You deserved one. I gave it to you. You didn't like it, and decided to be disrespectful. I gave you an opportunity to "revoke" the disrespect you were showing. You didn't seize said opportunity, so I gave you a ban. At no point in there did I "jump the gun", or act prematurely. Follow these two rules and you'll never have a problem again on the NA servers:

1. Respect the rules.
2. Respect the admins.

I am not trying to go on a power trip here, and I don't want you banned for a week. It seems like you're incapable of manning up and just saying, "I'm sorry, I lost my head, and messed up. I'll try to control my temper in the future." This was the apology I was looking for. Everyone slips up now and then. I get that, and I think people should get second chances.

As such, and since I've never really seen you causing problems in the past, I will mitigate this to a 24 hour ban. Please attempt to follow the rules in the future. And if you lose your cool and break one, please don't rage on the admin that kicks you for it. They're just doing their job.

P.S. Oh, and apologies typically work best if they sound like apologies. Just sayin.

There is a difference between cursing, which as far as I know is OK in most situations, and verbally assaulting an admin.

First off; FF and TKing is against the rules.  Disrespecting the admins who voluntarily give up their play-time to moderate the servers won't help you either.

It's not up to you to judge if the player behind you hit you accidentally and act upon it yourself. If you decide to judge the player's actions and act on it - then you're in the guilty zone and only attracted admin attention towards you.  I don't know if the guy hit you intentionally or not - but i'm used to seeing the difference, so is Heroin and I will trust his judgment on it.

He kicked you. That was your warning. Take a hint, come back in the server and don't start raging about why you got kicked... that's just being retarded.

That should have been the end of it really. But it seems you were filled with rage at this little kick off the server for doing something you KNOW you shouldn't have done.

Seems Heroin has decided to be forgiving and reduce to 24hours, despite your blatant Friendly fire and disrespect even after getting your explanation.

I don't go to your house for a beer, kick your dog in the stomach, and then tell you to fuck off and expect no consequence. 

Don't be an idiot and disrespectful to any admins (ATS and non-ATS) on duty on our server. We don't feel like dealing with it.  Follow this simple advice and you'll be playing there uninterrupted forever.

You'll be unbanned later tonight if you post in the unban request section of the forums. You can apologize to Heroin now, and thank him for your shortened ban period.

As such, and since I've never really seen you causing problems in the past, I will mitigate this to a 24 hour ban. Please attempt to follow the rules in the future. And if you lose your cool and break one, please don't rage on the admin that kicks you for it. They're just doing their job.

P.S. Oh, and apologies typically work best if they sound like apologies. Just sayin.

Yeah I understand that. Thanks, but just to let you know i didnt really get to hear from u. I never heard "why the hell where u hitting him" or nothing. yea, i am sorry for my foolish attitude and decisions toward this whole situation.

bit late, but i wasn't aware of this until now.

my swing didnt reach the guy i was going for and ended up on you, standing beside me. As i recall you must have been aware of that so i don't get why you could think i deliberately hit you. In fact i wasn't even aware i hit you and was confused for a while when you went apeshit on me. Then i realised you were on your periods or something. Sorry, my bad.

Because it's of no interest. You are not allowed to TA your teammates. If someone has done something bad to you, and you take justice into your own hands, you just turned him from an offender (who gets punished) to a victim (who does NOT get punished).

Someone else already said how to react. Write in chat to an admin, start a poll, take a screenshot, whatever. But don't strike back. Control yourself. Especially you, Punked, as the chatlog reveals you are an immature choleric.
