Title: 3 mutes and you're out [On the forums, not in game]

Why not save the mod's time and ours by just silencing them for good? What is there to lose?

I think, if folks like the idea of tougher sentences for these folks, we should first try a few alternatives. What I find most lacking in my toolkit is a compendium or wiki of frequently abusive players. I'd like to see whether or not admin have had trouble with them before, what kind of trouble it was, and whether they had an comments for future judges/juries/exemutioners. There's a neat feature now where admins can comment on existing bans, but it's really not enough. I'd prefer a secret thread or something where we could discuss players/make secret lists and prescriptions.

But then again, perhaps I'm just new to this and other admin likely have much more informed views than me.

EDIT: I thought this was about in-game abusers but I don't want to delete my comment. Oops.

So why do you want to punish those few guys who have been muted and let the other continue trolling and insulting, until maybe in a few months a moderator decides to mute them?

And for those who think it's too extreme, might I also suggest an alternative where repeat offenders can have a limited number of posts per day that continues to go down as they further prove that they're incompetent. If you only have 10 posts a day, any decent minded person will use those posts to their fullest and provide some intelligent posts. However, an idiot will make it obvious that they should never be heard from again by using all 10 posts to troll. Then they can get muted again and further limited when they get off mute till they finally work their way to a daily allotted post count of 0.

Insulting admins or devs. cannot be the single reason for forum ban. Every other player or community in the game has the same right to be treated respectfully. So any action taken by a player to break this should be warned at first and be banned if he insists on committing the same troubles.

Edit: No wonder why people who have been warned couple of times before down voted this.
