Agreed, but only if it has incredibly bad accuracy, like ( This much ) , takes 1 minute to load. And causes Knockdown to the person firing the gun. for the lols

If a gun is added, then it would probably do a ton of damage, and be an almost instant hit(faster then the crossbow). Even if it did cost 95000 gold, some asshole would still buy it, and then spam the shit out of it. Only three shots=Three instant kills. It'd be like a shotgun, just hide around a corner, and when some guy walks around it, blast his punk ass. I'd say, make it cost 500000 gold, and then anyone who spends enough time to get that, deserves to use it.

Only real problem with Guns that they rendered shields useless.
So, even an early handcannon would kick the table off, Don't tell me that a regular shield could hold a projectile like that back.
I'd only like it if it plays like the Mount&Musket Flintlock Pistol: Not even from 0 range you can get a guaranteed hit/kill.

I´d really like HAndcannons.We have Crossbows, so why dont introduce a Handcannon which works similar, only with even longer loading time but more shot speed.

Not CoD? I always find this reasoning kinda dumb. I feel the urge to reply to horse buff threads with 'go play my little pony if you like horsies' or 'go play WiiSports if you like archery' to archer buff threads.

Fast melee cavalry (slow rate of fire for handguns and bad aim, a bullet might not kill a medium sized horse anyways)
Horse Archers (faster rate of fire than handguns, out ranges, too fast to target)
Light infantry good at dodging and ninjas
Ranged infantry that has a faster rate of fire, better accuracy, and longer range than the firearm wielder (any mid-tier bow or xbow)
Fire arms would be effective against close-by, slow-moving targets. Their "balance-niche" would be a slow reloading, more powerful, and less accurate crossbow. Good for tight entry points like bridges, causeways, tunnels, corners, etc.

- cant be used on horseback
- requires 18 strength at least (so users do not run very fast and the user has to convert points to use stronger types)
- about 80 pierce demage (balance team could handle this better than me)
- you cant reload while moving
- cant be fired while moving
- need to be couched like a crossbow
- should have a small extention time after you 'release' the mouse key to fire and the moment the bullet is launched ( should simulate the liting with the match and bring more balance)
- bullets should fly 'directly' on the target and should have a higher velocity than xbows (no bullet drop on range)
- medieval firearms should be inaccurate
- they should have stats so they pierce most of the wooden shields even on range, but should not deal a lot of demage to guy behind the shield. steel shields should be unpenetratable (gives realism + difference from crossbows though it doesnt make OP imo)
- they should have a long reload time (so users are dependant from cover)
- handguns should need 2 slots
- handgun ammo should be reduced to 5 bullets ( so the gunner has to place his shots on purpose and cant spam on range. gives realism and balance)

If you're taking this seriously, It isn't realistic, they had loads of bullets for one reason, so they could keep on spamming there shots, one might not hit, but if you keep on doing it some might.

but its the ppoint that they had to place their volleys very accurate and in the right time...
crpg handgunners shouldn't waste ammo and time their fireing precise.

If it costs more than the Arbalest, and you can only have 2 bullets which must be insanely expensive with about a 40 second reload time then sure add it.

dont solve the problem by just making the upkeep for it explosivly high ! thats lazy and a bad solution for gameplay !

If we have a model it makes sense.
2 or 3 slot
8-10 ammo max
is unloaded at start of round(clever imho)
it would not be experienced based and have therefore a high upkeep %
and finally inaccurate

Having early firearms wouldn't disrupt the balance. For reasons already countlessly said. Only reason not to add it would be for certain look. But seeing cRPG is about diversity it would only add to the mod.

Also cartridges were in the game earlier, same with the handcannon apparantly. So if was definately planned.
But what I don't understand: Why not even test it? Makes no sense.
