Cataphract Horse
hit points: 120 (-10)
body armor: 47 (+3)
difficulty: 5
speed: 38 (-2)
maneuver: 40 (-1)
charge: 38 (+2)
44,711 (+9000)
Large Warhorse
hit points: 130 (+10)
body armor: 43 (-4)
difficulty: 5
speed: 40 (+2)
maneuver: 41 (+1)
charge: 36 (-2)
35,196 (-9000)
So many benefits to the Large Warhorse for nearly 10k cheaper, doesn't seem internally balanced to me. Too affordable a choice for heavy cav with massive stat advantages over next tier of cav

true dat

Large Warhorse needs a buff, not a nerf...

only if we nerf swingspeed athletics and ironflesh.
-
if anything, -5 HP on large war horse, +5 HP on cataphract. Other than the HP being more than cata, it scales along well with other horses as they get heavier (more armour as they get heavier, less speed, less maneuver, but more HP, more armour, and more charge damage).
-
The price difference is basically the same between a Rouncey and a Courser, yet the Cataphract is significantly worse of an improvement then the difference between any other tier of a horse. Buff Cata HP, lower Warhorse HP, and take a look at the maneuver values. If anything, they should be lowered across the board for heavier cav. Also take a look at the armor increase especially, 3k between War Horse and Large War horse for 3 more armor, 9k for 4 more armor between Large Warhorse and Cataphract. It just doesn't seem right to me. The next horse, Charger, has 11 more armor for about 8k. The Cataphract needs a slight buff and Large Warhorse slight nerfs.

Cata is weaboo shit, that's why it's expensive.
-
Cataphracts...are weeaboo? I thought weeaboo was specifically Japanese stuff.
-
Leshma is trolling.
-
No, I'm not trolling. Cataphracts were mainly used by Shogunate, thus weaboo.
-
The word comes from Greek. Ancient Greece didn't do a lot of warring with the Shogunate, IIRC.

The Shogunate clan also used Gothic Plate. Useless to compare.
As for real Shoguns, they never used Cataphracts, that was an Eastern Roman Empire horse used by the Scholarii, Kataphraktoi and such similar horsemen.

I know that...
But I think that weaboo items in this mod are gimped (or overpriced) because Fasader doesn't like Shogunates.
Might be wrong tho...

Only Georges in the beginning, after that some of them used it occasionally.

Holy shit Leshma, get out of this thread, you are the worst poster I've seen, this is a balance forum and your posts are GARBAGE, you aren't allowed in any of my threads again
-
Now now Smoothrage, this is not worth getting worked up about. Every thread in the SC or GB forums have at least one "WTF" post.

I do agree with you that Large Warhorse is too good for it's price (that's why I'm getting one on my alt).
Also can't believe that member of LLJK called my posting garbage. I still remember heavy trolling you guys did on EU1 back in the days. I rarely troll in game, that's what forums are for. And don't think that developers of this mod care about anything you LLJK guys post, cause they don't give a damn. Same goes for my posting, same for Tears
But keep making threads and I'll keep posting my usual garbage in your threads. We are both entitled to it, until someone makes you forum admin and that will be a sad day for c-rpg, I'm sure of it.

Please nerf all calf and make the riders health drop by half when there beloved best friend pony dies.

Only if you learn to not swing like a lunatic and stop team hitting everyone within a quarter mile radius around you. You were dangerous enough with that morning star, but now that you are using that polearm you are a public menace.

My own actions have nothing to do with the love that exist between a rider and pony and the heartbreak when the rouncy dash dies.

Just like your comment of heartbreak and the topic of this thread?

Since my thread has been derailed as it is..
One time Goatee was looking for a new weapon to try. I observed his playstyle and recommended him a Flamberge. Within a day or two, the owner of the last LLJK teamspeak (who rarely played cRPG, it was common use) permabanned Goatee off it with the condition that he had to stop using a Flamberge to be allowed back in. We proceeded to found our own team speak, as LLJK believes deeply in personal liberty and freedom of choice.

Large warhorses have anatomically larger hearts and should cause greater heartbreak which would nerf them.
-
I think Goatee should obtain a MW Flamberge. This sounds like a magnificent idea.
-
To try and steer this thread back onto topic, I think all armoured horses need a nerf, not just the large wahorse. They are just so much easier to use than the lighter horses and the only balance is cost... which is a bad way to balance what with the marketplace and everything.
