Give me my 2 hours 41 minutes back
Nah seriously... i got the attention .. oh.. a bird

This video is so trippy!
However, as a kid my grand father always told me, 'if you can, invest in property, then you're potentially set for life', shame I've never had enough money to own my own property though, unlike him.

This programme/documentary speaks about concepts I'm already aware of, concepts that I base some of my principles on. I've watched many documentaries about life, war history, the universe and quantum physics, far more interesting than what's IN, what that celeb is wearing or oh wow look at that handbag, or omgawd look at my car.

zeitgeist = english word? what does it mean?
No idea tbh, you'd probably find the answer on google. A coincidence, the shop where I bought my 2h bastard sword from is called Zeitgeist.
-
zeitgeist = english word? what does it mean?
Basically the characteristic attributes of a particular time.
-
zeitgeist = english word? what does it mean?
It means time ghost. It's German.
-
I've watched the previous movies. I really like the idea of removing monetary system - finally something interesting and worth trying to achieve.
-
I think I watched chunks of the first one. Awful. If you've got anything to do today it's more worth your time than this series.

The one posted by Noctivagant is the only one I've watched, ok I didn't watch it all but I watched about half of it, and it makes sense. It's interesting if you're interested in societies and human nature ect.

It's mostly a bunch of poorly researched propaganda put together in a way designed to manipulate. Tinfoil hat supreme.

i'd sum up my view of "zeitgeist" as this: "zeitgeist" has some good side-effects

Just take the war part Restrepo (http://www.icefilms.info/ip.php?v=121752&) and watch this and No End in Sight (http://www.icefilms.info/ip.php?v=109243&)
then Tillman story (http://www.icefilms.info/ip.php?v=124413&)
Were you listened the part talking about health care? then watch Sicko (http://www.icefilms.info/ip.php?v=2880&)
Consumerism? check this one out Home (http://www.icefilms.info/ip.php?v=23543&)
Still didn't get anything? maybe you should just live and let die and in the end die insignificantly like anyone else (like me I'm no different, so no offense)

2012: Science or Superstition (http://www.icefilms.info/ip.php?v=21824&) This is tinfoil hat supreme
2012 Countdown to Armageddon (http://www.icefilms.info/ip.php?v=122775&) or this
Giving basics of the current system is not making a poor research. Well if you are curious about it you go in dept to topics and make your own. I admit the moving forward is a bit theatrical compared to addendum and a bit repeating itself, I can agree with that part.
But I'll give you some examples from myself
You know how I earn my money, I'm making art/science and teaching youngsters on very low rates to help them to be more creative. I've been invited to University of Twente for my mathematical explanation of form and aesthetics in 2009. Not showing off just giving a brief information don't get me wrong. While I'm working like that dutch politician Geert Wilders makes more money than me just by being plain racist and his education level is incomparable to mine. I don't wanna make more money no, I just want to understand what he does he do and why its more important than scientists work.
My problem is not that its unfair but its illogical.
I got friends in University working on liquid engineering and making the same money as the lady working in the university cafeteria.
Just read about Edward Bernays, the man I hate the most and visit an Apple store, talk to some people and it will ring a bell.
Visit a nightclub take a good look at people, observe their behaviors. Yes it will ring a bell.
Open a news paper find paparazzi news, there are many people like to read it, they can vote too. Example? Silvio Berlusconi rocking since 1936.
Do you still think that its conspiracy theory? or its just an illogical, immature, egoistic system.
-
i say: war is bad thing. BUT!!!!!
but it's also some wicked sort of art. oh, and it keeps the world spinning around. there would be no art if there was no war. you wouldn't play computer games if there were no war. etc
edit: war is also very human

Exactly what i was going to say. What a load of woo ( or poo) !

If we didn't have technology, we wouldn't have c-rpg!
If we didn't have wars, we wouldn't have cr-pg either!
Than the world would be really fucked up!
Fishes like me need something to waste their time on, besides swimming and eating each other.
-
As i've seen other Zeitgeist movies i did not bother to waste my time with this one.
Always some coincidences summed up to be facts wrapped in conspiracy theories to influence weak and insecure minds.
P.S. I think Zeitgeist is already an english used word like Kindergarten or Kurzarbeit
Means as much as the "spirit of a time"
-
It means time ghost. It's German.
I am German :D
Zeit = time
Geist = ghost
timeghost? :D

in croatia we like germanisms and in repairing pianos we have our own lingo (slang) and we call it "demfer drukcange" (daempferkeil = demfer) (drukzange = klijeta za oblikovanje but it is to long and complicated)
-

:D but I thought I was a pro :(

-
Mir war schon klar, dass es nicht Time Ghost heißt :D
Ist Zeitgeist so ein Wort wie Kindergarten oder Blitzkrieg oder benutzen die Amis es einfach nur weils anscheinend cooler klingt? ;)

Only the Americans use kindergarten. Sensible English types think it sounds ridiculous, not cool.
It's just because English speaking countries are quite lazy, so they steal other people's words for things instead of making their own. Though German has a strangely more creative, or at least easier, way of describing new concepts that I think English doesn't have - if you want a new word for a new concept or idea you just find all the words that sort of/nearly describe it and stick them all together :)
Which is why we use Zeitgeist - in English you can't stick spirit and time together, you have to put 'of the' in there, which makes it clumsier to say.

please, the longest german word you can remember of

ive watched all the zeitgeist films
good shit
makes you think
thats all it should do.
if you take your beliefs off of what a movie says you fail
if you take what movies like this give you and formulate your own true point of view then you win
