If I get good ideas. Historical reenactments require background work, so I've been avoiding them until now. But if you want such a theme battle, we will have one!

That Viking vs Monks battle was not so "successful", from beginning to the end people whined about that Monks used 2h and horses...
We should anyway remake that battle, it was fun.. ehrm yeah it always can be improved!

I admit monks with horses was bit of a overkill, but I'm not really enthustiastic on recreating this one. It was easier for me to organize these battles in the past when strategus was up and I could buy all the equip. I think that nowdays we must hold these battles in the Fallen RP server, and players must buy their own gear for it.

As i said before, tournament arena. Using the arena armours and shields + practice weapons, only to organize the battles. Ofcourse, we could do larger than in singleplayer.
Maybe 10 players in each team?

I think this kind of fight is possible, but it seems a little boring to me.

Hmm.. i don't know. I really like arena tournaments :/. Don't you like 8 people in each coloured team killing each other?

To reconstruct some history battle - it's hard from many points and (IMHO) isn't so serious interesting to players.
But to play in "restricted" rules battle -it's interesting.
FOr exaple it can be Falchion+Spears vs Sword+ Sword + shield

7.*Iceage Mammoth hunt (1 or 2 plated chargers with full plate riders with steel shields turtling vs naked natives with darts)"
8.*Ladderpult Arena Extreme!"
9.*XP pyramid king of the hill! (ladders making a pyramid, the players will climb up and try to be the king of the hill)"
10.*7 samurai! (samurai protect peasants from bandit horsemen)"
11.*Civilian Sawhouse! (take on an old quake map, a "flag" must be carried across a field by naked peasants, guarded by 2 tank cavalry)"
12.*DESTROY THE TEMPLE! (high priests must defend a massive siege shield/ladder temple)"
13.*Ogre vs angry mob! (torches and pitchforks!)
14.*Boxing match! (helmet, gauntlets and boots only!)

300 style battle.
naked persons with huscarls and 1-H weapons+spears
vs.
'Immortals' in black coat of plates, vaegir helmet, leatehr gloves, black boots and i dunno what weap
The spartans would be trying to hold some kind of passage with a shield wall, while immortals should be charging them

How about some Calradian reenactments. The Vaegirs holding out in Rivacheg againist the Nord invasion. Or the Rhodoks learning to take up spear and shield to rebel againist the Swadians.

I think we could do the Rivacheg invasion some day next week. If someone cares to help me a bit with these by making an equipment list for both sides, I would appreciate it. I'm quite busy IRL now, but I can still organize the battle, I just need help with the details :D

Strategus is back, these will be also be back when I have to time from clan duties. Did you think I'd forget my lovely theme battles ;)
Nevertheless, I know every clan is busy recruiting, but if any neutral players want to participate, I'd appreciate very much.

I'd love to see some historical battles like agincourt or the battle of the golden spurs (Flemish pwesants PWNING French knights in 1302, litterally translated from Dutch, so prolly has another name in English)
note: mud that slows cavalry: slightly rough terrain that slows horses and infantry, althoug infantry significantly less that the horses.
Agincourt:
muddy field that French team consisting of knights, footknights (2h, polearms and some 1h) and very few XBow must cross, while English lines consisting of longbowmen and mainly polearm infantry (polearm and some 1h as generals bodyguard) and 1 very expierienced archer leading the volkleys, and other archers just have to adjust to his angle.
Gulden spurs battle:

Purpose is to bring people together, not establish battles becuase of borders. So -1 for Ming's idea.

I d like a line battle.
Medium Armor and Arbalast as the only weapon.
Then people have to line up in 2 lines and fire by rank :)

If you're rich in cRPG, you can buy strategus gold and troops from people and have them deliver those to me.

+1 to this, could do Stone Age battles (naked with spiked clubs, goedendags, studded warclubs and sticks, or stone throwers with ragged outfit)
Could do opposing siege camps with siege shields and catapults and healing tents and siege towers.
Could have an assassin style game with deathmatch... some people RP as guards, someone is the VIP and a few are assassins.

You could get dudes in robes and with staffs having to type "[conversion target]: EYOYOYO EYOYOYO WOLOLO WOLOLO" in chat to make people team attack
