Much better.

For riding a horse you should have to get a "riding license."

You'd have to go through an obstacle course, answer question etc. Every two weeks.

The obstacle course would consist a heavily populated area where the rider has to get from point A to B, without bumping anyone.

If you bump one guy, fine. But bump 2 or 3, and oops, no license.

I know, stupid suggestion is stupid. But it sounds funny.

I suggested this once, mainly for fun, but yeah.

YES! It saddens me whenever I see another cav do this. I always go for bumping the enemy, not even DARING to attack because I want to keep my precious teammate safe. I have gotten so many "thank you" for this and "wow, a USEFUL friendly cav!" to me because of it. But with all those other cav players who DON'T do that but instead killhungry try to get a cheap kill, I can only see the frustration and despair in my footmen allies and I just KNOW how they will rage about cav later on. IMPLEMENT THIS! I will sign up as one of the first to take this and if I am not deemed worthy enough to ride a horse in battle. Well. Then so be it! As long as my teammates are safe and sound!

I still try the kill often as cav because in the end it isn't that more risky than bumping. However as inf I try to make space between me and the opponent to make the bumping/killing easier when I see an allied cav incoming. And I see very few inf doing this. The core of the cav skill here is to distinguish fights that go well and fights that don't. It's often very difficult to do with duels.

About the suggestion, I know it's impossible to do but I would say yes if we could.

The inf on your team that are really retarded are the ones that continue to try and fight, when all they have to do is step back and let the cav guy hanging around horse bump them and instant easy kill for the footmen. Problem is, most don't, and then they complain at you when they spin around suddenly and get caught under your hooves meaning they are the ones to get killed

It's the same with archers shooting into melee. If your friendly inf was smart, they'd manoeuvre so the enemy is side on and your archer has a clear shot. But friendly inf never does this and continues to fight and then complains when they get team hit.

Eyes? Usually those archers are right in front of you/cav circling. It's usually pretty damn obvious.

If you need a license to drive a horse then you need a license to use a weapon, considering for every cav bumping tking fool there is some dumb melee bastard spamming swings in spawn or tking teammates because he is so greedy for the kill.

I wish if you put athletics up to 13 you could knock over people just by running into them. Now THAT would be fun to watch, imagine the tears.

True, but that sword swings both ways. Too many times have I been fighting someone in melee and had some random hero come cartwheeling out of NOWHERE and take one of my swings to the back of the head and spend the rest of the game complaining about it or even have the audacity to poll me! As if it was somehow my fault I can't watch every single friendly player within line of sight of me at all times, its crazy.

I don't have any problems doing that. You just need to keep it mind.

Also, I avoid turning around enemies like an idiot when I have inf teammates nearby. It doesn't help them at all, just like archers and cav.

Perhaps that cavalryman is attempting to save your ass from a 2v1? Or maybe he wants to be a help. Perhaps even both.

On the other hand, he may be the worst cavalryman in the game. He may be hungry for kills. He may teamwound/teamkill you.

- Regardless, I like the suggestion... sort of. It would be nice, but I see no way to implement such a thing.

Friendly cavalry that want to help you are just as dangerous as friendly inf or archers. But psychologically, you will tolerate TD and TK from your own class much more than from others.

+1, also implement Ranged Weapon tests, too often have i been shot in the back by friendly archers. Ranged weapons licenses require tests every 2 weeks to ensure only qualified people get them.
Same with melee weapons, i keep getting teamhit. Implement Melee licenses.

Lol...I have to say though, a remarkable number of my friendly horse bumps come from lag spikes annoyingly.

It also frustrates me when people rage at cav for horse bumping on round start. It's kinda like...what do you expect? Most infantry just blindly run forwards from spawn and ignore the cav that has to get through them quickly to fight their cav. If you don't let us through fast enough, chances are you'll be raped by enemy cav more quickly. And 90% of the time you don't get damaged so don't complain, or move out the damn way on round start.

Better yet, instead of requiring actual driving skill, replace it with actual driving punishment. Obviously, as this game is based on war, running over teammates doesn't count, but anyone who team bumps should be arrested.

Am I the only cav smart enough to wait for the infantry to scatter enough from spawn so I don't accidently smack into them? It's not like immediately rushing head first into battle is gonna turn out well for you. Might as well wait

players should have a license to play crpg!
You would get tested and if your a whiney/griefing/trolling/flaming bitch or that your a 12 years old call of duty pro you should be banned from the game

oh wait...

Problem is the cav likes to get engaged with their cav as quickly as possible because doing so can be game changing. Having to wait for all the infantry to move is a pain the arse. And to be honest, I don't see why we should wait for them when all they do is blindly press the W key without moving out of the way. Then bitching about it when they get a slight knock.

No matter what class it is there are always going to be idiot players doing stupid shit or newbs making honest mistakes. So, the way i see it, we can either contantly wine and complain about it, or we could just enjoy what we have in the game and not worry about it. Idiots will be idiots no matter how much they are complained about and newbs will evenchally get better, so it's just a waste of energy to complain.
